Building Tree Towers & Spiral Houses: The Story of SAMLAND (full documentary)

#homedecor #design #architecture #constructionmaterials

An artist presents his living architectural wonderland on Little Cranberry Island, Maine. Sam's structures act as physical manifestations of his loved ones, but really, "they're just an excuse to make more stuff." Sam invites the audience into his vibrant world of locally-sourced architecture, legendary local gatherings, and the harnessing of grief into creation.

From filmmaker Grace B. Poppe, SAMLAND is now streaming on the GBH YouTube channel.

At GBH, we love having the opportunity to highlight the people in our own community. This fall we’re putting an even bigger spotlight on the stories closest to home through GBH Local Lens. Tune into GBH-2 Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET for films and documentaries from right in our own backyard! Learn more here: https://www.wgbh.org/tv-shows/series/...
