Hello everyone. I'll show you how to make passion fruit kumquat tea. I make a batch that lasts a
whole month. It's super convenient. On a hot day, when you get home, just grab some for a sweet and
tart, refreshing iced tea. It's really that easy, right? No need to brew it every single time.
Let's get started. First, let's brew the tea. I'm adding 20 grams of tea, about 4 tablespoons.
Then add a liter of water. Steep the tea for 10 minutes. Next, I'll wash the passion fruit
and kumquats. They're already clean, but you should wash them with salt. Add a teaspoon of
salt. Wash the kumquats well so the skins aren't bitter. That way, the tea will be fragrant and
not bitter. Once they're washed, drain them before slicing. For these kumquats, I'm using 200 grams.
Kumquats are also known as calamansi. Just slice them into halves or thirds. For larger ones,
cut them into thirds. After slicing, make sure to remove all seeds because if you leave them in,
it gets bitter. It will ruin the flavor of the passion fruit. Next, I'll go ahead and cut the
passion fruit. I'm using four large ones, about 400 grams. You should pick the ones that are very
ripe. The riper they are, the more fragrant and sweet. People usually make kumquat tea
using just kumquats alone, but if you mix kumquats with passion fruit,
the tea becomes incredibly fragrant. So fragrant and delicious, everyone! These two ingredients
blend perfectly together. Now add all the kumquats to the passion fruit and add half a cup of brown
sugar to this. For better taste, use rock sugar instead. It will have a subtle sweet finish.
Now add the tea we steeped earlier into this. Adjust the sugar to the amount of lime and kumquat.
This is 400 g passion fruit and 200 g kumquat. The total tartness is 600 g. So the sweet to sour
ratio is one to one. With 600 g of tartness, use 600 g of sugar for sweetness. But if you prefer
less sweet, just use half a kilo like me. It will have a nice sweet and sour taste. Just stir until
the sugar dissolves like this. Now, it is ready to drink right away. For each glass, add about
3-5 tablespoons. Depending on whether the glass is big or small. If you make a lot and cannot
finish at all. Put them into these small flan molds like this. Buy the flan containers that
have attached lids. These attached lids won't get lost when you wash them. It is very convenient.
Once in the molds, just close the lids. Store them in the freezer to use anytime.
Usually, I store them in the freezer for about a month. It tastes great. But in this hot weather,
I make a fresh batch every week. Just leave them in the freezer for about 7 or 8 hours.
Are they frozen? I'll take them out to show you shortly. I left them in there overnight.
They don't freeze solid, just a chewy consistency. It smells lovely. Open the lid and take a whiff.
It's chewy and melts quickly once you add it to a glass. Add it to your glass,
then pour in warm or plain water to taste. Stir it well and add a leaf on top.
And there you have a delicious glass of passion fruit tea.
That's it for now. See you all in the next video on our channel.
