Step inside a 1770 center-hall Georgian Colonial in East Berlin, Pennsylvania — one of the most authentically preserved homes we have ever photographed. Andrea and Stan Hollenbaugh spent over 40 years restoring and filling this house with an extraordinary collection of American antiques, folk art, and early decorative pieces.

We photographed this home twice — once for Old House Journal, where the story was the architecture, and once for Country Sampler, where the story was the collections and the color. You'll see both visits here.

From the hand-stenciled kitchen walls to the open hearth packed with iron cookware, from the corner fireplace in the dining room to the painted tulip door, every room tells a story. This is what it looks like when a house is truly lived in.
