Modeling Route 66 | On18 Thunderbird Mini Layout

Racing toward the finish line on the On18 Thunderbird mini-layout, it's time to tackle some very important aspects of the project - like Route 66 itself! In this episode I model a small stretch of this iconic American highway as it would have been in its heyday of the mid 1950's. Along the way, I also finish up the layout fascia, the parking lot, and build Thunderbird's roadside billboard. Then it's details, details, and more details!
Thunderbird is a 1950's, roadside attraction themed mini layout that I'm working on in collaboration with Gary Beatty and other modeling friends and we hope to have the whole thing finished by the end of April, 2026.
