At the age of 17, I believed a man named Bob to be my father...until 2021 when a Parent/Child match popped up on Ancestry. Bob never really believed I was his daughter, perhaps that's why he distanced himself from me, which felt like complete and utter rejection from my "father." He wasn't the real deal, and after all the years wondering why he didn't love me enough to be in my life, I realize now that it was for the best. Then this guy comes into my life and it all made so much sense.
