I had a long day ahead of me, as I’d be flying from Kozhikode International Airport to Doha, and then Doha to Miami for a grand total of 24 hours in transit. I’d be flying with Qatar Airways, the best airline in the world. They have the best economy class I’ve ever flown on. It was 12:30 a.m. and my flight didn’t board until 2.
I went through security, got my boarding pass, and continued through more security, and then got access to the Qatar Airways Business Class lounge. I was flying economy but because I have platinum with American Airlines, I can access all One World lounges around the world. I was able to eat and get some water there before calling my family.
They have a few stores and duty-free shops, as well as handicrafts in the airport. I was planning on sleeping on the flight. I was super tired and I knew they would wake me up for the in-flight meal.
To my surprise, they upgraded me to business class! Onboard the plane, they gave me a wine menu and a food menu. I went with some wine and some egg masala. I slept the whole way and then we landed in Doha. I had a 3-hour connection there.
I rode in the Qatar Airways business class bus. I headed through security and headed to the business class lounge. They have great food and a sleep area. They also have showers! I took a quick shower to freshen up and then headed to my gate for my 16-hour flight to Miami!
I was riding in an A350-900 with a 3-3-3 configuration. I had a window seat and I couldn’t wait to start the flight. Qatar Airways really has the best economy class in the world, and their menu always includes an Indian option and alcohol. They also have the best entertainment options with over 4,000 movies and TV shows to choose from, including Hollywood and Indian movies.
For breakfast, I went with some lamb stew, which was my second breakfast! It came with mashed potatoes. It was nice and creamy and also came with bread, fruit salad, and a dessert.
With 14 hours to go, I decided to get some sleep. With 2 hours left until landing, I was excited to land.
Kerala is one of my favorite trips ever. I’m so glad I focused on one state instead of bouncing around to several different ones. This was a road trip and really allowed me to see the state. It also opened my eyes to more of what India has to offer and truly changed my life. I loved every moment of it!

So when you go on business class with Qatar, they also have a business class bus.
This is it. It's like I'm in a jet.
Good evening everyone, this is David Hoffman from David's Been here in Calicut, Kerala,
India. I just completed my two-week journey across God's own country. It was actually 12 full days,
but two days of flying. Today I have a long day ahead of me. I'm traveling from Calicut
all the way to Miami via Qatar. Five-hour flight, three-hour connect, 16-hour flight. So total
right there is 24 hours. 24 hours in transit to get from Kerala all the way to my home in Miami.
I'm tired of even thinking about it. I want to tell you all about God's own country on this
journey. Let's get in the Uber and let's go. Hello. So Calicut International Airport is about a 40
minute drive south. And today I'm flying with Qatar Airways again. Obviously that's how I got
here. It's the best airline for sure. It's the best airline in the world, especially for economy.
If you're traveling economy, you got to go with Qatar Airways. A big reason I chose Calicut to
fly out of is because they fly out of four different destinations in Kerala. I think it's
kind of the reason I didn't fly out of there is because they didn't have it on the day I needed
or it was sold out. So I had to fly out of Calicut. It's all good though. We're almost there. We're
about 10 minutes away. Yeah, I'm super tired guys. I mean, it's 12 30 at night and I don't even
board until 2, 2 20. So it's going to be fast. Once you get there, you have to have your passport out,
security outside, get in Qatar Airways line, the whole shebang, you know, security, security,
security, security. So you're finally in and then you go. All right guys, I'll see you inside the
airport. And this is Calicut International Airport. As soon as I arrived, I went through security,
got my boarding pass, went through another security, and then I got access to the Qatar
Airways Business Class Lounge. I'm not flying business class, I'm flying economy, but because
I have planning with American Airlines, I get to go access all the lounges of one world,
everywhere around the world. Thank God. It was great. I went inside, got some water, got some
food, called my family. Now we're about to board. Before we board, I want to talk to you about this
airport. So this is Calicut International Airport, also known as Garipur Airport. It opened on April
13th, 1998. It's the third busiest airport in Kerala after the airports of Kochi and Trivandrum.
13 passenger airlines including SpiceJet, Qatar Airways, and Indigo fly out of the airport.
They fly to Doha, Bangalore, Jeddah, Dubai, Riyadh, Delhi, Chennai, and Abu Dhabi. And yeah,
I mean, a few stores, duty-free shops. They also have this place called Namaste right there.
They sell like crafts. So I mean, if you're looking for crafts and you didn't buy it in the
city, you can buy it there. I'm pretty good. I already bought all the things I need. Yeah,
so we have a five-hour flight right now. I'm going to get in. I'm going to pass out,
have a window seat, and the flight is completely full. Everybody's going to sleep on this flight,
3 a.m. flight. You get there like at 5 in the morning in Doha time. So yeah, it's going to be
a night flight. Everything's going to be off. They serve you food. That's the only problem
though. They're going to wake you up for that, but whatever. I'm going to try to sleep on my eye
mask and I'm out. All right, guys, let's go to the flight. Thank you, my friend. Thank you.
Good news. They upgraded me to business class. Yay, 1T. That is amazing. That is so amazing.
What's up, man? How are you doing? Hey, how are you doing? Good morning. So when you come to
Qatar Airways, they give you two menus. Wine. So that's wine. Not really wine. That's like
sweet wine. They have brandy. Pretty amazing. And here is the menu, business class menu.
So I think I'm going to go with some wine tonight. On business class, I haven't drank at all on this
trip. I kept it almost zero. I had like one beer the whole trip. Confiture. So I think I'm going
to go with something delicious tonight. The StumpJump Shiraz from Australia for dinner. Egg
masala. Good morning, everyone. Well, so when you go on business class with Qatar,
they also have business class bus. This is it. It's like I'm in a jet.
7 in the morning. Just arrived at Haman International Airport. As soon as I got in
pass security, I went straight to the business class lounge. The reason I have access is because
I'm planning with Americans. So I have access to like all one world lounges around the world.
If you're a business class, then obviously you can come here. And the best part about this place,
besides the food, the sleep area and the lounge, is that they have showers. I'm going to take a
quick shower and freshen up before I get on the flight to the south. Got a shower. I love this
place. I love Qatar Airport. I'm going to take a quick shower and head to the flight. Well,
amazing shower. That was so refreshing. I feel way better. So we have to go to C5. So over here,
C, D and E. Over there's A. Over there's B. C5 is my gate. They're already open.
All right. 16 hour flight. You guys ready for this?
And just like that, we're on the flight. This is an A350, 333 configuration. I'm in row 27K. So
I have a window seat. It's a 15 hour and 45 minute flight. Really long flight. Long, huh? I've done
this. I think this is my sixth or seventh time doing this round trip. And yeah, I'm excited
because Qatari Airways economy class is the best in the world. I've said this so many times. I just
can't stress enough how good it is. I mean, endless entertainment, delicious food. If you like Indian
food, you'll love this because every time you eat, there's an Indian option. And then yeah,
there's alcohol as well. So if you want to drink alcohol, you got it. All right, guys. So I'm going
to start watching a movie and get ready for the flight. We're taking off in roughly 30 minutes.
See you in the air.
Super breakfast everyone. That's it guys. We're here in Miami. It is over. I'm so tired, but I'm
so happy to be home. Can't wait to see my family. And yeah, we traveled from Calicut to Miami via
Doha with Qatari Airways business class and economy class. 24 hours in total. 5 hours, 3 hours,
and 16 hours. Guys, if you love this video, please give me a thumbs up.
