Detours, road closures, lost power, 50 MPH winds, deep ditches and desert. It's a Thousand Trails campground that is 4x4 worthy! Do we need Matt's Off Road Recovery? Where are we going and will we make it? Well, of course we'll make it (and no tow truck is needed) but it's a road trip so you expect all sorts of conditions on the road. Our HDT and Spacecraft trailer can handle the winds but what about rail road tracks? West Texas has oil and it's busy...but campgrounds too? Heck yeah! We are not Snow Birds but we do like nice warm weather and heading west is the best. We are going to do this trip a little differently by staying at a Harvest Host right on the Mexico USA border. The Wall is in our "backyard". Oh my! Quartzsite is all about boondocking in the desert and a great place for an RV to winter.
