Inside Out 2 Tattletales
Joy is responsible for keeping Riley happy. Easy, right? If she protects Riley's sense of
self and her belief system, everything will be fine. But Riley is 13 now, will she stay the same
girl Joy knows and loves? Can Joy help Riley adapt to the new challenges of adolescence?
Anger is intense, for better and for worse. He's a literal hothead who cares deeply about Riley.
He helps Riley stand up for herself, overcome obstacles and set boundaries. Anger is valuable
when he knows where and when to direct his energy. He's pretty good at hockey too.
Anwi is one of Riley's new emotions, not that she cares or whatever.
Anwi is always there to help Riley play it cool or deliver a good eye roll,
even if she does that from over on the couch. If Anwi is driving, she just uses the app on her phone.
Embarrassment is a quiet guy who stands in the corner. Until Riley gets into an awkward situation
and it's time to sprawl on the console. Sadness has a lot in common with embarrassment,
she's still working on her confidence. But sadness is stronger and more important
than she realizes. Riley can't always be happy. Fear has always protected Riley from the scary
things she can see. But her new emotion anxiety protects Riley from the scary stuff she can't see.
Like the future. Anxiety is very worried about starting high school, so she makes plans to
prepare. Anxiety tries to be helpful, but sometimes she forgets about what's important
and becomes too controlling. Disgust is more important now than ever. She helps Riley decide
what's cool and what's gross. Disgust is vocal about her opinions and Envy is vocal about her
aspirations. It's important for Riley to know what she wants,
but she also needs to appreciate what she already has.
