Hello everyone! Welcome back to my channel or welcome if you are new here. My name is Karla
Elisa or Kelly and in today's video I'm going to be decorating my entryway for the spring season.
Spring has officially started and with it comes that fresh, light and airy feeling that I always
love bringing into my home. I'll be starting with a clean slate. I've removed any previous decor
and the last piece I wanted to remove before decorating is this lamp. It's beautiful but
I would like to place it somewhere else for now and I'm bringing in a new table lamp to evoke
that soft coastal style I love for this season. Next I'm going to start with a quick spring clean
to refresh this area. I always love beginning with a soft floral spring-like scent. It instantly puts
me in the mood and makes the whole process feel so much more inspiring. And this little heart is
for all of you who are always watching and interacting in this community. Thank you so much
for being here. The first thing that I wanted to bring to this table is this beautiful new lamp I
found at the wafer. I took advantage of the way they deal and the best part of this lamp is this
gorgeous natural retained shade in an emperor style. It's absolutely stunning and adds that
perfect warm organic touch and coastal-like style I love for this time of the year. And next I'm
bringing in this terracotta tulle vase. I wanted this one to style these very long blossom branches
I ordered from a floral. I used a total of three branches which is just enough to give a soft and
relaxed floral arrangement. I intentionally chose these branches they tie in so beautifully with the
rustic white base of my new lamp creating a cohesive and balanced look throughout the space.
I also wanted to give this arrangement a bit more movement so I bent the branches to create that
soft natural shape. It helps them feel less structured and straight the more like something
that you will find outdoors.
Moving on to setting up this table lamp I just need to plug it in and add the light bulb. For my
table lamps I usually like to use 40 to 60 wattage depending of the place in my home and I prefer a
maximum of 3k 500 kelvins. It gives off that soft warm light that feels so cozy and inviting without
being too harsh so see me for happy it's perfect for that calm relaxed atmosphere I love in my
home and I love how the light is diffused through this beautiful rattan woven shade it's creating a
very beautiful relaxed coastal and warm ambience. The base of this lamp it's so beautiful it has
that soft rustic white finish full of texture that feels almost like plaster. Next I grounded
the space and I added this glass vases I got from at home which I'm actually using as a hurricanes
but these are also perfect to add some flottles in water. I got this rivet scented candles from
amazon they have such a delicious scent and add the perfect cozy touch to space.
And next I brought back this picture frame with a linen like frame I found at home goods last year
and I used it for my christmas decor wall art but this time I wanted to switch it up by adding
a new artwork I found on etsy it's this european village inspired print I like these european
inspired villages with nature what I especially love about this piece is the touch of nature and
in particular that tree with the soft little blooms it feels so perfect for spring subtle romantic and
very aligned with that mediterranean inspired look I'm creating.
And next I'm adding a photo of my husband and I from one of our trips to Nevada
I placed it in this beautiful picture frame I found at marshall's and I love how it brings
in a soft pop of color with that sage green tone perfect for the season. I also added the matches
and a trinket dish to place my rings the next thing I wanted to do for this space was swap out
the knobs that this table originally came with there wasn't anything wrong with them I just
wanted something that felt more aligned with my style and black is not much that what I like on
things like hardware so I picked up these beautiful knobs with backplates from amazon
in a champagne bronze finish I've always loved the champagne bronze it has that soft
warm tone that feels elegant without being too shiny it's actually the same finish gold I'm
planning to use for my new kitchen yearly so this helps to create a cohesive look throughout my home
look how gorgeous the gold stands out against the dark brown wood tone
ah that's what I love that's my style black is fine but gold makes the table feel softer
and elegant now the brown looks so much better I love how the backplate add that extra detail
that makes these knobs look collected and elevated the next piece I wanted to swap out to refresh
this space is the runner after doing some research beyond the usual alloy racks I came across this
brand and completely fell in love with the design and colors of this beautiful alloy rack the color
is sand earth and it features a mix of earthy tones of browns beige soft muted yellows and
green which makes it perfect not just for spring but for the seasons ahead as well I don't know if
I am the only one craving for more pops of color throughout the house but of course keeping always
the earthy tones I love so much craving for that mix of colors actually I chose the sage green
picture frame with this rack in mind just to tie everything together it's super soft medium pile
thin but still very comfortable to walk on love it is my new go-to for aero racks and the last
touch in this area is adding this throw blanket featuring a floral pattern design I got early
at target from the studio magie spring collection
now the next step is styling our office room if you have been watching since the beginning of the
year you may have seen me gradually swapping out the old curtains on my main floor for this stunning
ones from two pages every afternoon the sun hits this side of the house so I really needed something
that will help soften the light not only are these curtains beautiful and stylish but I also love
the weight and thickness they have they do such a great job of filtering the sunlight blocking just
enough while still letting in a soft natural glow that keeps the room feeling fresh and bright
I chose the beige white color again which works perfectly with my palette
and keeps everything feeling light warm and cohesive throughout the space
and now I'm bringing back my floor lamp this thing is heavy it feels very substantial I got
it from wafer last year for my office makeover but this time I wanted to keep it on this side
of the desk to better balance the layout if you remember I moved the action shirt that used to be
in this corner to my living room so now I'm bringing in one of my olive trees to fill this
corner and avoid leaving it empty an olive tree is always such a beautiful way to fill a space
it adds height softness and that natural organic feel I love this was the tree I used last year
to decorate my dining area so I got a new faux olive tree much taller and fuller I searched
from etsy and it's been a splurge but I've been eyeing and kept in my shopping cart for a long
time and I finally decided to pull the trigger to style it in my living room for this season
the next thing I wanted to switch out to refresh this area is the desk shirt I decided to try this
action shirt that I've also been using in my dining area to bring in a more light and airy feel
and you want to be honest I absolutely love it in my dining space but not as much for my desk
for working I really need something with a taller back so for now this is a temporary solution but
I'll definitely be on the lookout for a new shirt adding a throw blanket for a cozy layer
and I will be keeping that side of the desk very simple since I moved the action shirt that we had
in our office room to the living room I'm bringing the ornaments that we were using in our living
room to have an extra sitting here in our office space next I'm moving on to my accent chest in
this office room I wanted to quickly wipe down to refresh it I have had it very empty lately and the
first piece I wanted to add is this wall art I picked up from Hobby Lobby at the very beginning
of the year I actually bought it with my spring and summer decor in mind to hang it I'm using 3M
command strips again I'm constantly swapping out the wall art and playing with different sizes
around so I didn't want to keep making holes in the wall everywhere these have been so convenient
they are easy to use hold really well and best of all they are damage free I wanted to bring in
this real baby's breath arrangement this actually came from a floral bouquet my husband gave me for
my birthday actually he wanted to preserve them so he placed them in this vase with water and I'm
honoring that by incorporating them into this space I also brought in these linen boxes I found
at home goods and they match so beautifully with the soft creamy tones of the baby's breath
I'm adding the scented candle the scent is just fantastic a pure spring delicious aroma I found
this beautiful twisted wood frame at Marshall's that fits so well with my style and light woods
that I like to incorporate during this light and early season inside I added a printed wall art
featuring white roses and for a little creative touch I placed a rose as if one of the blooms
came out of the artwork and here's how everything came together I really love how this space now
feels so refreshed for the season light airy and full of those soft romantic touches
soft lighting I'm always drawn to from the woven textures and natural materials to the
delicate florals and warm wood tones everything works together to create that organic collected
feel I love for spring and also for the summer season there's a balance between beauty and
functionality in the space which makes it feel not only styled but truly lifting and welcoming
every little detail from the soft lighting to the personal pieces like the photo of my husband and I
adds to that inviting and actual lifting and homey look but also that calm and inviting atmosphere
I hope this gave you a little inspiration to refresh your own spaces for the season using
pieces you love and that feel true to your style thank you so much for being here and spending this
time with me I truly appreciate each and every one of you see you in my next video
