Hey everyone we are in home number three of our model home tour of Nanakai up in Waikoloa,
South Kohala. This is a new development being brokered by Tomo Matsumoto over at Hapuna. Big
thanks to her for letting us bring these to you. We're going to check out the outside the inside,
tell you our three favorite things. Be sure to like, subscribe, ring the bell for notifications
so you can know when the next ones come up and also go back and look at the previous two that
we've done is we compare each of these five completely different models, totally different
floor plans. One thing this builder did which is really kind of unique to a lot of builders is each
house is totally different. A lot of times you go into these neighborhoods and they're all kind of
the same with slight differences. These are all really different so you'll probably find something
that you like. These models are outstanding. You're going to love them. Let's get to it.
Aloha everybody. I'm Mike Drewtar, principal broker of Next Home Paradise Realty, a 20-year
real estate vet here on the island of Hawaii. First things first, before you even go to the
sales office, give me a call, give me a text, give me an email. My information is down in the
description below. If you get me involved at the very beginning, I can help you get this and get
exactly what it is that you're looking for on these homes in Nanakai. They do a great job.
This is going to be our largest one today. We got a two-floor plan. There you go. And then we also
have a guest suite up above our two-car garage. My understanding is on just about all these,
if you have a two-car detached garage, you can add a guest suite above them. They do have it
on quite a few of these models. We're in, I said it was number three, which is, I'm trying to
remember the name of this one. I think they have it on the side, do they? Yeah, let me walk over
here real quick. This is the Alani floor plan. So we have a standing seam, double pitch metal roof
with this really old school look, kind of with the, when I say old school, like classic Hawaiian
plantation homes would have a full wraparound lanai, upper floor and lower floor. That's not
a full wraparound lanai, but it has that look when you have the approach. So it's really good.
Board and batten, and again, 10-foot ceilings throughout on all these. We've got secondary
color tone with these shutters. Let me come over here. So it's kind of a light gray, I'm sorry,
light tan. Some cameras are going to pop that as a yellow and then a slight light green on there.
Really well done. Staircase going up to our guest suite. We'll get to that towards the end.
Large tile. They're using a lot of large format tile on this project, and I think that's a smart
choice. Well done. I'm going to walk straight inside on this. Again, with our Sapele doors,
you've seen that. If you've seen our first two, you've seen this before,
but you haven't seen this before. Completely different look in here. I do have to applaud
how each of the five of these is different. So over here, we have our utility off to the side,
quartz countertops, even on our utility. I'm not sure of the wood on this, but they are still
the Belmont cabinets, dovetail joints, soft close. Has sort of a white oak finish. I don't know if
it's quite white oak, but it has a little bit of that look. Washer and dryer, plenty of space in
here. 42-inch uppers, 10-foot ceilings. And let's see if I can get this light on. There we go. Oh,
I see. So the light kicks on the fan, which is a little bit loud, so that's why they had it off,
but a really nice... That fan just happens to announce itself. Really nice tile backsplash
that we have right here. Looks good in our powder room, half bath of the vessel sink,
floating cabinet with the light underneath. Really well done black fixtures on here. You can see it
up there on our light as well. We have a linen or coat closet, whatever you want to call it,
right here. Oh, wow. More than that. Looks like they got some... They'll patch that up, I'm sure,
but storage under there. That is great. Of course, it's storage under there. We got our staircase to
go up. So this is the first one that uses multiple floors and also has a step-down entry. One, two
steps to our main living area. A full wood overlay on that wall. They've got some wood cladding on
beams. I don't know if there's any beams in there or not, or if this is just added for look, but
that's kind of what they do when you get these homes that are designed for models. They can
add things like that. You can add that too on yours, whether you do it aftermarket or whatever.
You can do that on yours. I don't know that they'll do it for you on a new one. If you want
that, you probably have to buy this unit. This is the first one that had a fully standalone dining
area, and it's significant. These are big chairs that we got here. We have a table with eight chairs.
Lots of space. You can even fit a bigger table in here. Four foot by two foot tile.
Well done. Black windows. Big tall windows. I mean, those things are like 20 inches off the ground
to eight foot tall. Those are big windows. Really nice job on that. Fabric accent on this back wall.
Beautiful light sconce. Good job on these. It's called that a sconce. What are we talking about?
It's like a, I guess, technically a chandelier that hangs down like that. Not quite a pendant.
Hey, what's the difference? Okay, someone out there is going to help me out. I learned from you guys
too. What's the difference between a chandelier and a pendant? Is it just size? Because I would
say that's technically a chandelier, and these are pendants. Neither are sconces though.
On the first floor plan, we saw this as well, where we had the pantry built into the side
with the same wood that we used in the kitchen. Looks really good with our pullout drawers.
Boy, you can totally customize that to whatever you need. Good job on that. This side as well.
Yeah, very, very well done. Lots of storage in here. So there's not like a dedicated pantry room,
but that's your pantry, and it works really good. We got this honed, I guess this angle's got it
right there, this honed look here on our quartz countertops. Really nice. I like it has that
little bit of texture in there. Feels great. This is a gray, darker gray, accenting off with our
mostly white quartz countertops on the back here. Now this one, the other two were Thermador. This
is a GE Monogram. Oh wow, look at that. That's fancy. Nice. The tile backsplash, they consistently
are adding the tile backsplash up all the way through and above the vent. Good job on that. Nice
attention to detail. Again, a lot of times people will stop right there and sheetrock that. You can
do that. That's fine. I'm not knocking you if you do it. But if you can do the extra, it just has a
more clean look. Plenty of cabinet space down here. Big drawers, deep drawers. This is another one of
those where holds all your knives and stuff in these little slots because there's these little
plastic rod things you stick in there. Things are getting pretty cool these days. More big drawers
down here. So much space. We got our dishwasher here. It's saying to me, GE Monogram. It's not
saying it to me this time. Okay. Good job here underneath. Again, we're starting to see this
stuff, guys. You guys have seen me talk about this lately. That's getting pretty consistent on a lot
of our cabinets. Just preparing yourself for if anything does leak, that you have something that's
going to not have to be replaced right away. Got a slightly smaller refrigerator than we had in our
other units. At least our second unit. Second unit was absolutely huge if I remember correctly.
This is a side-by-side. Yeah. The other two had French door refrigerator and two drawers
for a freezer and crisper. Another thing that's different about this unit
is that the bedroom is on that side and there is no bedroom on this side in our main living area.
And I think that might be our only bedroom down here if I remember right. Yeah. And then
the other bedrooms are upstairs. So you have one primary down here and a couple more bedrooms
I think it's two or three more upstairs plus that guest suite above the garage. Doors are removed
for showings but for tours but you would have a door there of course. Pretty good size closet.
Decent amount of space on that. Single panel door. I'm a big fan that they've used that
consistently from what I've seen. Not sure if that's standard in spec or not. I remember this
one now. This is probably my favorite primary. We got two more to see after this. Stick with me
for all five of them guys. We're going to be releasing them over the next few weeks.
But this might be my favorite primary. I'll be able to show you why here shortly.
King-size bed. Plenty of space. Got four and a half feet or so on either side.
Really good job on this furniture. I mean those are big for nightstands.
Got this piece over here. Good job here as well. We got our bathroom. Our bathroom is a little
smaller than we've seen in the other ones. Interesting because there's a single base in here.
I'm trying to remember. Maybe we have something bigger upstairs. We'll get to it. We'll figure
that out. Black fixtures in here. We keep with this white wash, white oak look. Good job here.
A slightly different quartz than we had in the kitchen I believe. This has a little bit more
gray in it. A nice matte finish on that. 12 by 24 tile down below. Pebble bottom. Tile all the way
up to the ceiling. Stainless steel. It does match the Schluter. I should point that out because you
guys have heard me mention it a few times. But this is really cool. Having this room
in your primary is a game changer. I'm gonna take in this. I've been on my feet for a little
while here guys taking videos for y'all. I love doing it. Hard work. You can set a TV on that
wall. You can make this an office space, a library, a study, an exercise room. If you have
an infant you can make this a nursery right next door until someone would get their own room. You
have a lot of flexibility here. I like the wine fridge there. Really cool setup. I put me a little
coffee station right there. Wake up in the morning, come here, relax. You will have in this particular
unit, it's probably locked, access straight out here. Really cool. Nice place for mornings.
I like what they've done here. So I really like having this extra room not accessible to anyone.
It's just part of your primary suite. Really love it. They've done a good, good job with these.
We'll get back to the exterior here in a minute. We're going to head upstairs. This might be one
of the, this is probably going to be our longest tour I'm guessing of our three that we've done
so far. I think the next to one of those is really large as well. Okay. Wow. Okay. Yeah.
It's been a while since I've been in here. I've seen these a few times.
So I'm remembering things. One, you have a really big landing area. Again, if this was a family
home and you had a few kids, you could have a little TV station here. You could have a desk
station here. You have a lot of options. Check out that wallpaper on this bedroom. I am loving it.
What do you think? Do you like it? I know it's unique, but it looks cool by not having a lot
of color on it. It's just, it's not in your face. Really nice job. I want to point out something
very important. We got 10 foot ceilings here upstairs. That is super rare guys. You know,
a lot of times you can get 10 foot ceilings. Well, not a lot of times, but sometimes you can
get 10 foot ceilings, but then when they add a second story, you'll get like nine foot and nine
foot or nine foot and eight foot. We still got 10 and 10 in here. It's possible that's nine,
but I think that's 10 foot. We have a Jack and Jill bathroom. I'm a fan. Privacy door here in
place for the toilet and the shower. And we have a door here for this bathroom, for this bedroom,
single base and sink, black fixtures door here for this bedroom as well. I think I would have
maybe wanted a pocket door on this one. If I'm getting picky just for the amount of space that
you have there, I think that would, that would work pretty well. And then we have a really cool
wallpaper on this one. So both these bedrooms here have really cool wallpapers. This is a little bit,
a little bit more to it. I get it, but I still like it. You know,
if you like it for a few years and great, and if you want to change it after a few years,
cool, do that. It looks like we got a queen size bed. It could be a full,
but I think that's a queen size bed. You could easily fit a full size king in here,
windows in the corners, bringing in lots of light. You can see the mountain looks good.
Even more ocean view out here, closet over here. So we got one bedroom downstairs. We just had two
bedrooms in here. So we're up to three. And then we come in here, another, basically another
primary. This is the biggest bedroom, king size bed with lots of space, three wonderful windows,
giving you great views outside to the ocean, large closet on the far side over there. I haven't put
myself in the mirror. Here I am. This is one of my Ironman shirts, guys. Ironman's about what,
five, six months away now. Hey, we're looking for volunteers for Ironman World Championships.
You guys let me know. We can get you signed up on the site. You can join me at the finish line.
In case you don't know, I'm the finish line director for the Ironman World Championship.
We have about 450, 500 volunteers every year helping us at the finish line. Back to the house.
So I guess this is sort of, this could also be your primary because we have dual sinks here,
floating cabinet again with our light underneath. I always am a fan of these mirrors with the light
going around and light from above. Really great. Well done. Black fixtures on here.
I do like this vertical, shiny, glossy gray tile. Looks wonderful. And then,
boy, that's like an 18 inch by one inch tile. That's wild. Never even seen that.
Looks great. High ceilings in here as well. The tile goes all the way up to the top,
not just of an eight foot, but of a nine or 10 foot ceiling. Schluter all the way around
everywhere that you should have it. Really well done. Zero threshold entry there into our shower.
My goodness. So this is a four, one, two, three, four bedroom home. Oh, I guess I should check out
this for you. Put this Lenai in the view. Boy, it is just, it is so green. Now, full disclosure,
it's not always going to be this green. So you just, you got to know that. We still got a model
over there and another model over there. We still got to get inside our guest room here, bringing
us up to five bedrooms on this one. Let's head downstairs. Looks like someone's about to come in.
So I'm going to head outside before they come in and then we'll pick it up out front and jump
upstairs to that one. But I do want to show you what we have down here. The next one I'm going
to show you guys next week has, I think a full pool if I remember in the backyard. So you'll
like that one. Huge covered Lenai again. Oh my goodness. Absolutely massive amount of space.
High ceilings, wide, deep, absolutely outstanding. Long row of steps going all the way down. One,
two, three, four, to this large area with this, I don't even think it's stained concrete. I think
it's dyed. It could be stained. We'll call it stained just to be safe. Concrete with a lot of
great texture in it. This accent wall going around, it looks really good with the Scardinia,
right? Smells so good. There's our basalt tile on that. Wonderful green grass. Another basalt tile
wall. Our view rail system just disappears. And then an outdoor grill with a bar set up, like
plenty of places to sit here and eat. Totally covered. This Coyote brand they're using is really
cool. I'm still impressed with the pizza oven that they had at the other one. This stuff's brand
new. These models are pretty nice, guys. I think they've done a great, great job out here. Show
that ocean view. You're not going to have ocean views on all of these. So if this is really
important to you, you might want to get in on one of these front row units, guys. There are things
you can change and things you can't. You can't make a view if there's not one there. Let's go
out front and check out that guest suite, and then we'll finish up this video. Okay, back out
front. We're going to check out the guest suite, which is really cool. You're going to want to see
that. So stay tuned. But just want to point out real quick, just the great job they did down here.
This is wonderful. I know it's a little bit more maintenance. You just run the mower over it. It'll
be fine. I think it looks really cool. Better than just a big concrete pad. So nice attention
to detail on that. I love that we have three Pumeria trees here. I think this is the Singapore,
if I remember right, Pumeria. Nice and fragrant. It's a little bit more full and lush
than the other kind. So I really like that they've done that here. When you get these
models, you've already got some great landscaping in here. Now, I think they're adding landscaping
to the spec models, which don't have landscaping right now, but I think they're going to add that
in. Let me tell you guys, that's one of the reasons you want to talk to me first is because
I get the lowdown on everything, all the incentives that they're willing to do,
and I can make sure that you get them. If you just walk in with your mouth agape,
listen, they're here to sell the unit to you. They're going to do it, but my goal is to get
you as much as possible. Okay. Really cool suite here. There are a lot of things you can do with
this space. If you want to use it like this, excuse me, by all means, go ahead. You got a
bedroom here, basically. You got a living space over there. I mean, this big piece here is cool.
It kind of divides it up so you can see it being used in this way. You got a closet.
You even got a lanai over here to look over. I mean, absolutely outstanding. You got your little,
call it a kitchenette sort of station. There's no cooking services there for county codes,
not to say someone wouldn't add a microwave or something later.
Nice backsplash on there with the exact courts that we have all the way across. And then
as an accent, and look at these lights, just really impressed with a lot of the choices that
they've made. No one's going to like everything that someone does, but boy, they've done a really
good job here. Floating cabinets again, bathroom in here, full bathroom. So you could literally
stay in here. You could also just change this into a killer TV room, entertainment room,
man cave, she shed, bring your pool table in here if you want to do that. Sure. It's kind of a bit
of a waste of space, but you can make this a really cool movie room. There are so many things
you can do with this space. And because you have four other bedrooms, I mean, unless you've got a
really, really big family, you can be super flexible with this space. So, you know, on,
I think on almost all of these, if not all of these, you can get, if you buy something before
it's built and you want to design it, they'll work with you on that. We can help you do that,
but you can get these suites on all the bedroom or on all the detached garages,
or just pick out the floor plans that offer it. And you are, you are set. So there's some cool
things that you can do here. Beautiful day up in Waikoloa. People love it here. And Waikoloa
is growing guys. A lot of things already here. Things are coming close to the resorts and the
beaches and the Gulf. It's much drier than the rest of the island. A lot of people like that.
My three favorite things. One thing I would change, our favorite thing. Number one, I do like
that we have this guest suite. I think that's a game changer for me. If I'm getting any of these
units, I'm going to get the guest suite, no matter what, whether I want to be able to use it as a
full guest suite or, or who knows what, or like I was saying, as a TV room, that flexibility of
ownership is absolutely something that I love having. And it also makes your home more appealing
on down the road for someone else who comes and buys something that they have flexibility too.
They might have needs that are completely different from yours, but they have the ability
to do it because of that. Favorite thing. Number two, I know we had kind of a dual primary situation
just because this bathroom wasn't as, as mac daddy as the rest of them, but favorite thing.
Number two is still going to be this primary suite. Having this separate room over here
that is just for the primary, just for the owner's retreat is really cool. There's so many things
you can do with this space. Again, flexibility of ownership, make it your own little TV room,
make it your private office, make it an exercise room. If that's what you want to do.
Super, super cool. Favorite number three on this one, just because it's different from the other
two, I'm going to call that you have this separate dining space. So if you want to have that,
you can, and you can make this something totally different too. Like, let me be clear. This room
is big enough that you could put a dining room table right across here. If you wanted to bring
an electrician in, drop down a light and you're set and still have this living room that we're
kind of off centered a little bit with this furniture. It's centered in a room, but maybe
off of the TV, you can slide this down and lose those two chairs, push it in, have plenty of space
here for a dining room table. And if you want to make this a bar setup, like a really cool
bar entertainment area, you could do that too. Again, you have a lot of options in this one.
It's my favorite floor plan so far, but we got two more. The first one was my favorite floor plan.
And then the second one was probably my favorite floor plan. The third one's definitely my favorite
floor plan. And I'm wondering what happens with number four and number five. I got more videos
for you in the corner. Stay with me. I'll see you again next week. We check out number four.
