Elon Musk just declared this after first Starship's V3 Launch debut ""SCRUB""...
All right, it is sounding like we are not going to be able to clear this issue in time today. So, we are going to be standing down from a launch.”
SpaceX officially scrubbed Starship Flight 12 yesterday after a serious issue appeared during the final moments of the countdown.
But unlike some previous scrubs where everyone spent hours playing detective on social media, this time Elon Musk jumped onto X almost immediately and explained exactly what went wrong.
He even shared the new launch schedule.
So let’s break down the entire situation, because there is actually a lot to unpack here.

Somehow, the biggest obstacle to launching the most powerful rocket ever built turned out to be… one stubborn hydraulic pin.
Spaceflight is beautiful like that.
One moment humanity is preparing to become an interplanetary species.
The next moment engineers are staring angrily at a stuck metal cylinder the size of a thermos.
The sky over Boca Chica yesterday afternoon looked almost unreal.
Clear blue skies stretched across South Texas while golden sunlight reflected off the stainless-steel surface of Starship like somebody had turned the saturation settings all the way up.
Conditions looked nearly perfect for launch.
At least visually.
But despite the gorgeous weather, SpaceX pushed the launch window twice.
First from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Then again from 6:00 to 6:30.
At the time, nobody outside the company knew exactly why.
Maybe additional systems checks were underway.
Maybe engineers wanted more time to verify hardware performance.
Or maybe someone just wanted the cinematic lighting to be absolutely flawless for the livestream thumbnails.
Because let’s be honest.
Starship does not just look like a rocket anymore.
It looks like science fiction wandered into real life and started violating several building codes.

And what SpaceX was preparing to launch yesterday was not simply another prototype.
This was the first launch attempt for Starship Version 3.
A vehicle designed to move the program closer toward actual operational capability.
Bigger performance.
Faster fueling.
Higher cadence.
Improved systems.
And eventually, full reusability.
In other words, this was a very important flight.
The countdown officially began at the T-minus one-hour mark.
Flight Director Ty Huntington, the same man who oversaw both Flight 1 and Flight 11, conducted the final readiness poll.
Vehicle health.
Weather conditions.
Sea safety zones.
All systems were reviewed and ultimately cleared for launch.
Then the launch site came alive.
Massive white clouds began billowing around the tower and tank farm as chill-down operations started.
This process cools the pipes and valves before the supercold propellant begins flowing through them.
