The Village House by Studio MK27 is a large countryside residence in Porto Feliz, Brazil, designed as a series of interconnected stone volumes arranged beneath a continuous canopy. Rather than functioning as a single unified structure, the house is conceived as a small “village,” where narrow pathways, courtyards, and open spaces encourage movement and exploration. The architecture carefully balances solid and void, using natural light, thick masonry walls, and warm wood interiors to create a sequence of spatial experiences that shift between openness and intimacy, ultimately blending contemporary design with a strong sense of place and rural character.
