The tutorial covers the specific color palette, brush selection, and the step-by-step process of layering colors to create depth in the flower bud and accompanying leaves.
Hi, this is Ling Qi, brush painting for beginners.
Today we're doing a peony bud on pee paper, which is a little bit easier moisture control.
I'll show the color a little different than the double-strand jade plate.
I'm using the chip color rouge, crimson, sakura for the bud, and I might use a little ink
for the center, and then the leaves, chunk yellow, indigo, and mix it with the green.
So we are using lotus petal brush.
You can use medium size combination brush for this subject.
One brush should be able to finish the whole composition.
Always rinse the tip off when you have quite.
My color red got too deep into the white, so I'm completely cleaning the brush, and
then I rinse the tip off.
The center, I'm using ink to be more dark.
Red, rouge, and ink.
Then I'm going back in the lighter color, white, rinse the tip off with a little bit
crimson and rouge.
Alright, and then I'm doing the bottom one, which is the wrong shape, looking the other
way.
White, rinse the top off, red, rouge, rouge, a little ink for the center.
Alright, and then we're going to do two-sided leaves.
The right side, we start with a little yellow with a little green, and for the holder, darker
one for the link here, and then another small dark leaf behind here.
So, that will finish this one on P-paper.
