She rarely puts a foot wrong and is known for her elegance and class,
but it doesn't mean Kate Middleton is immune to suffering the odd guff every now and then.
From being caught on TV giving Prince William the cold shoulder,
to getting her heel stuck in a grace, we look at how the Princess of Wales
managed to keep her cool in the moments when it all went wrong.
She may have been carrying a handful of shamrocks,
but the then Duchess of Cambridge still ended up with a spot of bad luck
when she got her heel stuck in a grace.
Fortunately, Prince William was on hand to help his pregnant wife
after her four-inch stiletto got wedged in a drain.
The incident happened at a ceremony on St Patrick's Day in 2013.
Unfazed, Kate, who was pregnant with George, grabbed the arm of her prince
and with a subtle twist pulled herself free.
She didn't let the matter embarrass her.
In fact, she later chatted happily about impending motherhood
and revealed she would like a boy, while William was rather keen on having a girl.
Kate's face said it all when she took part in a cringey wand duel with William
at the Warner Brothers Studios during a Harry Potter tour.
Although struggling to keep a straight face, the Princess got stuck in
and was shown a few spell techniques before battling it out with William.
Hermione, eat your heart out.
The fire may have been roaring behind them,
but the atmosphere appeared frosty during this TV clip.
So did Kate really shrug off Prince William's hand?
That was the question many viewers had
after watching the royals appear on a BBC Christmas show with Mary Berry in 2019.
Viewers were distracted by the brief clip,
which showed Kate seemingly shrug off her husband's comforting hand
as he tried to place it on her shoulder.
Many took to Twitter to comment on the awkwardness,
Kate narrowly avoided an embarrassing fashion faux pas
when a gust of wind whipped up her dress as she stood outside Windsor Castle.
The Princess was attending Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding,
wearing a fuchsia Alexandra Queen dress.
Despite being surrounded by royals, including the Queen,
Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh and her husband William,
it appeared only Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, noticed her Marilyn Monroe moment.
Kate handled the awkward moment with grace,
and seconds later was back to her composed best
and beamed as she waved the newlyweds off on their carriage ride through the town.
The Princess was praised for keeping calm and carrying on
after being challenged by an Irish nationalist during a walkabout in Northern Ireland.
The woman told Kate that Ireland belongs to the Irish
during the meet and greet in North Belfast.
While shaking hands with the Princess, the woman said,
nice to meet you, but it would be better if it was when you were in your own country.
A stunned Kate, who managed to keep her composure throughout the exchange,
laughed and let go of the woman's hand
before continuing to smile and greet other members of the crowd.
Kate's sensational eye roll was caught on camera
after she was told to keep wrapping during a visit to a children's centre in New York.
In the short clip, the Princess, who is busily wrapping a gift,
is seen being tapped on the shoulder by a well-wisher.
As she looks around and smiles, Kate is told to keep wrapping
by the anonymous passerby and quickly turns back to the job at hand,
but not before rolling her eyes in irritation.
Royal fans went wild after footage resurfaced
showing Kate's secret trick as she used her feet to reposition herself.
In the now viral video, the Princess of Wales can be seen shuffling her feet
as she works out the perfect position for a photo
with the Crown Princess of Denmark and Queen Margaret.
The extraordinary moment was captured on camera
during a royal visit to Denmark in February 2022,
with social media users describing the Princess of Wales
as adorable and pure class after her reaction.
