Not Your Typical Sturgis Experience / Dispersed Camping In South Dakota

The party starts at Sturgis. Good morning stubborn nation. Today is going to be an interesting video. We are headed to Sturgis, South Dakota, but we're doing it a little bit different. We've done Sturgis just about every way you can imagine and this time we're doing it different. Got the beautiful, lovely Miss Ashley with me. Back here I got my co-pilot scooter. What are you looking at out there? Oh he's sniffing the woods. We're in the Jeep. We are off-road. We're looking for a place to camp off the grid. No power, no water. We're in the truck not only because it's more comfortable for scooter, but what do we got behind us baby? We have our dirt bikes. Yay! We're gonna do some off-roading. So Sturgis is going to be several parts for us. The first couple days we're gonna do some off-roading and see Sturgis off the pavement, which is something a lot of people don't get to see that come here every year. And we've got a little camper back there that I got from my buddy Freddy Brewer. I bought it from him. I'm taking my lovely lady and scooter back into the woods in South Dakota for a little adventure. Then on to the buffalo trip. See here there's this little stream running along the road. So we're kind of tracking that back here. Looking for the spot, but man is it beautiful. Near water too. We want it to be near water, a creek, a stream, something. This is the goal. Dalton campground. It's a desolate campground. It don't have any electricity or water, but it's right on a lake. Look at that. We are in a camping spot and unloading the bikes. This is how the bikes fit in here. Two dirt bikes. One Harley or Indian, but two little dirt bikes can fit in here no problem. And there's the lake. We're gonna find a spot like completely dispersed, like away from everybody. But being on that lake, it's worth having a couple other campsites around in my opinion. So we're gonna, we're gonna stay here. Still no power, no water, but we've brought all of our stuff. The Stubborn American event happening right here at the Cay River Campground the first weekend of October every year. The wildest event I will attend all year and y'all should attend with me. We got this like little gazebo here behind us. We're gonna check out a little bit later. Got some shade trees for later. Little fire pit. Look at the other chair set up. Got our rug. Anyhow, this is our camper set up. This is the one that I got for my boy Freddy. Our little kitchen set up. There's a sink under there. Got some potted water there. That's a three burner oven and the grill. Little awning. What I love. Oh, we got Scooter in here. What's up, Rue? What I love is this mesh net back because Scooter can still get in here. He's got a good view. He can see out, but we don't have to worry about him. Yeah, that's the best part of it. And we ain't got no bugs in here. Little TV, little bed, sink, stove, microwave. This is another bunk. Never needed it. Little bathroom, toilet, shower, little mini fridge, bench. Really everything you need. Most important is you got a place to sleep, bathe, cook, and haul motorcycles. Got the bikes out. If y'all are new to our channel, maybe you don't know what we're riding today. Ashley, what do you got? It is a good little bike. It's a great little trail crawler. And I got the 2021 KTM 500. Pulled that trailer, which we figure weighs about 5,000 mark on that trailer. And then I had probably another thousand pounds inside the Jeep. We are ready for a couple days of relaxing in the woods. We're going to bring you all along. And then the madness, the madness. The party starts at Sturgis. That is right. Sturgis coming at you next, but first we center, baby. Fuel here in Nemo. Look at the scenery. Beautiful. A couple of gorgeous Harley Davidsons. More of them going down the street. Bike week is coming. And of course, check this out, y'all. Look it. Of course, Law Tigers is there because we're in the middle of nowhere, but there's motorcycles here. So of course there's Law Tigers. We are up here. Y'all, this is beautiful up here. My God, who'd have known the Black Hills were like this. Look at that. Talk about being up here. You doing okay over there, baby? You look good. You got to keep an eye out for mountain lions though. Is that what it is? That gas station This is neat to ride your bike through this. Oh, wow. Unbelievable. We are going to hang out here for a little bit. Look at that. That's deep. Come on the wrong direction now. Yeah, it's okay. That's a big climb. We're back at camp and look, we're about to go for a swim. Oh, deer. You see that? So we've determined this spot is a little dark. The water's a little dark and it looks kind of mucky down there too. See if that's mucky. Stick your foot in there, baby. Stick your foot in there. See if it's mucky. You can see little footprints down in there. You can see them. I'm teasing you. I was going to do it. I saw that baby. Oh, it is cold. That is gorgeous. Fishing right back there. Morning swim. We're not going to go fishing. Official decision. Time to cook dinner. What'd you bring? Your favorite. Steak. My steak always goes in after Ashley's. I like mine charred and rare. Yep, that's the way steak should look. Baby, you're so fancy. I love you. Look at that. So we're eating at our living room table. You can hear it, but we ain't getting wet yet. This is where I'm gonna tell y'all, see you later. I'm gonna enjoy dinner with my girl. First day in Sturgis, baby. Such a different experience. It has been different. I like to try new things.
