Can Snipers Beat Us At Archery Shoot-off!!!!

Not getting ready for Vegas. I'm not getting ready for tack. I'm getting ready to put one of these through both lungs and pull up and if that's yours you found the right channel. Welcome back to the channel friends. Today's going to be epic. My long time and good friend Mr. Captain Firefighter Tyler Denham and I are at the archery range and we bump into the team at Mountain Forged. John Pinch and Matt Allwine. These two battle weekend after weekend for first place and second place at the NRL Hunter long range. These guys are both essentially snipers with rifles. Little did we know that they also can hold their own at archery. We are going to take them head on elk shape versus Mountain Forged and bring you along. The results are unbelievable. Now this is Josh's midlife crisis vehicle. We've done a whole video on it before. So you didn't need a sight then. What'd you go with? I'm a down pan guy and so he showed me that. So these guys get their bows set up in time. We are going to shoot with them and show you that two of the best guys in the business when it comes to is it NRL Hunter? First place and second place. Who gets first usually? The last couple months it's been me. The first couple months it was Matt. I think we're on a dead heat for the year. So okay who can shoot a bow better? I don't know. Last time we had a bow shoot off what happened? There was one time John beat me with a bow. Seriously? How about the most recent time? The most recent time. The most recent time. So you would leave that out. And it was that stupid. With his own bow? Yeah. How about when we shot up with your bow though? Okay you beat me with my bow. I beat him with his bow. That's fair. Oh this is great. How far? It looks like you got a ways to go. Oh that's Matt. We're getting there. Okay we're gonna start shooting the broadheads real quick. I've been a little slow. I had to teach Josh how to set bows up. Follow Tyler. While we're waiting for the boys to get their bows set up from MFJJ, Tyler and I decided to go fling a few arrows and talk a little trash. Tyler last time we shot this shot together Dan insulted firefighters. I can do that. I was one for two years. I apparently forgot about that. Very demanding job. I edited a podcast. I'd make YouTube videos. I'd work out. Do a little training. Just so you guys know I did firefight for a couple years but honestly I have so much respect for the profession. These guys know how to do so many things and they do their best work on a lot of people's worst days and I can't say enough good things about all you firefighters out there. Thank you for your service. I don't like that word. Yes or no? Looks like a 10 to me. Yeah that's an 8. You're serious? That's cool. I would say that's an 8. John drew a sick tag with a raffle. My hunt will end opening morning with a gun like 99 percent. Something's wrong. I kind of want to stretch it out. Maybe if it ends opening morning with a bow I'm stoked right? But if it doesn't that's cool too. But so I'm gonna I don't have a ton of time but I'm gonna go I'm gonna give it a week straight without touching a gun and then go for there. So I'm not all or nothing on this tag. I can't there's no I'm gonna kill the ground. Just got talked into that. No one shoots down pin. I've argued for down pins so much. Are you filming this? Matt will annoy you because he can he wins all those rifle stuff or his buddy John does but he actually picks up a bow about once a year. Usually wins. I think he could compete at pro. Like I think he could go legitimately. You'll see. And he's gonna talk the whole time. Got some games. No I'm asking what this is your game. I'm asking you. You both have killed stuff with bows. Yeah. You killed two bulls last year with a bow. Yeah. Plus a couple with rifles. You guys compete. The championship's in August. Yep. But today you guys need to be friends. You're team Mountain Forge. Versus team L-Shape. Okay. And we're gonna go best arrow. We'll go five targets. Best arrow wins. If we go to a shootout we'll go to a shootout. Do we get like a just set our bows up today like point spot or anything? Absolutely not. I haven't never shot this course. You live out here. Okay. I'm just checking. I wasn't asking for that. I was just checking. You pick our target. You shoot it. We're doing five targets today. I don't know. So how do we what's our shooting order then? Like I shoot then you make up a lot of rules. No I didn't know. You pick. I'm not making them up. I'm asking how you guys play this game. That's low. It broke so nice. I told you I need to add two extra yards. Nice spot dude. We started a company called Mountain Forge. We've been building the hunting rifles. Like custom long range rifles. Doing load development and getting them all dialed in for guys. I don't know. We're doing a bunch of stuff. Working on a new. Working on manufacturing on a handful of things. So slowly but surely. There's a lot of good guns out there. But we've also shot a ton. We win a lot of matches. So we know what it takes to shoot. We've set up a way too many guns. More than I'd like to admit. And so just taking all that experience into it. I'm not going to say there's. Some guys claim crazy. Quarter them away forever. A lot of those claims are kind of BS and they don't shoot. I've been shooting competitively for 10 probably and shot long range for 25 probably. Guys my whole life. Matt's set up more guns than anybody in the last few years. So just taking that competitiveness that we have and taking that into the gun world as well. Try to make good products and yeah. Sweet. So yeah. So how do we do here boys? We got the point. Pretty darn good for an Alconner when it's a caribou. The last couple that dropped out the bottom pretty hard. Big horn here off of the plywood through a little pocket like 70 something yards and we got a wind coming like this. Like this is gonna be really hard. It's tied two to two. It's all gonna come down to this last shot. Eight I think. Just tie right. There's. That's a problem. I think you need to hold on that wood. You need to hold on that wood. Touching Dan's arrow.
