50050 opens up out of Paignton! EE power working a staff charter to the South West. 27/02/26

Coverage of 50050 visiting Paignton providing some English Electric action on an otherwise quite spell in the South West.

The unusual workings consisted a private railtour with hired in Locomotive Services heritage diesels D213 'Andania' and 50050 'Fearless' to convey GWR staff and industry partners to various current and potential future temporary stabling locations for use during recent and upcoming engineering blockades. The loco hauled set took the the senior management from GWR, NR, GBRf, DFT and ORR, while a GWR IET 800036 'Dr Paul Stephenson' was chartered as part of the industry collaboration.
