Cars. A day at the races.
Lightning McQueen was looking for a new place to call home.
He decided that Radiator Springs was the perfect spot to settle down
and build a racetrack.
All his friends were happy to have him back in their little town.
Now, Radiator Springs had a first-class racetrack.
Every morning, Doc taught basic racing skills,
and in the afternoon, McQueen took
the cars for a spin on the new track.
Soon, race cars from all over the world
were coming to Radiator Springs.
A car named Otto had traveled all the way
from Germany to race with McQueen.
Sheriff caught Otto speeding into town and gave him a ticket.
Otto was confused. He thought Sheriff was asking for his autograph.
The more McQueen taught his new students, the faster they became.
Otto was McQueen's best pupil.
He was right behind McQueen every time they raced.
It was good practice for McQueen.
A tired McQueen decided to take his number one student
into town for a break from the track.
You've got to be fast, but you've got to have style,
too, McQueen said as he led Otto to Lizzie's shop.
Lizzie was happy to have a new customer.
She wanted to make a sale.
Lizzie covered Otto in stickers.
Otto might have been fast on the track,
but when it came to making a sale, Lizzie was faster.
Looking good, Otto, McQueen said with a laugh.
Maybe too good.
That afternoon,
McQueen decided to have a race and invite everyone in town.
He gathered all his students at the starting line,
and then they were off.
Otto didn't hold back.
He was tied with McQueen for most of the race.
McQueen poured on the speed.
He had saved his best move for last.
He crossed the finish line first by the tip of his tongue.
It's not enough to be the fastest, McQueen told his students.
You've got to taste the victory.
All the race cars laughed.
Lightning McQueen was still the best.
Ka-chow!
The end.
