Thank you all so much for Subscribing to my channel!
I really could not have done it without you guys! I have been pushing hard for years on youtube and now I finally got my 100,000 Subscribers Silver Play button!
I am currently planning on releasing 5 videos every week indefinitely! I have so many things happening over the next few months but what I am most pumped for is my next trip to India starting November 1!
Please let me know in the comments if you want to see me do maybe some money/food challenges to change up the content a little.
At the moment I am filming restaurants while in Miami, filming travel vlogs on the road and doing travel guides and top 10s about cities and countries. What do you like the most? What do you want to see more of?
Are you ready to open this thing? I'm ready. It's been how long? A year?
I think it's over a year now. It's a year old $100 bottle of wine.
I think maybe even more. Okay. I don't remember but we were drunk when we bought it.
What's up guys? David Hoffman here from David's Been Here. Today I'm with my father and we're
opening up a $100 bottle of Napa wine because we're celebrating 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.
I finally got my award, my plaque. Hold this for a second. Let's open this thing.
So when you open it, you have a little letter right here from the CEO
right there and inside, voila. Guys, it's taking me how long to get here?
You deserve it. You worked hard to get here.
Well, I got to get to the million soon. Wow. Look at this thing.
Do you get one at $250 or no? No, you get a million.
Million. You get a gold one. It's like a lot bigger than this.
Next goal. Look at that. Incredible. Wow. Thank you for subscribing because without you,
I wouldn't be here today. I wanted to make this video because I want to celebrate with my father
who's been my biggest supporter, my biggest fan, supported me when I was completely broke.
I was subscriber number one. Yeah, right.
Actually, I tell everybody about you. I know, I know. You are my biggest fan,
so we're going to celebrate this $100 bottle because I can't wait.
It's called La Castellana and it's from which winery is it?
It's Super Tuscan and it's from Castelo de Amorosa.
So let's open this up. We're going to see what a $100 bottle of wine tastes like
and I love how they put the wax on top. So I've been on YouTube,
I think better of eight years now, eight years and it's taken me.
Yeah, you just do that, right? Really? No, I don't think so.
It's going to open. Ready?
Just like that. Wow.
Interesting. I didn't know you could open wine like that.
So I've been on YouTube for eight years and really it's been the past year that I went nuts
and I started, you know, completely focusing on YouTube. That's my main business.
My goal, my ultimate goal is to get to a million right now.
What I do is I release about five videos a week between restaurants in Miami,
because that's the content I want to make while I'm in Miami, guides like top tens,
et cetera, of different destinations I've been to.
And then I also make travel guides or travel vlogs while I'm traveling.
So like right now, I'm going to go back to India.
I'm going to make about 40 plus videos about seven different cities in India.
And then after that, I'll probably make, you know,
guides about each place, like top tens in each city.
So let's cheers, dad.
This is a first hundred K. Thank you, guys.
Let's get to a million.
Oh my God. No, it's the best.
No, it's too good. We have to drink the whole bottle.
This is good wine.
I think it was 127.
Yeah, it was a little more.
We need to go back here.
Yeah. So if you guys don't know, my father loves wine.
So send him wine.
His address is in the description below.
But I'll share it with you because you like wine.
I love wine.
I actually like beer more now, but that's another story.
And if you guys don't know, getting to 100,000 subscribers,
there's only 50,000 people in the world who have done that, which is crazy.
I think it's like 70,000 right now, but that's insane.
Only 70,000 people in the whole world got to 100K.
And how many people are on YouTube?
Yeah, I think it's 4 billion right now.
4 billion?
No, not 4 billion. I'm crazy.
Like 2 billion.
Wow.
And 2 billion.
If you follow David, send him some, you know, some comments on this and congratulate him.
I mean, he's worked hard for this.
And with him working hard and with you guys supporting him, this is the result.
And it's great.
This is Uncle Luciano, in case you haven't met him before.
No one's met him yet.
You'll be stopped like me.
Oh, you are Uncle Luciano for David.
Did you know they stopped me?
You know, I've been stopped so many times now.
Like, I know you, and he says, what do you mean?
You're David's father. You're in the videos.
So my dad's going to tell you a little story of how I started about 10 years ago
and the struggles that we've been through in this journey to make this work, right?
Right. The craziest thing with David is that he's always had a dream to do this
and in the beginning, we really didn't know what we were doing.
And what I can tell you is that we tried all kinds of things.
I mean, we built Instagram and YouTube did not exist at the time.
We were just starting, right?
I mean, YouTube existed, but it wasn't the beginning.
And so we were working everything out of a web page.
And I don't know, but I think we built like 10 web pages.
I mean, we spent quite a bit of money and effort and we tried right.
We tried left. We tried up.
We tried down and it didn't work this way.
But slowly, gradually, we started figuring out.
I didn't figure it out.
David figured out how to make this go and how to make it work.
And all I can say to you is if you're watching this video is that
if you're trying to build a presence and a business in YouTube and Instagram,
you're going to go through some struggles.
And, you know, it's all trial and error.
And eventually, you get the hang of it and you start building.
But it's quite a bit of an effort in the beginning.
You got to have a dream and you got to hang on to that dream.
Otherwise, you know, I think it's if you don't have a dream,
you're not going to make this happen.
It's that simple.
It's it just takes big, big dream and you have to lock onto it and just keep going.
And I encourage you, if you have a big dream,
to keep going and just pursue it because eventually it happens.
Cheers.
Well, I was going to add on that.
But basically, I think the key.
Wow, this is so good.
I'm going to drink the whole bottle.
The key with this is to avoid people telling you you can't.
That's that's the first thing I remember in the beginning.
Everybody told me I couldn't do it.
And what was I doing and why was I doing it?
And there was too many people saying, you know, why?
Second thing is don't do it for anybody but yourself.
Whatever you're doing.
Don't do it for anybody but yourself.
Third thing is to never stop and don't be afraid to fail
because I failed probably this I feel like 10 times.
It took me like nine years or eight years to become self-sustainable,
meaning I can actually pay my life with this business
before I was basically living off credit cards
and really getting into debt and getting deep into it to make it work.
And I think having kids changed everything and made me think a lot,
you know, really visualize what I want to do and where I want to go.
And and now I have a clear vision.
Like my goal right now is a million subscribers.
Get that in a year.
Get that by 2019.
In 2019, a million subscribers.
And I have a few different strategies of how I'm going to do it.
But everything else comes.
Financially, everything comes.
And number one, in terms of growing and everything,
is create content non-stop, like never stop.
And how does that work?
Well, you film during the day, you edit at night,
you film during the day, edit at night,
take photos, everything and just keep going.
Everybody's asking me how I do it with two kids.
Well, it's easy.
At nine to midnight, I'm editing.
I release the video the next day.
It's sort of how it works.
And then I film four times a week, etc.
And I try my best to make it happen and release five things a week.
That's what I really want to do.
Five things every single week.
You know, a mix of videos, but always food travel related.
And yeah, and that's my story.
But to the next million.
To the next million.
I don't want to ramble too much here.
No, no.
You can ramble as much as you want.
You deserve it.
We deserve a lot of things, right?
Good.
Good things.
Good things always.
Patience.
And I think patience is the biggest thing.
But discipline.
You've been very disciplined.
And that's a great quality to have.
Discipline just, you know, it's...
They were saying, I heard this somewhere.
I don't know where.
That when you're persistent and consistent, the results will come.
So you got to be persistent and consistent.
And it doesn't matter what anybody thinks.
Just keep going.
Exactly.
And that's what you've been doing.
You didn't care what people thought.
Nunca.
I've always believed that you could do this.
When you say I'm your biggest supporter, I think not only you mean it.
That I'm your biggest supporter because I'm your dad.
Because I'm the biggest supporter because I share the dream with you.
I share the fact that I want you to succeed and be successful at this.
So I've had people tell me, what is your son doing?
And I've had to come out and kind of defend you.
And defend the whole project.
Because you have a dream and you keep going.
And it's not easy.
I mean, I get challenged and criticized as a father sometimes.
But I don't tell you these things.
But they don't get it.
That's the thing.
Most people don't get it, Dad.
Listen, the naysayers will always be out there.
Nothing ever great has ever been built without a great dream.
And a great deal of sacrifice and discipline.
And nothing great ever has been built in history without that.
Salute.
Cheers, guys.
Thank you for watching.
If you like this video, just give it a thumbs up.

And I'll see you in India.
Incredible India.
David, I can't believe it.
We finished it.
We said we were going to have like a glass.
And we...
I mean, it's so good we finished it all.
Salute.
