Wukong returned with an empty hand,
悟空回到家，兩手空空無物裝
Seeking a weapon to rule the land.
尋求神兵利器，要統治這片地方
He dove to the palace of the Dragon King,
他潛入深海龍王宮
But rejected every sharpened thing.
拒絕了所有鋒利的兵器，看不上眼

A pillar of iron, heavy and grand,
那根鐵柱沉重又巨大
Now shrinks to a needle at his command.
如今聽他號令，能縮得像針一樣大
With armor of gold and a phoenix plume,
披上黃金甲，戴上鳳翅盔
He looked like a god in the ocean's gloom.
在幽暗的海底，他宛如神明降臨

With five demon kings, he drank the wine,
與五位妖王，共飲美酒
Calling themselves Sages, a brotherhood divine.
自封大聖，結為神聖的弟兄
But deep in a dream under a bridge so old,
但在老橋下的深沉夢境中
The spirits of Hell came to take his soul.
地府的差役前來，要勾走他的魂靈

"I live forever!" the Monkey King cried,
我長生不老！猴王大聲咆哮
He stormed into Hell with a hero’s pride.
帶著英雄的傲氣，他殺進了地府
He took the Book and he crossed out the names,
他奪過生死簿，勾銷了那些名字
Freeing his friends from death’s cold chains.
讓他的朋友們，從死亡的冰冷鎖鏈中解脫

The Jade Emperor frowned on his throne of white,
玉皇大帝在白玉寶座上眉頭緊鎖
Ready to crush the monkey with might.
準備用武力，將那猴子徹底粉碎
But the Gold Star spoke with a gentle plea:
但太白金星溫和地請求道
"Give him a title and peace we shall see."
給他個官銜，我們就能見到和平。
