Signs You Are Very Attractive

Hello everybody, I'm a practicing therapist and a doctoral student of psychology. Today
we're going to talk about signs that you are very attractive based on research,
more particularly a little bit more gender neutral. But this will help for both male and
female. Most of my followers on this channel are men, but some of the followers from my other
channel, and my other channel's predominantly female audience, some of them look at the videos
here. So this one is gender neutral, okay? So signs that you are attractive, research is in
the description box, and we're going to talk about the research as well in case some of y'all don't
have access. The very first one is people actually react strongly to you, okay? Both positively or
negatively and or, okay? So I'm going to explain why this is occurring. This research was from
2011 and 2008, okay? We see some forms of replicated results in research, especially in psychology.
When we see replicated results, this is a good sign that what we're looking at
actually has a lot of psychological perspectives to which we as therapists, researchers,
whatever you want to consider yourself, we can learn from and we can implement that in our
understanding of human behavior, okay? So this is why I use both research, like two different
research, okay? Attractive individuals do actually tend to create stronger emotions from other
individuals, okay? And because of that, they also receive stronger emotional responses. Let's give
some examples. Admiration or friendliness, okay? We've talked about this on this channel before.
People are more friendly. They're more willing to do things for you. In general, they might be,
they might greet you a little bit more. If you are a lady, maybe you're in public and a lot of people
might ask for your number, or a lot of guys might smile at you, or they might say like, excuse me,
or I'm sorry, or let me get out of your way. You're going to seem more friendly. Whereas if you're a
man, women are not going to do it as directly, right? But they may say something, they may smile at you.
They may be looking at your direction and laughing if you do something silly. Like let's say for
example, you're at the store and then you bump into a shelf and some of the items fall down.
Maybe a lady starts laughing a little bit in like a friendly way, not she's making fun of you.
That's kind of like admiration, right? So that's one way that you're seeing that kind of strong
behavior. Other people might directly admire you a lot, right? If you're a man,
and you have a lot of friends who are maybe perceived as a little bit less attractive based
on the general perspective, a lot of these guys, they might look up to you, right? They may,
whatever you do, they might copy you in a very admiration type of way. However, this doesn't
also mean that you won't have negative behaviors, emotional responses as well, okay? The next one,
very similar, right? We're still talking about emotional responses. What about hostility and
This is very common. Now, this is even more common with same sex individuals, same gender. However,
it does even happen with the opposite gender, interesting enough, and I'm going to talk about
that, okay? A lot of times, let's say you're an attractive lady, and you do something that
maybe a man wants to pick on for whatever reason. Maybe you say, maybe you want to say,
I'm not generally a person who likes to go out and socialize. Maybe that's what you said.
A lot of men might say, oh, you're very cold. You're mean. You're not a good person. You're
not friendly. You're stuck up, whatever it is. He's hostile towards you because
it's possible he finds you attractive, and he wants to put you down because he feels
uncomfortable that he feels attraction towards you, and he doesn't want to feel attraction
towards you. Similarly, if you're a man, and you say something like, I'm not ready to commit right
now. I'm kind of taking my time. I'm okay with dating, but I'm not sure I want to get married
right now. I'm just trying to take my time, and if I ever find somebody, maybe I'll change my
stance, but right now, I really doubt I want to get married. Let's say you say that, and then
all these women are saying, oh, my God, you're so heartless. You're so cold. You're selfish.
You're broken, whatever it is. They're saying that because they find you attractive,
and they wish that you would be more open to committing. It sounds so obvious, but at the
same time, a lot of men who are experiencing this, they might not realize that that's what's
happening. They might feel like, oh, wow, I'm such a bad guy. Maybe I need to change. It's very likely
if you want to change, absolutely you can, but at the same time, it's probably just because
you're attractive. If a person who was unattractive that said that, it wouldn't
create as much of a response because a lot of people, unfortunately, are not as willing to
either. I'm just being honest. I always want to be honest on my channel. So if you're saying
something that makes somebody uncomfortable, it's usually because they want to change your mind,
or they had some sort of connection towards you, whether they want to admit it or not,
and they're not happy with your response because it shows them that they would be in that sense
rejected by you, okay? That's like opposite gender. What about same gender? Let's say you're
a man, and you say, I saw this in my comments like a couple days ago, and I felt really bad.
There was a guy, I made a video about all like the little types of traits that can be a rare
type of guy, all of them together. I know a lot of you guys thought I just meant one. I
meant all of them together. And he put in the comment section that he's tall, he's blonde,
he's got green eyes. He said a lot of the traits that was listed, right? And then a couple comments
were like, what's even the point of saying that? Like, what's wrong with you or something like
that? And I think the comment was deleted. I didn't delete it. I don't know who did,
but I can't see that comment anymore. But I saw that. And like, I feel like it's because a lot of
people are jealous because this guy was saying, hey, you know, I'm pretty tall. I have blonde
hair. I have green eyes. It's so cool that this video really describes me, right? And he was just
reacting in like a very positive way that this video actually like helped him to understand
himself. And a lot of people in the comments were upset about that. It might happen when you guys
are just saying, hey, I'm married, or I really like women like this or whatever it is. And some
guys will be like really upset and be like, why are you bragging? Why are you always talking about
your wife? Whatever it is. I see that a lot. In general, you guys probably know better. For a
lady, you might say something like, I really like, you know, cooking for my boyfriend. Let's just say
that's something you said. And then a lot of girls are like, why are you doing that? Like,
you're just bragging, or you're just trying to talk about your boyfriend all the time,
whatever it is, you're just placating to him. If you're doing that, and you're attractive,
a lot of women might get upset. But if you're unattractive, a lot of times women will be like,
oh, you know, that's so great. Or, you know, just be careful, like they'll be more caring.
But if you're attractive, they might do it in a more hostile way. I could be wrong. This is
just what I'm seeing. And the research does suggest this as well. Okay, that was pretty
long. Actually, I didn't mean to stick on that one so long. So I'm going to try and speed through
the other ones. I'm sorry. The next one is people make more eye contact with you. Okay?
Research done 2003 and 2010. Now a lot of people, we saw this research, people who seem to be
more, the research actually said attractive faces. But basically, what we saw is more even faces.
No one's face is 100% even, at least not my understanding. But what happens is a lot of
people, we saw eye tracking studies, okay, that these individuals actually receive more direct
gaze. So gaze with your eyes, right? Or your face. And actually, what we see is people look at it
longer, because they find people attractive. And a lot of times, it's going to sound strange,
but you can look at the research. Another person's attractiveness can be rewarding to another person,
especially if you're a female and the person looking as a male. But in general, your looks
might be appealing to another person. So they like to look at it. It's just, it's just natural. Okay?
The next one is strangers initiate more conversations or help you more. Research was
done in 19, some of them are in the 1970s. One is 2010. The research is in the description. They're
just, I like to use a lot of, I just like good research. I don't care if it's old or new,
as long as it's good. That's what I like. Okay? Now, attractive individuals do seem to get more
help or assistance or social engagement. Okay? The next one is actually people remember you more.
They remember you more easily. They just, they just do. It's a recognition type of advantage.
Let's say you worked at a company for only three months, and you barely remember everybody,
like anybody there. But maybe you bump into someone random at the grocery store, and they say,
hey, I remember you. You used to work at X, Y, and Z. Do you remember me? You might not remember
them. And it's not necessarily in an offensive way. It's just, they actually remember you much
more significantly because of your attractiveness. This is very common. Okay? The next one is
actually you are treated more favorably by teachers, employers, and peers. Okay? Research does
show that attractive individuals actually receive better evaluation in school and work settings,
even when the performance is nearly identical or worse. Okay? Research done in 2003. Okay?
The next one is people let your perceived bad behaviors slide more easily than a person who's
doing the exact same thing. But you might be rated more attractive. It's just that people
take it a little bit more easily or more lightly, or they may even make excuses. Okay? And the last
one, people, when you tell people you're single, this is only if you're single. Okay? When you tell
people that you are single, they assume you're lying, you're playing the field, or there's
something emotionally wrong with you. And the reason why is because they do not think there's
anything physically wrong with you. If that makes sense. Okay? I hope this video is helpful to
somebody. Please like, subscribe. I will see you in the next one.
