Updates! What's New at Magic Kingdom ~ Disney Changes Everything

Hey what's going on everybody? Rick here and this is what's happening right now at Disney's Magic Kingdom. For me it's always a question. Monorail or ferry boat? Ferry boat update. A new ferry arrives in 2027. That's the first new ferry boat since 1976. This is going to expand the TTC transportation capacity and it's going to be named after former Disney exec Meg Crofton. There are a lot of construction walls at the ticketing and transportation center. These are right by the ticketing booths. The answer for today's question is monorail not ferry boat. A ferry boat just departed so this is going to be quicker. And here is my ride now. This was definitely the right call. I'm a little far away now but some work being done on the contemporary hotel. That was a little rough though because it didn't seem like the air conditioning was working on the red monorail today. You know what song is stuck in my head right now? Not a Disney song. My baby takes the morning train. He works from nine to five and then. All right let's begin our trek around the park. And now a cute little parade highlight. The Adventure Friends cavalcade. The parade is really popping off. Merry poppins. A short ditty of a parade. Well I have some updates for you whether I take a right path around the park or a left path around the park. What do you say Flicksters? Let's go right. Wait wait wait wait wait a second. Before we go left or right there's an update I have to check on. Oh yes it is still here. The dam is still here. The question is who's going to get the damn jokes? I will be your damn tour guide. I don't know if we're going to have any damn souvenirs but there are some damn jokes. They are damn good ones. Everyone deserves some good damn jokes. Talk about inflation. It used to be find a penny pick it up all day long you'll have good luck. The cost of that luck is now a dime. Tomorrowland has some completed updates plus some rumors and Disney community speculation we need to go over. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin recently reopened. I'm surprised it has a longer wait than Big Thunder Mountain's 45 minutes right now. But it reopened with new interactive targets, improved lighting and sound, handheld blasters, updating scoring, and new character additions. Now that Buzz Lightyear's rework is in the books there's continued speculation around Tomorrowland's modernization. Ongoing discussions in the Disney community around updates or future updates to Space Mountain and the Carousel of Progress. There's still a lot of fan speculation around that. Yeah I've been hearing about this uh supposed update of the Carousel of Progress for a while including the rumor that Orlando will get its own Walt Disney animatronic. The man Walt I think they have it in California right correct me if I'm wrong but yeah yeah they do I've seen some videos on it but maybe one here in Orlando. When it comes to Space Mountain what could they do to it? I like the ride as it is in its current form. I'm happy with it. One of my favorite rides here just like Big Thunder Mountain but you know I don't know uh we'll see if anything is done with but by the way let me mention this real fast holy smokes it's only 10 minute wait wow it's a really dark ride it doesn't make for a good pov you know for recording other than maybe like one or two sections looks good on camera but I can give you some highlights of the people mover today all right here we go now we're moving this is the tta blue line greetings intergalactic travelers welcome aboard the people mover presented by enterprise i'm mori5 your guide aboard this highway in the sky the absolute best way to see tomorrow land and my stars is there ever lots to see from spacecraft to monster land there's really nothing like today in tomorrow land for your safety if you have wings jetpacks or gravity polarizers thank you best tracks of the cosmos for a bit of light speedy competition thank you it is the astro orbiter our celestial symbol of construction walls as does the scrim around the big top king triton has a dad bod i have a dad bod one of two rides that serves as a litmus test to the busyness of the park in any day is right here seven dwarves mine train 35 minute wait oh my gosh it is a really slow day well you know when the park is going to close at 5 30 what do you expect less daytime guests i think universal's epic universe is starting to learn from disney especially near super nintendo world disney is superb at stroller parking management one of two rides that will give you a good idea of how busy or not busy the park is peter pan's flight currently a 35 minute wait so that is saying it is not a busy day we have some construction walls in this area some restrooms are being refurbished don't worry they do tell you where the next closest ones are binoculars village house into liberty square you know rivers of america that was more of a a liberty square attraction whereas what's replacing it piston peak that's more of a frontier attraction i've never thought of it that way before work on the haunted mansion exterior continues scrim of course that looks like the haunted mansion scaffolding have appeared around sections of the mansion and nearby pathways and sightlines have changed because of the expansion coming to you know piston peak and villains land here's a little musical intermission if you don't want to see the performance here i will just leave a time step of where you can skip ahead to get back to the updates hit it boys flicksters anything of note in adventure land the camel is spitting its water over here at the doggy the service dog you know a little refreshing spritz for puppy over there wait time for the jungle cruise not too shabby 35 minutes standby fyi the park closes early today just 5 30 so i think a lot of people probably saw that and decided not to purchase a daytime ticket for today therefore should be like lower wait times right in the span of just two minutes they raised it another five minutes it's now 40. all right it's a five-minute wait for pirates i cannot pass this up well more like a 10-minute wait but it's still pretty good speak up order your patsy a swim with davy jones scurvy scum do i hear ten he was angry that day my friend like an old man trying to send back super deli and the pirate will follow you home oh we've got some booming updates in frontierland major changes here in frontierland just look at all the construction walls behind these construction walls the creation of piston peak disney's new cars themed area replacing the old rivers of america footprint and it's becoming more defined the former rivers area being completely transformed as is tom sawyer's island demolition of the old waterfront structures the ride route is becoming visible but you tell me what you think about this in the comment section below are you in favor of the change adding piston peak or not let me know so i suppose i should share my opinion since i asked for yours to begin with i was a little disappointed with rivers of america going away i did enjoy that that uh that paddle boat if not every time i was here maybe just once a year quite honestly but i did enjoy every time i was here the sights and the sounds of it but i'm taking a wait and see approach you know with today's modern technology and and the idea of very immersive theming that has grown over the years the new land could be the biggest update of the day big thunder mountain railroad has reopened as the refurbishment is done a few weeks ago this happened and it was some crazy long lines too it was crazy but they have updated some effects there's new rock work and scenic refreshes new trains the track was completely replaced so definitely a smoother ride which i think because of that disney was able to lower the height requirement so more people are going to ride this now well short people our kids but that will probably increase the wait time now you know more people can get on it wait times in general should increase right piston peak is going to be a part of frontier land but beyond frontier land villain's land is coming so this massive land clearing behind big thunder mountain railroad is for that land earth moving equipment visible from parts of frontier land and definitely the queue of big thunder mountain they're building like higher walls i think utility work and foundation prep reportedly underway disney has confirmed the new villain's land we can expect two major attractions and of course dining and shopping a dark immersive environment themed to disney villains isn't there a line in a tina turner song that says beyond thunder dome we will amend it for our case to be a beyond thunder mountain ladies and gentlemen i present to you disney's scream splash laugh whoa watch out you snuck up on me i barely saw you there i feel a cozy mosey coming on a cozy mosey down main street usa didn't think you wanted to see the umbrella the whole mosey you know what i forgot to do i meant to show some disney merchandise oh well next time next time i've got to make sure i include that not its own merch search but you know pop in and out of some stores and show some disney merch oh no what am i doing i'm on the wrong side of the street what am i english do the english still drive on the wrong side of the street anyways i'm american i need to be either in the middle or on the right side i'm past the umbrella now you know we didn't run into the dapper dance today either but we did get a lot of entertainment cavalcade band rides the park is closing early i'm not at closing time yet but i will beat the crowds don't worry let me get over here i'm gonna do a 180 and let you see the castle one last time shall i zoom into on with the mosey that was not the ending shot i know some of you do enjoy a good cozy mosey i know some do not i'm assuming they have clicked off already so it really the railway offices i was hoping for a little more cloud coverage today and maybe a little bit of a sprinkling rain to cool us off but that did not happen it was still better than like a a full sun
