Bible Animated Stories The Wedding at Cana is a well-known story from the New Testament of the Bible, found in the Gospel of John, specifically in John 2:1-11. In this story, Jesus and his disciples are invited to a wedding feast in the town of Cana in Galilee. During the celebration, the host ran out of wine, which was a major social embarrassment in that culture. Mary, the mother of Jesus, approaches him and tells him about the problem. Jesus instructs the servants to fill six large stone water jars with water. Miraculously, he turns the water into the finest wine, which amazes the host and guests at the wedding. This event is considered the first recorded miracle performed by Jesus and is often seen as a demonstration of his divine power. The Wedding at Cana is a significant story in the Christian tradition, symbolizing Jesus' ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary and the abundance of God's blessings.

Once upon a time, in a beautiful village in Cana, there was a big wedding celebration.
The wedding was taking place in a summer garden with decorations, music, and guests.
The groom, his bride, and their families were all very excited about the big day.
A lot of work had gone into making this wedding as special a celebration as it was.
The bride was wearing a beautiful white dress, and the groom was wearing his finest robes.
They were both overcome with happiness, and this day was the perfect celebration of their
true love.
The guests were enjoying themselves, laughing and chatting.
Both adults and children were at the wedding, and all were having a wonderful day.
This is delicious.
And the wine is good too.
I've never tasted such a good wine.
Get me more wine.
Yeah, me too.
Come inside, quick.
What?
What happened?
I think we have run out of wine.
What?
That can't be right.
What's going on here?
Why aren't you guys serving wine to the guests?
We... we... we have run out of wine.
We can't run out of wine at a wedding.
It's embarrassing.
I'll go and speak to the cooks and the servants.
Maybe they have some more wine in the kitchen.
How could this happen?
Luckily, Jesus, the Son of God, happened to be invited to this very wedding.
He and his disciples had been invited, and were enjoying the celebrations just like everybody else.
Jesus' mother, Mary, was also there, but she wasn't as distracted by the fun of the party
as everybody else was.
Mary noticed the guests talking, and realized that the wine was about to run out.
Mary was well acquainted with the host, because she saw it as her responsibility to help with the problem.
Look, Jesus, my dear son, they have no more wine.
But Jesus could not understand why it was his duty to get involved in such a matter.
Mary knew Jesus was special, and he could help.
Mother, why do you involve me?
My hour has not yet come.
But Mary knew it was Jesus' time to show how truly amazing his gifts as the Son of God were.
She turned to the servers, and asked them to do whatever Jesus told them to.
Yes, madam?
Do not worry, my son, your time has come.
Trust yourself in this matter, and show people what amazing miracles you are capable of.
Jesus accepted his mother's words, and so prepared to do what he could to save this
special occasion from failure.
Fill the jars with water.
Water?
Yes, water.
This doesn't make sense.
Why are we filling these jars with water?
I don't know, but let's do as he says.
Jesus asked the servants to fill six jars with water, and they did as he asked.
He told them to take a cup of the water to the head waiter.
The servants took some wine in a glass and brought this to the head waiter.
Huh?
Where did you get this from?
This is the most delicious wine I've ever tasted.
Where on earth did it come from?
Where is the bridegroom?
You are truly amazing.
Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, they start
serving an inferior one.
But you, sir, have kept the good wine until now.
The waiters started the wine, and the guests at the wedding were amazed, too.
They had never tasted anything like this before.
Just when it looked like a disaster had been about to strike the festivities, Jesus'
power had saved the day.
Now they were drinking the best wine they had ever tasted.
This wine is so good.
Where did it come from?
I don't know, but it's the best wine I've ever had.
The groom of the wedding was overjoyed that he didn't have to worry about the party
running out of wine anymore.
He was able to enjoy the rest of his wedding without any stress.
I can't believe it.
You have performed an incredible miracle, and now we have the best wine for our guests.
Thank you, Jesus.
The servants who had filled the jars with water were amazed, too.
They had seen the water turn into wine right before their very eyes.
Did you see that?
The water turned into wine.
Jesus has performed a miracle.
I can't believe it.
It's amazing.
He truly possesses incredible power.
With this miracle, both the people at the wedding and the followers of Jesus, who had
come with him to the wedding, understood that Jesus was even more important than they could
have guessed.
His ability to perform miracles meant that he was indeed blessed with the Holy Spirit.
Wow.
I did not know Jesus was capable of performing such incredible miracles.
If he can perform such a miracle as this, then what else might he be capable of?
Yet Jesus remained humble, even as all those around him showered him in wonder and praise.
I am here to spread the word of God,
and only with time we shall see what miracles may come about as I do this.
His mother Mary was proud of him, and glad that he had used his divine power to bring
joy to the people on this day.
As the celebrations continued, Jesus and his disciples quietly slipped away from the party.
They had many more adventures ahead of them, and many more miracles to perform.
Come on, let's go.
We have more work to do.
And with that, Jesus and his disciples quietly left the wedding,
and made their way out of the beautiful town of Cana, ready to continue their journey onwards,
and spread love and the message of God all throughout the land.
The end.
