In this video my bullion dealer discusses the shocking news of a recent French gold repatriation demand. France sold all 129 tons of gold it had stored at the New York Federal Reserve, then rebuilt its position by buying from other European central banks. They booked a $15 billion capital gain in the process! Every ounce of Frances 2,437 tons of gold (the fourth largest national gold reserve in the world) is now held domestically. What does this mean for the rest of the world? Is this demand for gold by nations just the beginning? Watch as my coin shop dealer, Tim Marschner of the Coin and Stamp Shop, discusses the history of European gold repatriation and helps gold and silver stackers buy and sell bullion in his coin shop. Listen as we discuss where the price of silver and gold are headed as bullion sellers swarm in his shop. These are unprecedented times requiring us to stack precious metals. Protect yourself from out-of-control governments, evil central banks, and the failing US dollar's grip as the world's reserve currency. Make sure you build a stack of silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, and gold coins as essential barter and wealth preservation!
Honestly, I didn't know how much you really have.
Look at everything you see right here.
This is everything.
I have nothing else.
France pulled all its gold from the New York Fed and made $15 billion doing it.
They repatriated their gold.
You know where that gold came from.
You can price it at whatever you want to price it and put it in your own vaults.
Did I say anything that could get me?
When Americans buy gold and silver, trust matters.
S.D. Bullion is A-plus rated by the BBB and trusted with over $6 billion in transactions,
transparent pricing, reliable delivery.
S.D. Bullion dot com.
Where America buys physical gold and silver.
What's my best bang?
They're both about the same.
Let me see here.
Do you mind me asking you what you're doing?
Selling.
So we can have some fun.
On this one.
Selling silver for fun.
Just fun.
For fun.
He enjoys buying and constantly keeping up on the golds and the silver and so I'm just
a tag along.
Is this your first time in here?
It is and I see you guys all the time on TV.
So.
Thanks for watching.
We're headed back up to Maine so this is our pit stop.
Nice pit stop.
Yeah.
I'm excited.
I'm new to this so, you know, but he does it for such a long time and I respect him
because it's a lot of money that he's been saving.
Yeah.
You know.
For him.
And the money.
It's good to have the gold and the silver because it doesn't depreciate.
It's good to have the real money rather than the currency that the government can print,
right?
Correct.
And you know, it's a good way for us to save, you know, because you have cash, you just
blow it.
Metals, you don't really, you just save it.
And honestly, I didn't know how much you really had.
You didn't.
I don't ask questions.
Look at everything you see right here.
This is it.
This is everything.
I have nothing else.
I wish I had more.
We might buy some today.
I don't know.
You might buy some.
What do you have in here that you're selling?
Nothing.
Wow.
Look at that.
Two bars.
Mm-hmm.
Ten ounce.
And a tube?
Yeah, a tube of the buffaloes.
So how long have you been stacking?
Six?
No, eight years.
Probably about eight years.
Something like that.
That's good.
It was a little less expensive back then.
Quite a bit, actually.
Yeah.
I remember eight years ago.
Wow.
Silver wasn't anywhere near where it is today.
Yep.
The volatility has been all over the place.
It's been insane, but I'm just holding on.
And yeah, lately, it's just been gold.
If I had any.
Yeah.
What is the one?
Is it the Ultra High Relief?
Oh.
Is it a Gardens?
Is that a Saint Gardens?
Amazing.
I want one, but I'm like, I'm not going to pay it.
Yeah, it was a restrike, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
High Relief, yeah.
Yeah.
Beautiful, beautiful coin, but yeah, I'm not going to buy that.
Yeah, that's more like a collector item rather than a stacker item.
Yeah, exactly.
We're getting into pre-'33.
Yeah.
I'm digging that.
I finished my tube of pre-'33 gold Double Eagle Liberty heads.
Nice.
And those are reasonable premiums.
Yeah, yeah.
Especially if you get the lower grades, you can stack those and not have to spend too much over spot.
Yeah, nice.
How'd you get the bug?
Oh, a friend of mine stacks, so he got me into it.
And once I get the bug, then you know how it is.
I've seen you stack.
You've seen my stack.
I've seen you stack.
It's impressive.
So why are you selling?
Your wife kind of spilled the beans here.
Yeah, just bought a motorcycle.
Oh, so that's the fun that she's talking about, huh?
Yeah, yeah.
So it's not going to pay for the motorcycle, but it'll offset.
Okay.
You know, put a little money back into the bank account.
How long have you guys been working together?
Oh, gosh.
Seems like an attorney.
Almost eight years.
He came in here one day, and he's, you know,
I just wanted to ask you some questions about gold and silver.
And I said, okay.
And he's got his phone out, and he was recording.
Oh, he was recording you?
You don't mind if I record some of your answers, do you?
And he said, no.
And I figured he was just recording the answers.
Yeah, yeah.
Settling your national attention.
And when I saw that he was actually making videos now, I said,
did I say anything that could get me in trouble?
No.
It was something I said about Nancy Pelosi, and you didn't edit it out.
That was the best.
That's the good stuff, Tim.
That's the good, right?
That's gold.
That's gold right there.
Speaking of gold, can I ask you a question?
Sure.
About gold.
I sent you a text a few days ago that really seemed to piss you off, Tim,
I have to admit.
You had a reply.
Do you remember?
They pulled all their gold from the New York Fed.
I remember exactly what I said.
Do you plan to have that?
It will be up on the screen, man.
France pulled all its gold from the New York Fed and made $15 billion doing it.
How did you reply?
I hope I don't get too many of my customers in Europe upset.
The European Union is 27 broke countries run by stupid people who don't care
what happens after they go through their gold.
I agree with that.
Do you agree?
Facts are stubborn things.
27 basket cases joined to make one great big basket case.
So, Tim, just so that people can understand what just happened,
it was reported that France sold all 129 tons of gold that it had stored
at the New York Fed.
They rebuilt their position by buying from other European central banks.
They booked a $15 billion capital gain, right?
And now every ounce of French gold is held domestically.
They repatriated their gold.
You know where that gold came from originally?
Oh, I think we're in for another history lesson by Tim about European gold
in just a minute or so.
But I need to quickly tell you about an American repatriation
that I believe is going on right now.
Guys, we have sadly entered an era of resource-constrained warfare.
Critical minerals and rare earth metals are now being treated like oil.
They are strategic, they are scarce, and they are weaponizable.
And another sad fact is China controls approximately 85% to 90%
of global rare earth processing capacity.
We in the West need to close this gap now.
So let me tell you about a really cool investment opportunity
and share some related big news before we get back to Tim.
It's an indispensable element that we need right now.
Niobium.
Niobium, Yankee? Really?
Yes.
I'm not personally stacking niobium, but I'm pretty sure our U.S. military is.
Because niobium and the magnetic duo of neodymium and praseodymium
are a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 for modern military operations.
Not just important, guys, but literally indispensable for critical systems
like our F-35 fighter jet, our Tomahawk missiles.
I mean, us silver stackers here, people talk about how much silver
is in a Tomahawk missile, but what about niobium?
It's indispensable for that missile as well.
And these rare earth minerals cannot be replicated by any other materials
for our military.
And that brings me to the sponsor of today's video
and a way for us to close this insane gap.
North American niobium and critical minerals.
Ticker symbol N-I-O-M-F on the over-the-counter market.
Right now, they are exploring for this stuff in the very same region
where North America's only niobium mine exists.
Did you catch what I just said?
The only niobium mine in North America.
How crazy is that?
That's got to change.
North American niobium's assets are in Quebec.
Four core properties that they're focusing on
in the Grenville Province mining area.
Rare earth target zones spanning nearly 75,000 acres.
And here's the big news.
North American niobium has just been authorized to drill
at two more of their Quebec projects.
That is so cool.
And just as the world's largest governments are fighting
over access to critical minerals.
So while we do have critical deficits in niobium and its cousins,
neodymium and praseodymium, this could be a great opportunity.
North American niobium and critical minerals
is trading near year-to-date lows right now.
I think this is a true ground floor opportunity
with huge upside potential.
So do yourselves a big favor.
Check out North American niobium, N-I-O-M-F.
They can be traded via brokers like Schwab, Fidelity, or E-Trade.
Obviously, don't buy a single share of them
or any other mining stock I profile on my channel
just because I'm impressed by them.
Please do your own due diligence and see if they're right for you.
To that end, please check out the links about them in the description below.
Now let's get back to Tim at the Coin and Stamp Shop.
They've had kings, okay?
And the kings were intermarried in other countries in Europe.
It includes Great Britain.
So let's say you marry a princess from Spain.
Along with the princess comes a lot of gold.
And then another king marries a princess from, I don't know, England.
Along with that comes a lot of gold.
But they decided one day to behead all their kings.
And what they started doing was going through all their gold.
It's a typical European country.
All right, so they gave it to us, though, at World War II.
After World War II, we held it.
Now they want it back.
Germany seems to be poised to do the same thing.
That should be a big red, you know, siren going off.
They're not buying gold, new gold.
And if you, you know, I Google this all the time.
What central banks are buying gold?
And what comes up from the World Gold Council
is countries that are adding to their gold reserves.
Right.
Okay, now what are those countries?
Well, South Africa, some South American countries that have lots of gold mining.
It's a long list of countries that own gold mines.
Well, France now has, what, 2,437 tons of gold in total.
It's the fourth largest nationally owned gold reserve in the world.
You think you're going to see more of this?
Well, around the world, and we've talked about China a lot,
and where China gets their gold.
Yeah.
They're looking at China and going, why don't we do that?
But what's the reason for that, Tim?
Is there a lack of confidence?
What's the euro worth?
Well, about as much as the renminbi is worth.
So they want real assets.
All the currencies in the world are made up out of thin air.
So you can price it at whatever you want to price it
and put it in your own vaults.
And if they can convince other countries to sell their gold, that's fine.
That's the only way to have any worth in your day-to-day transaction.
It's one of the reasons why I stack gold.
I like to be like a central bank.
There's a reason I believe they're stacking it.
It's not just like Ben Bernanke said years ago, well, tradition.
The reason people hold gold is as a protection against what we call tail risk,
really, really bad outcomes.
Do you think gold is money?
No.
Why do central banks hold it?
Well, it's the former reserves.
Why don't they hold diamonds?
Well, it's tradition, long-term tradition.
Some people still think it's money.
I yield back. My time is up.
Come on. They keep it for a reason.
Yeah.
A good reason.
It's one of the reasons why we should stack gold, in my opinion, for good reasons.
I wonder how much gold Iran has.
The dollar index is 58% euro.
My problem is with the euro.
I think the euro is overvalued just because it's not made of anything,
except maybe that how many billions in gold they have.
That's the first time they put any value into the euro.
So did it bother you that they did that?
Not really.
I think people are going to see that there really is no shortage of gold.
What's the price of silver and gold right now, Tim, as of this video?
Let's see.
Silver is down a little bit from its high.
Well, it just went back to the high.
Right now it's 76.
Oh, 75.99.
Okay.
Gold is 47.85.95.
So 47.86.
I think if this conflict gets cleaned up and the ceasefire holds and it continues,
I think silver is going to go back up to the 100 mark and gold up to 5,000.
I think that's where we're headed this year.
If things settle down.
Yeah, we're planning to be here noon to 5 on Saturday.
All right, thank you.
Bye.
How has business been?
Good?
Crazy?
It was still more on the people selling side than buying,
but it's got to work both ways,
and I think when the hedge funds get kicked out of this market,
it might go back to where it belongs.
I'd rather get rid of those, hold on to this.
I also have some gold.
Ooh.
Gold bars.
Would you rather get rid of silver or gold?
It breaks my heart either way.
Either way, it hurts, but sometimes you've got to do it.
You're thinking about the fun, aren't you?
Yeah.
Happy wife, happy life, right?
Always.
Yeah, that's fine.
People come in asking for gold bars, right?
Little ones like that?
Yeah, everybody wants either one gram or five grams.
Grams? Really?
That's interesting.
Needless to say, I don't have any one grams or five grams.
I must have 50 ten grams,
and the other one that nobody asked for are the 20 grams.
Oh, okay.
So those are starting to pile up.
Yeah, I don't need to get rid of these.
It was going to be one or the other,
so I'm good getting rid of this right here.
Okay, let me see here.
If you already have an abundance,
if you already have an abundance,
then no sense in putting that in the mix.
All right, so let's take a look at this.
Yeah, Yankee, we need a picture of your hands.
We've only seen them on TV.
What was that?
We need a picture of your hands.
We've only ever seen them on YouTube.
Oh, I see bullion.
Tim.
What?
I think, yes.
What?
Yankee Tim rounds are in.
They are.
Yeah, they actually look pretty good too.
Wonderful.
How much of those?
That's a good question.
We've got to go see.
Frosty.
Frosty, yes.
Nice.
Actually, we've run through 900 so far.
You have?
900?
Yeah.
Wow, that's awesome.
Well, you've got a bunch of tubes now,
so that's good.
Let me see here.
I'll just go on my private SD bullion price here.
They're selling them for 86, or 86.48,
so we sell them for 86.
Okay.
All right.
Come on, he's got a big wad of money now.
Come on.
You've got a big wad of money now.
I'd be happy with one.
Well, I've got to get one for Matt.
Of course.
Okay, yeah.
All right.
Good old Matt gets one.
I'll get one for Woody.
All right.
Woody sold me his motorcycle,
so I've got to get one for Matt.
That's a nice-looking coin, though.
It is.
Beautiful coin.
They did a phenomenal job with it.
Yep.
Very, very happy with it.
And it was Highland Mint that actually minted those.
Really good mint.
Nice job.
Yeah.
Should I put the Yankee side on or the other guy?
The other guy.
He's the obverse, I'm the reverse.
And we know you like to have the obverse on the front,
showing.
And he gets all upset with me
when I put the maple leaf in front of the queen or king,
don't you?
Yeah.
You get upset with that.
Well.
I love the maple leaf.
Yeah, they're pretty.
Nice-looking.
I love the reverse on the Britannia.
You get upset there, too.
I put the Britannia on the front.
Well, the Britannia is the only one I usually put up front.
Give it to your wife.
Let her hold it.
Yeah, let her hold it.
She's going to take it as soon as we walk out the door.
Usually, I can look at it, but I can't touch it.
I'm touching it today.
Look, but don't touch it.
Is that the rules for silver and gold in your house?
You can look at it, just don't touch it.
It's okay, it's short-lived.
It was nice.
How long did it take to get those?
Did you have to wait a month or so?
It actually took a long time.
They had run out.
He said they had to order another 5,000.
Yes, they did.
There you go.
Perfect.
Appreciate it, man.
All right.
Well, thank you.
I really appreciate it.
Take care.
And thank you, too.
Thank you so much.
Is that Harry?
You're watching Harry?
This isn't my channel.
Why aren't you watching my channel?
Did you put that on?
No.
Bye-bye.
Thanks for watching.
You
