#Sinn #T50
The Sinn T50 Collection is a family of automatic diver’s watches that expands the brand's impressive existing diver watch portfolio. Sinn historically puts its timepieces through rigorous testing to verify their dependability, and the T50 series lives up to this standard. Each watch is waterproof to European diving equipment standards, so a diver can be sure of an excellent performance up to 500m diving depth (50 bar). The Sinn T50 watches are robust, reliable, masculine, and ready for an underwater adventure.
Core Features of the T50 Collection:
Cases on T50 models are all made from high-strength, bead-blasted titanium.
Each model in the collection features a captive diver’s bezel with minute ratcheting and a luminous key mark. It is very secure and cannot be moved unintentionally.
All of the Sinn T50 watches are waterproof and pressure-resistant to 500m diving depth (50 bar). This is certified by the DNV GL. Each watch meets the requirements for waterproofness, as set out in standard DIN 8310 and are tested based on European diving equipment standards EN 250/EN14143. The watches are also resistant to low pressure.
The waterproofing is further improved by the screw-fastened case back and screwable crown.
The T50 watches feature a sapphire crystal which has been coated with anti-reflective treatment on both sides.
All of the Sinn T50 watches are powered by an automatic self-winding movement of the calibre SW 300-1. It uses 25 bearing jewels and 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour to power the watch. The movement features a seconds stop function and is anti-magnetic as per DIN 8309.
The watches also have Ar-Dehumidifying Technology which enhances functional reliability and freedom from fogging.
The watches have a case diameter of 41mm, a lug width of 20mm and a case thickness of 12.3mm.

Hi guys and welcome back to my channel. Today we are featuring the absolutely gorgeous
Zinn T50. Now this is one of those watches you very rarely see. You get to see a lot of the
you know wonderful U50s and even now the U15s they're getting you know there's more of them
out there but the T50 is simply one of those models you very rarely see and it's a real shame
because I think it's a bit of a standout piece from the brand plus it's got its more kind of
unique look to it with its bezel design but to be fair I think the bezel kind of design originally
came out within the early 2012-ish I think it was when the T1 and T2 models were released
but it still looks very cool. The UK retail price for one of these is coming in at approximately
£2,975 but before I get too far into this review I've got to say a massive thank you
to the team over at First Class Watches at Kenilworth for allowing me to review this piece.
So many cool interesting brands some you may know some you may not know so if you're in the
Midlands area I strongly recommend popping into the shop. If you're a little bit further afield
well don't worry I'll leave a link in the description and at the bottom of the page now
all I ask if you do contact them please mention the channel. So let's talk sizes.
The actual case size is 40mm but the bezel size is 41mm so it overhangs us that tiny little bit.
The thickness of the watch is 12.4mm the lug to lug is 47.2mm and the strap size on this one
is coming in at 20mm. Now the dial just looks superb with pure absence of any kind of colour.
I think it gives it a really unique look we're used to seeing like you know like a
T yeah sorry a U58 with so much more colour to it where this just looks like it absolutely you know
it's it all disappears it's almost like a void for colour. It looks very very cool you have these
very nice kind of sword hands on here you've got the matte black background with the printed on
our minute track. The actual lume on this watch I have to say is very cool because it's gone
they've gone for a bi-lume so the hour hand and minute and hour track are all in green whereas
the minute hand and the lume pip are in blue giving it a really kind of diver focus kind of
look to it. We do have the date window over here the three o'clock position we've got the
and 500 meters so this is actually an NV what is it DNV certified diver so it is I think very
very cool. As we come past that we are greeted with a sapphire crystal this one does feature
AR coating on both sides so quite often in certain lights it just simply disappears it's almost like
you could pick those hands off that dial it really does but they've done such a good job
with the AR coating on there it looks very very cool I think. Now past that we have oh one thing
I would say about the sapphire crystal it is a domed sapphire but it looks like they've gone
for a single dome on there that's why you get a very very heavy distortion at these kind of oblique
angles you know straight on you simply don't notice that it's only when you start coming
really you know kind of cute angles but you do kind of notice that is only a single dome on there.
The bezel the bezel has kind of a couple of cool features first of all it's a tagmented bezel so
what that means is it's had Zinn's proprietary case hardening done to it so it should be a very
hard to scratch bezel. The system to operate the bezel instead of being a standard one where you
simply turn it like you do on many others you actually have to press it down so if you look
when I press this bezel down you can see it go move down like that and then you can move it
it's a 60 click bezel once it's in position obviously it does not move so if I move that
round it's locked there's you know it won't go anywhere if you try and turn it normally you do
have to press it down and turn it's actually relatively quite easy to do he says as I'm
trying to turn it around here let's line it back up and there you go lines up perfectly it also
features Zinn's captive system so you can see there's tiny little screws going around there
what you do is you back off the screws I find you'll even want to try out 12 o'clock and just
back them out don't back them out all the way but don't actually remove them I should say if you do
want to remove the bezel for cleaning or whatever just back them out a few turns on each side and
then you should find that it will just simply release the bezel it's um you know it makes it a
much more kind of easier way to you know sterilize your watch if you want to clean it or whatever
than if you had say you know well actually that's a captive bezel if you had a standard type of
bezel where you have to use a case knife to remove it it's a much easier way also it gives it better
protection if you were to go diving with it and you do hit it with some coral or something like
that though nine times out of ten the only times when people do knock their bezel off is when they
hit them with a door you know is more kind of likely than while actually diving so you have
got on that on there the actual minute marks on there have been machined in so you have got you
know kind of the the paint they use simply won't just rub off you know if it hadn't been kind of
recessed down like this it makes it a little bit more kind of secure the lume pip on there i believe
is the same one they use on the U50 and so forth so it's a nice big block of lume to be fair the
actual bezel design i say was i think we first seen this one in i think it was on the T1 and T2
models they were round about 2012 ish i think they came out sometime around about that time
but that's when we first seen this kind of design the case of the watch and the bezel and so forth
are all made of titanium i believe it's grade 5 but i could be mistaken on that but it means
it's incredibly light um it's one of these it feels half not even half it feels like a third
of the weight of this one here i believe they state the head of the watch is around about 50
i think it's 53 grams so it makes it incredibly light but titanium itself has been bead blasted
you have got drilled lugs here which means changing out um you know the actual strap on
this watch is very easy and you may have noticed this here now this is one of Zinn's other kind of
techs it's called their AR dehumidifying system so it's basically these are like copper sulfite
crystals finely ground and what that does is they absorb any moisture so as part of this system
when they case up this watch they put it into a machine and then kind of sucks out as you know
as much of the air as it can and pumps in an inert gas the reason for doing that is there is moisture
inside your watch no matter what and a simple way of proving this though i wouldn't recommend
is put your you know watch down in on you know on some snow or you know in some snow or put an ice
cube on there leave it there for a minute or so and you will see a moist yeah the moisture gather
underneath the dial yeah it's not recommendable to do that but on these watches it's simply
there isn't any and the inert gas hatch i believe it has thinner molecules than normal air so they
also replace the seals on there as well so it's kind of a cool system but it makes it a little
bit more awkward for third party companies like watchmakers like myself to actually service these
units but it is something i'm looking into so anyway there is that to be aware of it's also
low pressure rated the as we come past this on this side we do have the crown over here at four
o'clock position as you can see they've actually milled in a bit of a flat surface there to allow
to seat better and it's a nice size crown to be fair it's nice and easy to turn screw down crown
as you would expect so you can see you've got plenty of thread back there to actually screw to
will it go in first time yep there you go and it is signed now as we flick this one over it is
actually a solid case back oh it is grade five you see it there as it do have a solid case back
but underneath there they feature the sw 301 movement by solita now this is its top grade
version so you basically have a standard eleborn and then top grade and you also get full chronometer
spec ones now this one though top grade you should expect to see chronometer specs from it i put this
on the time grapher and it was running i think plus three seconds mosins i find always do um the
movement itself 25 joules ran about 56 hours of power reserve and yeah no problem at all it's a
very good movement you get this kind of movement featured also in migas and more kind of like
mid-tier to higher tier watches it's very solid the big difference as well from things like the
when you wind it it's got a completely different winding system in in comparison with only a single
reverser and you can you know one of these when they've been freshly serviced you can't feel when
you wind it it doesn't feel like you're winding anything they are that good now past that we do
feature this silicon strap from sin this is probably their more entry level strap if you
go one up from this you can then get the silicon strap with the deploy yeah the class fitted to it
so you got micro adjustment on there but you can also get it with a bracelet i believe as well
so obviously it hikes up the price a bit more because i believe it's a full titanium bracelet
now you can see here is that titanium i believe it will be this side buckle we do have two keepers
but they are both floating keepers for myself i'd probably remove one of them and just have a
single one because i always find if you've got two one seems to fit snugly and your one just
seems to rise up so i would probably remove one of them myself but overall these are very good
straps let me put this one on my wrist so you've got an idea how it looks quick wrist check i'm
wearing a zin 256 which i still need to review and bob has a long jeans conquest there which is
a very cool watch zoom out for a second quickly take this off here we go my wrist size is
approximately seven and a quarter inches works out around about 18.5 centimeters i believe it is
and that's it on my wrist i really like this watch i can you know it'd be cool on the bracelet for
sure but also i can picture like a black leather strap with this one would just look really really
cool nonetheless anyway guys let me know what you think of this one but most importantly
you'll stay safe out there take care bye
