Yo Kelly! Yo yo yo, so we just finished an amazing meal at Tavern here in Brentwood. Really full. We're gonna go eat. Oh wait no, I already said that. Hey guys, David Hoffman here from David's Been Here. This is day two here in LA and I'm staying here at the Lombardi House in Hollywood but right now I'm headed to Brentwood to meet with travel host Kelly Rizzo from Eat Travel Rock. We're gonna have some drinks, eat some food, and I'm gonna interview her for my new Travel Talk series and then after that I'm headed to Santa Monica to meet with travel filmmaker Mike Dewey. I'm also gonna interview him for the Travel Talk series. We're gonna have some beers, see Santa Monica, and then after that I have to head back to Hollywood. I have to be here around five. I'm meeting with my cousin Alessandro. We're gonna have some dinner and then go see Spider-Man Homecoming. Let's go. Nice to meet you too. Perfect. And look how great it looks with the little pop-up. Yeah, so it's Eat Travel Rock. I eat and travel and rock out for a living. It's a lot of hard work, The best way to get around Los Angeles is using Uber. I've been taking it for the past two days and really there's no better way. Obviously you have a lot of traffic. Santa Monica. What's up, dude? You're on the vlog, dude. My name is Mike. I'm a filmmaker. I have a YouTube channel as well and now I'm going to show David some Santa Monica action for the day. So this is the which is probably like the most touristy thing, obviously. I feel like most people when they come to LA, they always go to the pier. That's like their beach day or whatever. There's a spot that I really like that I don't think a lot of tourists usually go to that's kind of underneath the pier over to the side called Big Beans and they say that they're the oldest bar in LA. I don't know if that's true or not. It's just a cool environment where you can grab like a burger and a beer and they've got like an outdoor area. We're gonna go check it out. Hopefully it's not too crazy because it's midsummer. It's gonna be fun. Cheers, dude. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too. Wolf Pup. It's from a brewery here in downtown LA and it's so good. I love IPAs. How do you guys know? It's pretty good, man. You like IPAs? I love IPAs. It's like my go-to. It's not that bad. It's not that bad? It's not that bad and you know what? The GorillaPod helps me stabilize everything. Yeah, yeah. Right on. You know, it's not that bad. Nice, dude. This is Santa Monica Pier. One of the best attractions in LA. This is like the South Beach of Miami. Santa Monica Beach. I feel like when everyone visits LA, they always come to Santa Monica. It's like the magnet. Sometimes people go south to Venice, but for the most part, I feel like people always come to Santa Monica. The beach is basically completely covered in people. You can't even hardly see the sand. It's just a little cool area at the end of the Santa Monica Pier. I don't think a lot of people will come down this far, but you come all the way to the end and you go down. Yeah, usually it's like an older Mexico. So if you've been to Los Angeles, you've probably been here to the Santa Monica Pier. It's probably one of the number one attractions in the city or most visited places. It is. And then they have this park right here. It's a little amusement park with roller coasters and a ferris wheel. So Mike was telling me that I had to try a corn dog here at Hot Dog Stick. It's actually called Hot Dog on a Stick. I haven't eaten here in a really long time, but I used to when I was a lot younger. I know it's a popular place in Southern California. I'm not sure if it's a special thing here in Santa Monica, but I think if you haven't had it, you should check it out. Let's try it. Thank you. Yeah, man. It's delicious. Yeah, it just tastes right like your childhood. I haven't had a hot corn dog in years. Uber. Beautiful day today, right? Absolutely. If you're coming to Santa Monica and trying to get back to Hollywood or downtown Los Angeles, it takes about an hour. And we're not in the high traffic time, right? So, you know, right now it's like 3 p.m. If you try to go later, it won't be good. So I'm staying here at the Lombardi House in Hollywood. It is a Victorian farmhouse. There's multiple suites. My suite has two bedrooms, two baths, upstairs. Downstairs, we have a kitchen, dining room, living room, washer-dryer. And before I take you inside the house, here on the side, they have an incredible barn. And they do events here. So this is the barn. So again, you can have events here. Pretty amazing. Now let's go inside. Living room, dining room, kitchen, bath, and washer-dryer. I'm waiting for my cousin Alessandro to get here. Then we're going to dinner. I'm thinking dim sum. There's a really good dim sum place right next door. Primo, llegaste. What's up? I'm here with David Hoffman. We're in LA. We're about to go see Spider-Man, get something to eat. My agent Kyle was saying this place is bomb. Dim sum. Hey, how you doing? So me and Alessandro went a little crazy and ordered like six different things. My favorite is this one. It's like a chili dumpling with a strip inside. I love it. So I'm going to have this one. I'll tell you what it tastes like. Oh my god. Very spicy, but delicious. And this whole meal costs like $25. So very affordable, right here in Hollywood. Sunset Boulevard, right? Long day. We're done. Right now we're going to see the Dome IMAX, Hollywood. All right, but I can't show you guys obviously where we're going because we're going to the Dome.
