We do a lot of shipping back home so I can kind of see what I got and see what I need to add to the gift. first item is probably the item i'm the most excited for a new pair of slippers i think a new pair of slippers is such a fun gift to get around the holiday season is by the time the season comes again it's almost like we need a new pair of slippers these are so chic these make me think of a christmas movie i am absolutely obsessed with these they come in a couple different colors i got my regular size in these so they fit true to size but how chic are these to receive for the holidays or picture these in a row in the kitchen cooking around the holidays with a glass of wine so chic i i love these i think that they are so gorgeous but i also love to receive a beautiful new pair of heels or boots like these boots here i have been wanting a square toe boot i just think that they are so elevated around the holiday season i think that all these would make an amazing gift obviously but also if you need a new pair of boots for the holiday season if you're hosting a holiday party these are just absolutely stunning for the holidays but honestly just a capsule wardrobe item but also i love to get and give a pair of shoes for the holidays i also love the square toe these also fit true to size i already tried them on and they are just absolutely gorgeous. I love the thicker heel because it makes them a little bit more comfortable but such a beautiful beautiful boot. A beautiful sweater as a gift is always something I love to give but also how beautiful is this sweater just for the holiday season? I love the detail. I'm super into green right now even for fall. I just love how elevated it looks. The detail on this sweater is just absolutely stunning. I also love the holidays to spoil my loved ones. It is such an incredible mascara. I've shared this with you before actually merits new mascara, but I specifically love this mascara. I'm also wearing it today because it's a tubing mascara, so it doesn't transfer to your eyelids, which I seriously struggle with. But for me, a lover of makeup, I will never complain about my favorite mascara being in my stocking. Oh, this is also in color brown. I like that it gives a little bit of a softer look because I can wear it more every day. Actually, we just did this with Zach recently. we got him a whole discovery set and he tried on a new cologne every day and then ended up picking one in the end and I just love this idea and this concept because it allows you to kind of try them on before committing to a full bottle or even just trying something on when you're out at Kohl's and you spray yourself this allows you to have a little bit more time with it so highly recommend. I think this is, I think this is such an incredible gift. I am super excited. In fact, let me show you kind of how they look. They have a ton of different options on their site. I specifically just wanted to try more KLE scents because I really love their scents. They're just so unique, so different. I think this is the layering set. So you could do, you can layer them and kind of play with the different, you know, notes with your pheromones. But I have been like i said to try this bougie marshmallow because i love marshmallow oh my gosh yeah that it's sweet but it's marshmallowy and i've heard that marshmallow really sticks to the skin like stays around for a while so we'll find out anyway wow yeah that's good oh that's good that's good another practical gift that i love to give and to receive is a new sheet set i feel like everyone loves a sheet set and this sheet set from Kohl's incredible it's a hundred percent cotton if you remember back in the springtime I got this set in the stripe which I love it comes in a couple different colorways but I have been wanting to get the ivory because I feel like I can pair it with all the seasons so that's exactly what I did I got the color ivory that's going to go on my bed right now I'm going to put these in the wash put them on the bed but these are like I said 100% cotton, absolutely stunning and I feel like something like this is such a beautiful gift to get, I feel like the older I get the more practical I want my gifts. Also from Kohl's, these towels, another practical gift that I think any home decor lover would love, love these towels they are incredible, they're not too plush but they're not too thin, they're 100% cotton, incredible highly recommend again if you have a home decor lover or you need some new towels yourself they're incredible and I feel like every home decor lover is always going to love to receive a throw, I love green right now, I just feel like it's just such a calming color to bring into your home, to me green is still a neutral but I think that green pairs so well with so many other colors and it's plaid for fall so I thought this would be so beautiful either on our couch or on our end of our bed or maybe even draped over the headboard, absolutely stunning it is incredibly soft and like I said any home decor lover would love to receive this as a gift thank you again Kohl's for partnering with me on this portion of today's video and all of these items will be linked down below so you can start shopping early for the holidays, okay I'm gonna go these in the wash so we can get them on the bed because today is actually Sunday, I always do fresh sheet Sunday every Sunday but I also want to add a little bit of fall decor to the apartment, I love the ivory for fall, it just kind of softens, usually I have like a stark white on the bed but this gives a little bit more of a softer warmer look and it's just a little bit easier on the eyes so but I am beyond excited for this Ivory set. It's kind of like a capsule home item. I love them. I love these sheets too, because you have enough fabric on the sides to do a full tuck on both sides. Some sheet sets that I've used in the past, they don't go down far enough on the side, but these do. And I especially love that because you can make your bed perfect. Also, I don't know if I mentioned this before, but these sheets are any of decor decorate videos. I really don't have a ton of fall decor and my favorite way to decorate is with fresh florals and fresh produce from the grocery store. I just love the way it feels, especially that we used to live in Oregon and we live in Arizona now. It kind of makes it feel like, I don't know, it's just very nostalgic. I don't know what the right word is. That being said, I have these sunflowers here gonna put in this champagne bucket i usually love a very polished high shine champagne bucket but for fall i thought leaving the tarnish on the bucket kind of gives a little bit of that fall feeling so i'm gonna leave it alone i'm not gonna polish it and i actually really am loving the look for fall another thing that we're gonna do is we're gonna take the petals off of the sunflowers are going to go from this to this, which I just love this look. To me, it's a little bit more refined. I do love sunflowers, but I'm really into this look this year. Basically, all we're going to do is pluck out the petals, the yellow petals, and this is what you get. They almost look like a green sunflower. And like I said, to me, it just gives a little bit more of a refined look that I always love in my home. So how beautiful. I also put this next to our bed in this old vintage silver plated little trophy that I use as a bud vase. And it just, it looks so good. I really, like I said, I love this look. So also love that typically when I have a tarnished piece like this, I like to offset it with something a little bit more delicate. I feel like sunflowers are a bit more hardy and, you know, kind of bold and big. I think it just kind of makes this piece feel like the delicate piece. So anyway, that is what we're going to do. And then I have some other produce that we will add to the kitchen and that's going to be my fall decor. Very simple, but to me it feels like, again, I feel like we went out to the farm, even though i didn't i went to the grocery store and harvested some beautiful pumpkins and flowers and filled the space with them a couple notes about the sunflowers it is tedious however it is so worth the effort especially if you're doing like like a dinner friendsgiving thanksgiving dinner hosting a dinner party i feel like it is worth the effort but i especially love this look with the dark center sunflowers. There are sunflowers with the yellow. I think it looks really, really good with the dark center. Cause it, like I said, it almost looks like it's a green sunflower, but the way I do this is I just take my palm or like my thumb right here and I pull the sunflowers backwards and they just pop off. Now I will say if the, if the sunflowers are starting to be a little bit older, I do find that the petals break very easily and you might have to spend a little more time plucking out the yellow bits if you're particular like me. So that's the only thing about this that is a little, you know, but like I said, I think it's worth the effort. I really love this look, especially with like a silver container. Oh, it's so good to me. again with this with the sunflower being a little bit more hearty and you know a little bit more of that like gritty look I just I think it's phenomenal so anyway I think this is gonna be what I do for Thanksgiving dinner as like our little centerpiece I just I'm so obsessed with this look okay thought I would come in a little closer and show you how I do this I just take my thumb place it on a few petals pull it backwards and then you can see the petals just kind of pop off i just keep pulling until they all kind of pop off and then keep going these are a timeless year-round piece but i really think that they shine during fall because they have that warmth and that gritty and just they reminded me of oregon farms and i think that's kind of why i chose the things that i chose this year because it kind of feels like home and i mentioned this in past videos things like my plaids i save for the fall because i don't really decorate with a lot of patterns saving these pieces like especially if you're a neutral home decor lover like me saving some of these pieces for the fall really kind of makes it feel like that season anyway i pulled out this vintage bowl that i have for some of my acorn squashes now i know that there's some pumpkins i can't remember what the pumpkins are called i want to say they're blackberry could be wrong but the acorn squashes are a little bit less expensive so i feel like they're and they look the same anyway like this year usually i get white pumpkins i am loving the green this year as i mentioned earlier i just there's something about it that feels just very elevated and sophisticated so really into that and then this dough bowl lives on our little media console all year round and i love to fill this with pumpkins around this time of year so that's a do i am taking these acorn squashes even in the living room again to me they just give that fall look and the other thing that is really cool is that they do start to turn the older they get now you do have to watch these of course because they are real and you just I go and check on them every you know every so often just to make sure they're not rotting but other than that I just I love the the true natural element that they bring to our home for the fall and again I'm going to say it again it feels like home so I think that's the the number was the number one reason I am so drawn to them I'm just filling this up all the way and kind of moving things around until I get it where I like it and it's going to go right in the living room I love these in the past I've done white but I'm I'm really loving the green I just think it's it's very different from what I normally do and then I just take a good look at it I move it around to where i want it i have you know the squashes or pumpkin stems going all over so it looks like i just went out into my farm and harvested these also gourds okay i full transparency i've had these on my coffee table for over a week now when i bought these they were the most delicious lush green like this deep green just like the acorn squash they have slowly started to turn and I at first I was like oh should I go get some fresh so that they're the deep green again but then I thought I kind of love that they're turning because again it just reminds me of home it makes it feel like fall I can see the the season changing right in my very own eyes in my living room so I think that's really cool, but I'm loving the gourds, all the different shapes. And I just think that this is such a beautiful way to fill your bowls, like with a little bit of bowl filler. So I am kind of moving them around, but this is what I have. Gorgeous. I put them in a Revere bowl just to offset the more natural gritty. I like that they're a little bit, you know, bubbly. And then you have kind of the fancy again i was thinking if i should polish the bowl and i think i'm really loving the tarnish for fall so i'm just kind of embracing it and i think that's what's so cool about playing with decor is you can decide if you want it that way if you want it this way just it's fun so this is the bowl full of gourds on coffee table loving it i will say i do lean towards how looked originally like in the beginning I was obsessed but I really am embracing and loving them changing for the season I think it's kind of cool for the kitchen I'm taking that bowl like I mentioned this is just some leftover packaging that came in a package for us that I am just reusing in the bowl here and stacking in a few of the acorn squashes in here and then this will be on the kitchen island perfect easy look how gorgeous that is again i am just really drawn to the more sophisticated look and i think these deep greens are just stunning i'm also adding some pears to another wood bowl, the wood bowl is another shade of brown but also i love that these Bartlett pears are another shade of green also we will be using these, we make pear pie every year it's Zach's favorite dessert and i love that i get to have the decor for a little bit and then use the pears in a pie, i think it's a win-win also i love to do this with apples, sometimes i'll put apples on the bar for apple cider margaritas, just whatever is in season, i just kind of like to decorate that way, i feel like it just, it feels like we're in the season especially living in Arizona, we don't get a lot of that, so this to me more so than even when we lived in Oregon I love to do this here because it feels like fall and drape it over office chair originally I was thinking I was going to put this in our bedroom but I thought having it in my office really kind of threads the fall into this room as well and also I really love the idea of having this cozy throw on the back of my office chair so when i'm working at my desk i can grab it and cozy up with it, kind of keep myself warm, i love this texture, it is so soft and just like fall winter is what it feels to me and i think this is the perfect spot for this blanket, all right you guys i hope that you enjoyed today's video and getting the home a little bit more ready for fall, don't forget to check the description where I listed all of the early holiday gift ideas that were in the beginning of the video.
