A Visit To Strasburg! 4/2 - 4/3/26

On 4/2 and 4/3/26, I visited the Strasburg Railroad for the first time! On 4/2, as soon as I arrived, I caught one of the Thomas dummy units being unloaded and delivered to Strasburg from a flatbed truck, which was a pretty rare sight to see for a first time visit. I was also alerted that on 4/3 at around 12 PM, the Colonial Crafts rail car sitting at the East Strasburg Station was going to be moved to Paradise to be interchanged with Amtrak who would later take it to Albany, NY. The next day, I chased Strasburg “Decapod” # 90 along the small Strasburg system and caught it at a few spots and after that, I saw the Colonial Crafts special move and caught it at Esbenshade Road and Paradise. Then, I caught #90 back at the Red Caboose Motel and then at East Strasburg which I would later stay at to check out and pay a visit to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania which had some pretty awesome and interesting equipment preserved. After all that, I saw # 90 a few more times and then headed back home. It sure was a great first time visit to the Strasburg Railroad!
