Hello and welcome to my channel.
Today, I want to talk to you about this bicycle phone mount that I just
picked up from a company called Joyroom.
I previously had a phone mount on my bicycle, but what I did is I upgraded
the case on my phone, much beefier protective case, and unfortunately my
old phone mount did not accommodate the size, so I looked around Amazon.
I actually came across this Joyroom.
I liked the specs.
It was also reviewed highly, and this mount is actually designed for a motorcycle.
So I figured, Hey, if it's good enough for a motorcycle, then it should definitely
be ample enough for my bicycle.
So from the unboxing, there are only a few pieces, pretty easy assembly.
So there is, they'll say the main housing in here, you have the part that
actually affixes to your handlebars.
As you can tell here, it comes with these extra silicone or rubber bands
that you can add to your handlebars, depending on their diameter, ensuring
that you get a very good fit on your handlebars inside, there is also a
little manual here, detailing all of the assembly steps before I go ahead
with the assembly on the actual bicycle.
Just want to show you a little bit more here.
What I do like about it is there are these rubber pieces in here.
That's probably difficult to see from this camera angle, but what it does is
once again, hold your phone in there securely.
It is spring loaded, feels like it is definitely built to last.
There is a little adjustment nozzle here, so you can tighten or loosen,
depending on the size of your phone.
My case is beefy.
I'm going to go ahead and open it up a bit more.
And as you can tell, the phone will fit right in there.
Nice and snug.
Once you do have it in there, you can go ahead and just tighten it up a little
bit more, especially if you are going off-roading with your bicycle, ensuring
that your phone will stay in place.
Just a little lever here.
You can go ahead, close that up once you are done.
And as you can tell here, very simple, easy process as far as getting your
phone in and out of this mount.
Another great feature about this mount is that the actual buttons on the phone are
still exposed, as well as the camera.
So even while I am riding, I can access the features on the phone, as well as be
able to record video or take pictures.
Now, as far as the other component, which is a quick release for your handlebars,
which the mount will be attached to, you can go ahead and just open it up.
And if you turn it to the left, it will loosen.
If you turn it to the right, it will screw down and tighten.
Getting those pieces out so that I could go ahead and mount this on my handlebars.
And just to show you how this assembly works, there is a sort of a wingnut here.
I'm going to go ahead and take that off.
On the handlebar piece, I'm going to go ahead and just place that over that
little ball there.
I'm going to go ahead and press the ball into the phone mount and go ahead and
just tighten up this wingnut.
As you can tell, there's a lot of different movement here, so you could get
whatever angle that you want.
Once you get the angle set, whether it's landscape, portrait, you go ahead and
tighten up that wingnut so that it would hold it in that specific position.
So when it comes to this rubber or silicone pieces, once again, you have some
options depending on the size of the handlebars that you were mounting it to.
You might need one, you might need two, you might need three, you might need all
four.
If you have super thin handlebars on your bicycle or quad or motorcycle, UTV, ATV.
Cool thing about this mount is you definitely have some options.
So I took a quick look, my handlebars here are relatively thick, so I measured it out
and I'm only going to need two pieces of that actual silicone rubber, the longest
one, and I'm actually using the shortest one.
And as I put it on here, it gave me the good fit that I'm looking for.
So now I'm just put the quick release through the threads, going ahead now and
just tightening it up.
Once I'm done tightening that quick release, just flip it right over, goes
perfectly around the mount, fits right in there.
And as I mentioned earlier, you have a lot of flexibility as far as the angles on
this mount.
And once I find the position that works for me, I can go ahead and just tighten up
that wing nut in the back, which will hold it in place.
I'll go ahead, take my phone, put it right into the mount.
I can tighten it up here and just flip and lock down that other side.
And I am good to go.
Tell here, easy to access the buttons.
Lenses are exposed, not going anywhere.
Flicked a little button on the other side and remove the phone.
That simple.
As usual, I'll place more information in the description as well as my affiliate
link.
So be sure to check that out.
As far as the width on the phone, the minimum is 2.3 inches wide and the max is
three and a half inches wide.
Now, as far as the length of the phone, the minimum is 4.7 inches and the maximum
is seven inches long.
So bottom line, if you are in the market for a phone mount for your bicycle
motorcycle, wide compatibility with size design for a motorcycle, user-friendly
one hand operation, and actually looks good on the bike.
Definitely take a close look at this phone mount from Joyroom.
