He Made the Golf Team… Now It Gets REAL (First Match) ⛳🔥

Yes, we have officially added Golf as a new sport and not just a hobby we did on vacation. Gavin decided he was done with baseball after last season and wanted to try something else. So it was either track, tennis, or golf (spring sports). He enjoys tennis a little but didn't want to pursue it. He is driven to get faster in sprinting but not fast enough to compete just yet. And he has really enjoyed golf lately so golf is the path he took. And he has really been enjoying it and has improved a ton since just playing around with the family on vacation this summer.
But all the family fun competitions are over and now it's for real! His first golf match! He's playing on the JV team as a 9th grader and in today's match they played against a varsity team. Overall Gavin did great (in my opinion). He had some great shots and drove the ball really well. But he also had some shots that he wishes he could have back. So lots to learn and it will be fun to watch him grow and improve in these next few years with golf!
