Heavy Steam Freight! Reading & Northern T-1 2102 Frac Sand Special Port Clinton to Tamaqua (5/8/26)

On May 8th, 2026, Andy Muller and the R&N ran a 30-car loaded sand train from Port Clinton to Tamaqua with steam locomotive No. 2102 as the power and an America 250 themed caboose bringing up the markers. As usual the big T-1 put on a great show with this fully loaded ~4300 ton train (minus engine and tender). A minor mechanical hiccup near Molino prompted an unscheduled stop to sort out, which resulted in an absolutely fantastic shot of the brawny northern accelerating her heavy train through Millers Crossing, locomotive booster engaged.
