You have two kids.
I do have two kids.
What is it like?
How are you loving it?
Do you have any parenting advice?
Because I will take any parenting advice,
any thoughts, any approaches.
The best advice, honestly, is,
and you know this as a parent,
there are so many moments that you experience
where you feel like it's impossible,
where it's a new challenge,
suddenly they're not sleeping at all at night,
and they're super riled up,
and you don't know how to handle the situation.
And something I learned really early on
is that that will pass.
Everything is momentary.
Like, just when you feel like you're being triggered,
it's impossible, I don't know how to solve this scenario,
they will change, and you'll get through it.
Well, history tells us that we can believe this
because we've had so many moments,
but somehow in the present,
I lose all ability to rationalize.
And I'm gonna picture Elijah
telling me that this is a moment,
and then I'll tell myself that history proves moments pass,
and I'm gonna, like, that's what I mean.
People can say something that changes your life forever,
and I need that.
Sure.
Okay, I watched Ready or Not 2.
Yes.
I am terrified of these movies, they are so scary.
Yes.
I love you in this movie.
Thank you.
You walk in, and it's like you're
Very in control.
15, 20 minutes in the movie,
and then Elijah walks in, and things change.
Yeah.
I love your presence in this movie.
It feels like you're walking in
like an old spaghetti restaurant.
Cool.
And it's sort of like, oh, this is somebody important,
and then you just take it off.
Wow.
I take off, I loved it.
Wow, thanks.
Yeah.
I mean, the challenge here is that my character,
the lawyer in the movie, he has no name.
Or that we know of.
He's also like a conductor of tidings, if you will.
I don't wanna give anything away.
Yeah, he's the one to come and articulate
what the rules of the game are.
So my job as an actor was really the exposition,
which is not always the easiest thing.
No.
Because it's a lot of dialogue and a lot of explaining,
and to do that in a way that hopefully is interesting,
and to find some sort of nuances in there
that give a sense of who this character might be,
because there's not a lot of information.
So that was the challenge.
Speaking of challenges,
we do weird food combos here on the show.
We love a viral trend,
we love what's going out on TikTok,
and we love when we hear somebody loves a weird food combo.
And so we just did one in honor of you.
We called your name out.
We said, this is me eating it.
Because we heard somewhere, Phil Rosenthal!
I'm such a fan, and I've never met him before.
Oh, you'll die!
He's the greatest guy.
What a national treasure.
Everybody loves Raymond, somebody feed Phil.
It's just wonderful.
Well, it turns out, and Phil and I are very honest,
like when we do weird food combos,
you should be.
I loved your weird food combo.
It's a bagel with hummus and sauerkraut.
When I bite into all of it, I get artichoke.
Sure, I think it depends probably
on the sauerkraut you're using.
Well, tell me what I can pick up from this.
Yeah, great.
Cheers.
Okay, cheers.
You're gonna get different notes,
depending on the hummus and the-
Artichoke, right?
It is a little bit, that's what you mean.
And the sauerkraut, so this is a very, very-
How did you even come across this one?
Literally what is in our kitchen.
So there's a bagel company that I like called Royo,
really high fiber bagels,
and then I just thought, well, what do we have?
I love hummus, we've got hummus in the house.
Very high in protein.
It is, and then I have a lot of sauerkraut,
because I love fermented foods,
and it's really good for our microbiome.
And you know what this is?
This is a health treat.
That's what this is.
It is, it's delicious.
And I love it, it's gotta be my lunch.
By the way, oh my God,
did you pass by people at a wedding in New Zealand?
I did, in Hobbiton, yeah.
There were some folks getting married in Hobbiton
when my family and I were visiting.
We were about to leave New Zealand,
and I said, we gotta go and see
this incredible, special, magical place.
We took the kids, and as we walked in,
this wedding was happening,
and I just thought, well, this is beautiful happenstance.
I have to say hello.
Okay, I'm so glad you did.
What was their reaction?
They were very shocked, and very excited.
They were like a hobbit in Hobbington
on our wedding day, this is so amazing.
For sure, but I also was very conscious
of not ruining their moment,
so I just popped in, gave them both a hug,
and then left, because it's not about me,
it's their wedding, you know?
And I love you in this film.
Oh, thank you.
And you are so good in it,
and very different than your other characters,
and I just love cheering you on so much.
Oh, true, thank you.
So, everybody, Ready or Not 2, Here I Come,
is in theaters now, Elijah.
I love you.
Oh, I love you so much.
