A Song of Wave｜One Sacrifice, A Lifetime of Freedom

A Song of Wave follows Xiao Han, who was sent to Canada as a child after his father, Chengjun Liu, was tortured to death in China for broadcasting messages supporting Falun Gong. As an adult, Xiao Han participates in a Toronto parade, holding his father’s portrait, remembering his courage and sacrifice. Chengjun and fellow practitioners had risked their lives to expose the truth about Falun Gong to Chinese viewers, defying the CCP through cut-in TV broadcasts. Despite their arrests and ultimate deaths, Xiao Han honors their legacy, feeling his father’s spirit live on in the freedom he now experiences in Canada.
