How are you feeling today?
Oh, thank you for sharing that with me.
Today, I'm feeling good.
I'm feeling so good,
and I'm so happy to be here with all of you today.
Now, I wrote a message on our board
but first, let me find my puh, puh, puh, puh, pointer,
my Circle Time pointer.
Now, let's read the message on the board.
I wrote two sentences.
Let's read them.
Today, we will write.
That's our first sentence.
We will write today.
We will practice writing letter D.
Let's read our second sentence.
Today, we will draw.
Today, we will draw the shape of the week.
Do you remember what it is?
Okay, don't tell me yet.
Let's wait till we get to the shape of the week.
So, let's read our sentences one more time.
Today, we will write.
Today, we will draw.
Wow, those sentences have a message for us.
They let us know what we are going to do today
during Circle Time.
We will write and draw when we get to that part
of the Circle Time lesson.
So, make sure you're ready.
You have your paper or your notebook
and whatever you're going to write with.
If you need to pause the video, you can do that too.
Now, let's start with the days of the week.
Are you ready?
There's Sunday and there's Monday,
there's Tuesday and there's Wednesday,
there's Thursday and there's Friday,
and then there's Saturday.
Days of the week, days of the week,
days of the week, days of the week,
days of the week, one more time.
There's Sunday and there's Monday,
there's Tuesday and there's Wednesday,
there's Thursday and there's Friday,
and then this Saturday. Days of the week. Days of the week. Days of the week. Days
of the week. Days of the week. We did it! Now let's find out what day it is today.
Hmm what day do we write and draw on? Let's go over to our board. Yesterday was
Thursday. Dance party Thursday. I had so much fun yesterday. Did you have fun?
Great. Now let's go down one. Oh today is Friday. F for Friday. Today is Friday.
Today is Friday. Today is Friday. All day long. Yes! Today is Friday. Today is Friday.
Today is Friday. All day long. Yes! Yes! Today is Friday. F for Friday. Can you say Friday?
Can you say today is Friday? Great. Let's put Friday on the board. Now we can read it.
Let's read this sentence. Today is Friday. Let's read it one more time together. Today
is Friday. That's right and on Fridays we write and draw or we do one or the other.
Today we're going to do both. Alright let's go down to our letter of the week. Oh what's
the letter of the week? I already said it. Do you remember what I said? The letter of
the week. We have uppercase D, lowercase d. Let's practice our uppercase D and lowercase
d. We will practice writing it. Now remember every letter makes a sound and D says d. Can
you make that sound? D for dinosaur. D for duck. D for donkey. D for donuts. Letter D.
Now let's practice writing the letter D but before we write it today let's go over the
lines that letter D has. Letter D uppercase has a straight line and a curved line. Lowercase
D has a straight line and a curved line but they look different so we will have to write
them a little different. Are you ready to practice? Great. Meet me over at the drawing
and writing board. I will use my blue marker to practice writing letter D. Now watch me
first. I'm going to start with uppercase D first. Watch first then you're going to try.
Here we go. Start at the top, line down, go back to the top and curve to the bottom. That's
uppercase D. Now you give it a try. We'll do it together. Are you ready? Oh and remember
if you don't have anything to write with it's okay. You can practice in the air. Alright
let's go. Start at the top everyone and go down, go back to the top and curve to the
bottom. Let's try it again. Start at the top, go down, go back to the top, curve to
the bottom. Let's keep going. Try it again. Start at the top, go down, go back to the
top and curve to the bottom. Let's try again. Start at the top, go down, go back to the
and curve to the bottom.
Ooh, one more time.
Start at the top, go down,
go back to the top, and curve to the bottom.
Uppercase D.
You just practiced uppercase D.
Now let's do lowercase d.
Okay, get ready for lowercase d.
I'll still use my blue marker.
Watch first, I'll do one first,
and then we'll do it together.
Here we go.
Start at the top, go down,
go to the middle, and curve to the bottom.
Lowercase d.
Now you give it a try.
Let's do it together.
Start at the top, go down,
go to the middle, curve to the bottom.
Ooh, let's do it again.
Start at the top, go down,
go to the middle, curve to the bottom.
Let's do it again.
Start at the top, go down,
go to the middle, curve to the bottom.
Let's go again.
Another one.
Start at the top, go down,
go to the middle, and curve to the bottom.
One more.
Start at the top, go down,
go to the middle, curve to the bottom.
Lowercase d.
You did it.
Now you just keep on practicing,
and every time you practice,
you'll continue to get better.
We practice writing uppercase d and lowercase d.
Great work.
Keep working hard.
Now let's go back to our board
and go down to our shape of the week.
Who remembers, who remembers
what the shape of the week is?
What the shape of the week is?
Who remembers, who remembers
what the shape of the week is?
What the shape of the week is?
Do you remember?
What's the shape of the week?
Oh, if you said the square, you're correct.
The square is our shape of the week.
And remember, the square has four sides
and four straight lines.
Let's practice drawing the square.
First, I'll put it on the board.
And let's meet back over again
at our drawing and writing board.
I'll use a red marker for the square.
Okay, watch me first.
I'm going to draw one first,
and then we'll do it together.
Here we go.
I'm going to start at the top
and go down,
then go across,
go up,
and across.
Square.
And guess what?
I didn't even lift up my marker.
I kept it there.
Watch again.
Let's try it together.
Start at the top.
Let's go down first.
Down,
then across,
and across.
Wow, the square.
Let's do it again.
Start at the top.
Go down,
across,

Another square.
One more time.
Start at the top.
Go down,
across,

Wow, we did it.
We did it again.
Now the square, you can continue practicing
drawing your square as well.
And if you need help,
you ask someone at home for help.
You did great today.
Keep on practicing and you'll continue to get better.
Let's go back to our circle time board.
Now, let's go down to our number of the week.
This number has a one and a six.
Do you remember what the number is?
We've been counting this many dinosaurs all week.
Our number of the week is,
what's this number?
16.
If you said 16, you're correct.
A one and a six.
First the one, then the six.
Together makes 16.
16 is our number of the week.
Let's put it on the board.
16 is a pretty big, big number.
And we've been counting 16 dinosaurs.
Let's make sure we still have our 16 dinosaurs.
Help me count.
I'll point with the pointer, you count aloud.
Here we go.
One, two, three, four,
five, six, seven, eight,
nine, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16.
16 dinosaurs.
We have 16 dinosaurs.
How many dinosaurs do we have?
16.
If you said 16, you are correct.
Great counting.
Thank you for helping me count.
Now let's find out, what's the weather?
What's the weather?
What's the weather out today?
Is it sunny?
Is it cloudy?
Is it raining out today?
What's the weather where you live?
You may have to go look out your window
and then come back and tell me what you see.
I'll give you some time.
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do do, do, do, do.
Oh, are you back?
Great, what did you see?
What's the weather where you live?
Oh, really?
Well, I want to find out
what the weather is here, where I live.
I'll look out my window
and then I'll come back and tell you what I see.
Oh, it seems like it's very bright out today.
I see sun.
I think it's a bright and sunny day.
Will you help me find a picture that represents a bright and sunny day?
Great. I found these two pictures.
Is this the bright and sunny day or this one?
Which one? You can point.
Ah, if you pick this one, you're correct.
This is our sunny day picture.
Let's put it on the board.
Ah, the weather is sunny.
Let me read that again.
The weather is sunny.
It sure is bright and sunny here where I live.
Now, let's help our friend Weather Koala.
Yes, Weather Koala.
Let's help him get ready for this bright and sunny day and it's warm outside.
Okay, Weather Koala.
Let's start with your favorite blue jeans.
I think I have them right here.
Favorite blue jeans with the belt.
The belt.
Let's put them on.
Okay, Weather Koala.
Now, it's a bright and sunny day.
Do you think he can wear his red smiley shirt with long sleeves
or his green jacket?
What do you think?
It's warm out.
Ooh, you want to put on his red shirt today with the smiley face?
If you pick this one, I agree.
Why don't we save the jacket for another day?
Okay, we'll save this for another day.
Let's put on his red shirt.
Here you are, Weather Koala.
Now, he needs something for his feet.
Should he put on rain boots or red sneakers?
What do you think?
You can point.
Ah, if you chose red sneakers, I agree.
This is perfect for a sunny, bright day.
Why don't we save the rain boots for a rainy day?
Great.
We'll put on the sneakers.
Oh, Weather Koala's almost ready.
He has books and toys he's going to bring with him today.
What can he put them in?
Oh, his backpack.
B for backpack.
His blue backpack.
Here you are, Weather Koala.
He's ready for this bright and sunny day.
See you later, Weather Koala.
We'll see him next week.
Now, it's time for our circle time song.
Will you sing with me?
Great.
Today, we're going to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Get those fingers ready.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
Get ready.
Here we go.
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again
Dance.
Sing it again.
Get ready.
Here we go.
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
