Modern European Spring Living Room Refresh + Bellamia Sectional Unboxing.

Hey guys, thanks so much for tuning in this week to this Georgia Clay. So in this week's vlog, things have changed. You guys can see around me, I have a new collaboration with my friends at Bellamia Collections and I'm super excited as this area in our living room area is getting a revamp. So when we first got our other sofa, I always knew that it was something that I wanted that look in terms of the cloud or should I say, I thought I wanted to look as a cloud sofa. But the more that my style has evolved in the last year of our home, which is so crazy, that next month will be a year that we've been in our home, that I want more of a traditional structure style in our home. And again, going with that modern European aesthetic, a lot of inspiration that I've seen really lean towards cozy colors, neutrals, soft tones, velvets, textures, things of that nature. So when they reached out to me and wanted to partner again within my space here, I definitely was on board. The other sofa, don't worry. I know some people probably wonder what happens when you do a new collaboration in your other furniture, what happens to that? Well, my daughter is going to be moving out in the next couple of months as she is going next month to be trained for flight attendant with Frontier Airlines. So say congratulations to Naya. I'm so proud of her. That's always been her dream job. And so she landed that and so she's going to be doing that. And when she comes back from training, she's going to be moving into her first apartment. So mama is going to and daddy are going to gift her some of the things that we have that are definitely lightly used in our home for her apartment and then gifting her some new things as well. So it's going to a new loving home, this with our daughter. So let's go ahead and unbox things. As you guys can see, my house is looking in this way with all of these boxes, there's a total of eight of them. So I definitely want to get things out of here and cleaned back up. So let's go ahead and get ready to start this off. All right, so we already opened up one box just to get a sneak peek of the color. I went back and forth with the color tone. I was so hesitant. I was like, maybe I want chocolate in this space. But as you guys can see, sneak peek, I have some new bar stools that I'm going to share with you guys. But I was like, you know what, I don't think the brown is going to go in here. I feel like if I had a huge brown sofa in here, it definitely would change the whole aesthetic of the space and look very just dark and not that comfy cozy vibe that I was going for. So I went with the color caramel velvet and I absolutely love it. It is all boxed up and everything but I'm going to go ahead and continue to unbox the sofa, put it together. It is a corner L sectional so it's a little bit larger than what we had before. But I definitely feel like we just need more space in here. Another thing or more seating in this space. Another thing as well, we weren't utilizing this area here. And I definitely wanted to utilize the space against this window. I feel like we need to maximize as much space as we have. Because my living room area, it's nice, but it's not an oversized living room space. So I definitely wanted to capitalize on all the square footage in this area. And there goes Teddy, he got a haircut guys. And I haven't shown him because when he first got his haircut, I hated it. We'll he can see so I guess it's great for him. But like I said, let's go ahead and unbox everything. Let me stop talking and put in some nice music and let's get this couch together. I was super excited to partner with the Bella Mia collections and I decided to go with the Bella Corner sectional this time around. I wanted to have some more, just a formal look in this area. And I wanted to capitalize the square footage within this space. I felt like the other sofa just really didn't do it for me. But if you are interested in the look, then go ahead and scan the QR code now. But let's go ahead and unbox this beautiful sofa. One thing I love about modular sofas is that you could always change the configuration if it just doesn't work for your house. So we decided to go ahead and move the couch further apart and move this middle piece that was going to extend the L portion of the corner sectional and make it a little bit longer for our family. That way we didn't take away from the entrance into our bedroom and excuse me for limping at that time. I don't know what I had did to my ankle or something like that, but it just amazes me to look back and see I really have been losing weight. So I'm looking back at that like, wow, it's just, it's made a difference. Anyhow. So with having the configuration of that modular unit, it allows you to switch it up. If something just doesn't work for you, you could always add additional pieces. If you needed it to be longer, the options are endless. All right, guys. So as you saw, we have the configuration of the sofa a little bit different. The idea was to have this piece extend further than it currently is now, but that's the joy of having a modular sofa that you're able to change variations and change up your essentially your look in your living room or space at any time. So we decided to go ahead and go with this configuration. It is a bit long here. However, it allows for more viewing spaces or more people to view the TV without necessarily having to, you know, cock your head to the side, because when this piece or the other piece in this, this one got extended a little bit further, it did make the viewing a little bit different there. That's what Matt had said that it wasn't ideal. However, I do like it now in terms of how the sofa sits in our area. We are planning on changing out the rug. It just we haven't chosen one as of yet. So we are working on that. However, I do need to get some more pillows and throw pillows and things like that. I just took these two pillows that were on my bench that I have in front of our stairs just to set the tone in terms of what I want in this area. But the thing that I'm considering is to get a darker chocolate pillow and then like a nice cream pillow. And I think that would be nice to have pillows like that in that color because also helps with the current tones that we have in our home. So behind the camera is a black cabinet that faces or that's next to the fireplace. And then as of right now, we do have this black round table. With having this configuration here, Matt and I both have decided that round doesn't necessarily work with this configuration any longer. So we will be on the lookout for a rectangular table. There is one at Pottery Barn that I really do love. So maybe, hopefully, Matt will sponsor that purchase. And like I said, the couch definitely goes with the aesthetic now, especially with my new bar stools that I have here that I will go over in a future vlog. I do have some shades in the kitchen now in morning room, and they match the same kind of color scheme, color tone of the sofa. Again, this is the Caramel Velvet by Bellamiyah Collections. I absolutely love it. I think it's beautiful. Like I said, just some additional things need to change out in this space to give it that chef's kiss that I'm looking for, but we are definitely in the right track for it. Just getting more throw blankets and pillows and all of the things to make it just feel that much more cozier. I also wanted to mention, like, as I'm sitting on the couch and I'm looking around, I'm like, everything looks so good. I feel like when we first bought the home, I had a certain vision in mind in terms of what I wanted, like I said, a cloud sofa and things. But I feel like I finally found my niche in terms of how I want my home to look and feel. Just that cozy, lived-in feeling and aesthetic as well. So having this color scheme now, I think it's absolutely gorgeous. It just fits everything so perfect. So now I'm just on the hunt, looking on Amazon, because I do love a good pillow cover. And I like this look as well, but I feel like it's just too tone on tone. And I kind of just wanted to have some kind of contrast as well, since everything is kind of like within the same color scheme. I do plan on changing out these chairs here, but that's for future vlogs. But as of right now, the next search is, like I said, pillow covers and then inserts. These are down feather inserts. I do love them because they get that aesthetic, so I can have that good chop. And then they just feel like really firm and full. So I do plan on getting some more of those. I think I also want some larger size, so probably do 22-inch ones, kind of similar to the size that I have downstairs in our basement, because I kind of like them to be a little further or higher than the back cushion of the sofa. I just feel like it just gives it more of a lived-in and cozier feel. And so I plan on doing that. And then, like I said, for the rug. Now, my ideal is, you see that rug there? I am getting rid of that robot right there. But anyways, but the rug there in the dining room, I think will match more so with this color here. I don't know why when we first purchased the home, did I feel like gray went in this area? I don't know. Maybe it's because of that sofa. But then again, that sofa really didn't go with it either. I don't know. Anyways, so I plan on ordering another one of those. I do have one upstairs in our loft and in our bedroom, and I feel like if it isn't broken, then why not go with it? So I'm going to go ahead and purchase another one of them. I do like that they're also washable as well. And it goes with just the look and feel of this particular space. So I'll order one of those. And I can't wait to decorate this space for Christmas and all of the things. All right, guys, so I've had my Bella Mia Bella collection for about three weeks now, and I always love to have a product in my home first before I give like an honest, true review of products. And of course, a lot of you guys know that I do have the same sofa, just in a different configuration down in my basement and also different color as well. And that's the Bella Mia Grand Pit. And I absolutely love it. We've been using it for movie nights and all of the things, and it has been a pleasure to have in our home. In terms of this sofa, yesterday actually was the first night that we all were home. At the same time, we're able to lounge and just enjoy and watch TV and just relax in this area. So it was nice. And now we finally have room for all five of us. Even Leah was laying in this area, and Naya was sitting in all of us and still was room with someone laying out on the actual sofa. So just to tell you like how large this is in this area, we did change the configuration of this sofa because this middle piece here was supposed to go here and extend out. But I mentioned earlier in the vlog that we did want to have some more walking space in terms of because Matt and I, our primary bedroom is over there. And so we wanted to just be able to not necessarily have just one direction in terms of going and exit just in case of an emergency or anything like that. We wanted to make sure that we are free to be able to exit our bedroom in that need. So I want to thank Bella Mia Collections for partnering with me. I absolutely love this particular sofa. I love the color tone. I went back and forth of wanting the chocolate color, which was linen. So different material. This is again, is velvet, but I do love this color. I think that it is, it provides like that warm glow that I wanted in this space. It also compliments my new bar stools as well in terms of the color tone. I do plan on changing the rug out at some point as of right now. I just not have found, I've not found a rug that I love. So I'm going to keep the rug that I have now. I've decided that instead of just buying things just because I want the vlog to look pretty or I want to style things for you guys and make it all, all of the things that I'm going to hold off on that and actually purchase things that I'm going to keep for the long run. So then that way it doesn't have me changing out things periodically. I can just add to it rather than changing out and doing an entirely whole different look. Now the sofa that I had before was great in terms of, it was a work, a workhorse. It accommodated our family, but it was just too small. Like we would be able to sit on here basically in shifts. Now we have this sofa. And again, I'm so grateful to Bellamia because it provides that comfort that we need, the stability. It provides that form that I wanted as well. The other sofa was more of a pillow cushion, um, a pillow style or cloud couch style. And they do offer a pillow cushion. I just provided one at the box cushion because I like that structured look. Um, but for me, it just works because I'm just more of a formal kind of person. And I want my sofa to look nice and neat. And sometimes you stray away from a sectional because you're like, it's going to eventually look sloppy or it's just going to look, you know, disarray. But again, with this one of having that actual option of doing the box collection where it's the box cushion, where it just gives you that formality that you need. And you're craving for it allows you to still incorporate a sectional in your home. So I love it. The structure of it is awesome in terms of the durability as well. It is something that has performance fabric as well. So you don't necessarily have to worry about having pets, family, you know, things like that. It's easy to clean. Um, and I absolutely love just the elegance of it as well. So I'm going to go ahead and style the sofa now and get some throws on it, some, um, pillows on it. As you can see, Teddy absolutely loves it. He jumps up here and spend some time as well, but again, you don't have to worry about it because it is a performance fabric. So all of your fur friends can have fun with you as well and enjoy the sofa. As you can see, these are destroyed the clay tester. So he's been loving it as well. So it is the color is called caramel velvet. Um, I think it goes with our whole color scheme within our home, keeping it a nice, neutral, cozy vibes that we're trying to bring in. I can't wait to hang out and have memories here with my family, friends, and all of the things that this year and from years to come. But I think we're really dialed in, in terms of how we want this home to look and function. And I think it's absolutely gorgeous. All right.
