Now, as long as we don't have the issue that we had last week... or last week... last night we were streaming on Arcade Snow Dogs and my computer overheated. This is Memphis. This is... Oakley looking absolutely adorable on the couch over here. We are Gone To The Snow Dogs and today is Friday. Normally today is Fan Friday or AskGTTSD Friday and every other Friday what we do is we actually do a live stream. So... instead of doing like the normal video, we do a live stream. We do a live Q&A. If you don't watch the vlog channel, then you don't know that we're currently rebuilding the A-Frame for the dogs and we're actually making a full DIY video to show you guys how to make your own backyard agility A-Frame for you and your dogs. It wasn't in the vlog today but we did find out today that our A-Frame is a little bit more rotted than we first thought, so instead of deconstructing and reconstructing it, we're building an entire new one. Dun dun dun! I saw something about, do you like Harry Potter? Yes! How long have BlondieWolf2005 How long have you had all of your dogs? We get asked this a lot. But a lot of you guys are new, so I will answer some questions. Sometimes I answer repeat questions because we get new people every time. Shelby is nine and we've had her her whole life. Oakley is thirteen and we adopted her when she was six? We've had Oakley five years. So we've had Oakley five years. And then Memphis is four and we've had her her whole life as well. How long have we had Huskies? Fifteen years total, I think? Don't quote me on that. I might be wrong on that. Maybe sixteen years? A long time. Do you have issues? Kira Robin says, do you have an issue with the girls chewing and how do you handle it? When Shelby was younger she was notorious for chewing. She destroyed everything. She was like the worst puppy ever. She was a big time chewer. But not so much anymore now that she's gotten older. When she was younger, the biggest way that we really worked with her on it was just lots of exercise Kong toys. When she was teething we used towels that would get wet and freeze and when she chewed on them it would help numb her gums a little bit. But as for chewing for the rest of the dogs, Memphis was not a big chewer as a puppy and Oakley is not really a big chewer either. That's pretty much what we know about that. Do they bark a lot? Not really. I mean they sing, but they don't really bark a whole lot. What are your favorite books? Oh gosh. Recent favorite books? I like anything by John Grisham. He's my favorite author I would say. I like books about law and lawyers and trials. I've always been really big into that. I don't think I've ever answered this question. Yeah. John Grisham is my favorite author. I really like books about law. I like autobiographies and biographies and true stories and I'm a huge crime documentary person. I could watch Unsolved Mysteries over and over and over. 2020. I like those. I don't know why. Crime mysteries and docudramas. Things like that. Memphis is so funny. Bye Oakley. She's going that way. Have you ever seen Balto? Multiple times. Can you do DIY donuts for dogs? We have two or three different DIY donuts for dog recipes. If you go to our playlist, our channel and click on playlists, you can find the playlist of all 74 treat videos we've done and you can search the playlist and search for donuts and you can come up with those recipes. I'm like, what am I trying to say? I saw another question I wanted to answer and then I got distracted. Chris said, did you or Jamie have a dog before you guys met? I grew up with St. Bernard's. Jamie and I got together in our senior year in high school so neither of us had our quote unquote own dogs before we met. We just had the dogs we had when we were growing up as kids with our families. I had St. Bernard's growing up my entire life. Jamie had a Husky for a short while when he was younger and he also had a Cocker Spaniel. How is Shelby's paw and when is her surgery? She's actually doing really good. It hasn't gotten any bigger. Hasn't gotten any smaller either. Doesn't seem to be hurting her at all. We've been still doing our normal thing. The vet said we don't have to really stop doing anything with her because it's just a fatty tumor. It's not causing her any pain. Her surgery is June 28th I believe is what it is. We are going to VidCon and it is after we get back from VidCon. By the way, we're going to VidCon. Jamie and I will be at VidCon so if any of you guys are in California and you would like to meet Jamie or I, we will be at VidCon in California. The dogs won't be there but we'll be there. But her paw is doing really good and her surgery will be when we get back. They could have scheduled it like two days before we left for California but we didn't think that was a good idea because we have a dog sitter coming. Well Rebecca is coming. Rebecca and Greg are going to be watching the dogs and I didn't want her to have stitches in her foot while we were gone. So since we're only gone for four days we're like, we'll just wait until we get back. How often should you bathe and clip your dog's nails? It really depends on the breed of dog that you have. As for clipping their nails, I would definitely try to do it about... well see I don't clip... get it Shelby? I don't clip our dogs nails. I use the Dremel on their nails instead of clipping them and I try to do that about once a week. And as for bathing them, it really depends on your breed. Our dogs get a bath maybe once or twice a year and that's it. They don't get a bath very often. VidCon is in Anaheim, California for those of you wondering. It's the same place where they host Comic Con. How often do you groom them a lot? Because they shed a lot and if we don't groom them a lot then all of the hair ends up in the house. So we groom them a lot. Woop! Where'd you go Memphis? How often do you make treats for your dogs? The treat videos we do are every other Monday. I mean right now that's what they are. I have a lot of people asking if we can start doing them every Monday and Jamie and I have kind of talked about that. About switching them to every Monday but that would be 52 treats we'd have to come up with every year. That's a lot of treats but I don't know, maybe. We've talked about it. I know! What? What? Oh goodness! What? Careful! You're bumping into Oakley! They bumped into you, huh Oakley? They bumped into you, huh? Shelby! You are crazy! Our Huskies are good hiking companions. Yeah, Huskies will hike with you in the woods 12 miles if you want to go 12 miles in the woods. Yes, Oakley is the oldest. Do I have a favorite? No, I love all my dogs. Oh my goodness, what? My goodness, what? Do they howl a lot? Yeah, they do like to make a lot of noise. Don't you? You like to start barking to get everybody else started on howling. Oh, you silly girls! What are you doing over there? Any tips for heavy shedding? Ok, so this is a question I get asked all the time. My dog sheds a lot. What do I do? There's so much hair. What do I do? Brush your dog. Vacuum. No joke. Literally vacuum. Sometimes twice a day. They just shed that much. It's just what you have to do. It's part of what you have to do. Jamie actually vacuumed just before we made this video because there was fluffies all over the place. I just blew out her coat the other day and blew out her coat the other day and got Shelby about half done before she didn't want it done anymore. That's just what you have to do when you have Huskies. You have to brush them and... I mean dogs in general. Have you ever used breakaway collars? No. I've never used breakaway collars. I do know somebody that uses them and he swears by them. But I don't use breakaway collars. Okay, so there's different types of breakaway collars. There's the ones that have the little circle and then the C thing goes like this so they kind of just clip out. And then there's the ones that actually clip in that a certain amount of force will cause them to break away. I don't think the collars that I use actually break. They'll break. Shelby turned into a diva probably by the time she was about four or five years old. She kind of got set in her diva ways. Who sheds the most? All of them! All of them! Shirley said, would you ever fly with any of your dogs? You hear such horrible things about it sometimes. No! I will never ever put my dogs in an airplane unless they are allowed to sit up in the cabin in a seat next to me. Realistically, I wish more airlines would actually look into things like this because I would pay for a plane ticket to allow one of my dogs to fly with us in an airplane or all of the dogs. I would pay for a full plane ticket for them to have a seat. I would, but I would never put my dog in the cargo area of an airplane. I would rather drive across country than fly, than put my dogs in an airplane. I mean, I know like, yes a lot of bad things in the news you know, are said about dogs and flying in airplanes, but a lot of dogs pets and animals fly everyday and make it just fine, but it's just not. I just, I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I would rather pay to have a private plane fly us somewhere if we absolutely had to fly somewhere. It's really not that much more. So, if it was something we absolutely had to do that's probably what we would end up doing. Or we would just drive because we would. We have done a lot of videos on this. She never plays with toys. Seems like when we do, look at her. She's actually in the toy box. She's in the toy box. The biggest tips is be patient and like I said, if you go to our channel page and search for how to prepare for a puppy that will give you a whole list of things for how to prepare for a puppy. They all pretty much feel the same. Do you dress up your dogs on Halloween? Yes! Go to our channel page and search for Halloween. Shelby loves Halloween. Make burgers for dogs. That's also on our list. A lot of you guys are suggesting treats right now. Go to our last treat video and put all those suggestions on there. That's where I go and start and look for them when I'm looking for treat suggestions. Do 4th of July treats. We will. Why does Shelby sit like that? I have no idea. Shelby would eat it. I don't have any favorites. How does living with Huskies compare to living with St. Bernard's? There's a lot less drool with Huskies but a lot more shedding. A lot more shedding. Shelby seems to love the senior Kong. Yeah, I noticed that. She keeps picking up that purple Kong. I might have to get a second one so that she can have one too. Actually, the last video, treat video we did was the Pina Colada Kongs and thank you for the super chat Curly Productions. Kong actually reached out to us and said they might be sending us a box of stuff for the dogs. So, maybe they'll send us some. Who knows? Have your dogs ever been out of the state? Yes. They've been to Wisconsin and Minnesota and we're hopefully going to be going to Minnesota again this year for a trip and to Ohio. They've been to Ohio. Yes, we live in Michigan. Jess, how often do your dogs fight or wrestle? They don't fight. They do wrestle with each other probably daily. Memphis is so happy with that toy. She's like, look guys, I got this. I'm gonna tear it to pieces. It's amazing. I got a high from Puerto Rico and a high from Scotland. Would you ever get another type of dog? Maybe another type of snow dog. I really like the northern breeds and I really like Huskies. I highly doubt we would really ever get a different breed. Maybe a Malamute, maybe a Samoyed, but I have a feeling that our whole life will probably have Huskies. Which dog loves toys more? I think Shelby likes them the best. Somebody asked if the Purple Kong is easier to chew. The Purple Kong is a Senior Kong that somebody sent to Oakley for her birthday. I'm sorry, I don't remember who it was. But yes, it is softer. And actually, I have a Puppy Kong too. And the Puppy Kong even feels different than the Senior Kong. So the Purple one is a little bit softer. The black ones that I have are the Extreme Kongs. They're for like extreme chewing. And then they have the red... I don't think I have any red ones. But they have red ones as well. So it just depends on the level of chewing for your dogs. Like what their level of chewing is. Can you make play button treats? I thought about doing play button treats. We won't get another play button from YouTube on this channel until we hit a million subscribers. Which, who knows if or when. I mean, I think it will happen. I just think it will be a long time. So I was thinking maybe when we hit half a million subscribers, we'll make play button treats. If you guys want us to make play button treats, tell your friends to subscribe to our channel so we can grow faster. Have you ever regretted getting Huskies? Nope! I don't regret very many things in life. Because you know what? Even if you do something and it turns out wrong or it doesn't turn out the way you want it to, you don't really have to regret it. You can just use it as a learning experience and keep moving forward. I mean, that's about all you can do. How's the bathroom? The bathroom is on hold while we're waiting for the electrician to finish what he has to do. So we're kind of waiting on the electrician. We'll have to update you guys on that in a vlog here in the next day or two. Because it's, I mean it's, we've got, he's got, Jamie's got, the drywall is pretty much all up and mudded and we are going to do some of the sanding. But we're kind of waiting. We have one wall we can't close in until the electrician is finished. So we weren't sure if we wanted to paint half of it and then have to go back and paint. We might. We're actually going out of town next week with the dogs. The dogs are going on a trip to Chicago next week. Which should be interesting. So we might wait and not work on the bathroom until we get back. Because we have game night tomorrow night. We have something going on on Sunday. We're leaving Monday. We won't be back until Wednesday. So the bathroom might just wait. Because we kind of started working on the A-frame. We have a lot of projects going on. Memphis, Belle! What are you doing? What is your opinion on misunderstood breeds like pit bulls and rat wilders? It's the same I've said over and over and over. There are no bad dogs, only bad owners. Bad owners can create bad dogs. That makes sense. Most dogs can be rehabilitated but not all. Yes, we're driving to Chicago. We're only like six hours away. Six and a half hours away. My speakers are okay. Are you taking the RV? When we got Shelby, my sister Casey, who lives in Arizona went with me to go look at her as a puppy. Then Jamie and I went back to get her. My sister Casey bought Shelby her very first collar. Which was the purple jelly roll lupine collar. And... I've always had this thing where I like to have everything color coded for the dogs. Pretty much everything of Shiloh's was red. Everything of Oakley's is blue. Everything of Memphis' is green. And because Shelby's first collar was purple, now I've kept to have everything Oh! Wrong camera! I've kept everything purple for Shelby. So that is why she has a purple harness and a purple collar. And all of her things are purple. I blame my sister. My sister's... My sister Casey, her favorite color is purple. So, she thought that was kind of funny to pick the purple collar for Shelby. What are you doing Snugglebuggle? She's like, I'm Snugglebuggling. What do you think I'm doing? I don't know what you want. I don't have anything and you already went outside, so I'm not really sure what you want. Well, she hasn't been a diva her whole life. What do you think about Roman Atwood's Husky Flash? I don't watch Roman that much. I mean I do, but I don't watch him that much. I haven't watched him in like a week or so, so if something new happened with Flash, I haven't heard about it. What do you think of the Jeep Renegade? I think it looks like that little Fiat square car. I like Jeep. I like Jeep as a brand, and I think they make pretty good vehicles, but I think there have been a few vehicles that they've made that aren't really as true to the brand. The Renegade's not a bad vehicle. I've actually watched some pretty cool videos on it. They're cute if you want a little tiny... They're just tiny, and I'm not used to a tiny vehicle. We have a Grand Cherokee and it's pretty big, and then we have the four-door Wrangler and it's pretty big. So I'm not used to a little tiny car, but they're cute. I don't think I would ever own one, but I don't know. I mean maybe I would.
