Since starting Davidsbeenhere in 2008, I have traveled to 71 countries and over 1,000 destinations, which I welcome you to check out on my YouTube Channel, blog and social medias.
I focus a great deal on food and historic sites, as you probably have seen! I love to experience the different flavors that each destination has to offer, whether it’s casual Street food or gourmet restaurant dining. I’m also passionate about learning the local history and culture.
Welcome to the historical Haddonfield.
Dammit.
Oh my god.
So that's thrift stores here, large jewelry stores, and restaurants.
That's pretty much what Haddonfield's known for.
And it's a dry town?
Dry town.
With bees.
Unfortunately, bees are storming today.
Besides that stuff, is there any historical landmarks?
Yes.
The first Haddonfield.
Haddonfield's the first place to discover a full dinosaur skeleton.
Wow.
That's a hadrosaur.
It's called Hattie, I believe.
And where is the skeleton?
It was found in Haddonfield, but they built a memorial to it right down.
There's a big statue, and that's near the area where it was found.
So that's Haddonfield's historical reference.
Perfect.
So this is the first dinosaur to be discovered in the United States?
1858.
Is that you?
We're here in Philadelphia's Magical Garden.
Some guy pretty much made a mosaic out of a whole building.
It's freaking incredible.
You have to see this while you're in Philly.
Baby, let's just go in and see it quickly, because we have to go.
Whoa.
This is sick, baby.
You have to get a picture right here.
It's gorgeous.
So we're headed to the Phillies Marlins game.
We're going for the Marlins, Marlins.
So we're here at the Palomar Hotel.
So this is where they have a happy hour between 5 and 6.
Complimentary happy hour.
They got Benjamin Franklin right there.
Let's do it quickly, quickly, quickly.
Let's watch to see how fast this elevator is.
Watch.
I think it's my floor.
This elevator is fantastic if you see what they have.
Every elevator is different.
Here's my room, 1502.
The room's great.
It's the perfect size for a couple.
So here we are in City Hall.
So here we go, we're going to the top of City Hall.
Look at that cowboy.
We're just waiting here.
You have to wait for the time that they're giving you.
Wow.
It's gorgeous.
So here we are at the top of the observation deck of City Hall.
It's 48 stories high.
You can see everything from here.
Look at that.
Wow.
Beautiful right there is New Jersey.
Give me a sec, let me just...
Here we are about to enter Reading Terminal Market.
Wow.
It smells like amazing right now.
So we're here at Mada.
It's supposed to be Jose Garza's best restaurant.
And first restaurant is my beautiful...
So here we are in Jewelers Row.
It's the oldest Jewelers Row in the country.
And this is the oldest jewelry store in Pennsylvania.
Perfect.
Yeah, it started with my great-great-grandparents.
Now it's my grandparents, uncles, two cousins, including myself.
Wow.
So we use that certification.
Because you get what you pay for.
Alright, so we're done with the City of Brotherly Love.
We had a great time.
