Watch this video to learn some of the highlights from Pat Gelsinger's keynote speech at Computex 2024 in Taiwan.
Key announcements included the launch of the Xeon 6 with E-core, bringing high performance and energy efficiency to modern data centers, and the launch of AI personal computers with new products like Lunar Lake and Panther Lake, driving the next wave of AI integration in personal computing.
As an Intel ambassador, I wanted to take a few minutes and share some of the recent updates
that Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO, announced at Computex 2024. Pat started his speech by talking
about the huge impact AI will have, comparing it to the internet revolution 25 years ago.
He said AI will be everywhere, changing every device and every industry.
And Intel is leading this change, aiming to bring AI to all parts of the tech world.
One major highlight was Intel's progress in semiconductor technology.
Pat proudly announced the launch of Xeon 6 with eCores, a powerful and energy-efficient processor
for modern data centers. He also mentioned Intel's goal for fitting a trillion transistors
on a single chip by the end of the decade, showing the company's commitment to advancing technology.
The speech highlighted the importance of Intel's collaborations and partnerships,
especially with Taiwanese companies and other global players.
Pat praised Taiwan's key role in the tech industry and celebrated the long partnership
between Intel and Taiwanese firms. He pointed out collaborations with companies like SAP,
ASUS, and TSMC, which are crucial for advancing AI and semiconductor technologies.
These partnerships drive innovation and create solutions for global challenges.
Sustainability and energy efficiency were also key themes in Pat's speech.
He talked about how Intel's new Xeon processors help reduce power use and space in data centers.
The Xeon 6, for example, saves a lot of energy and takes up less space,
which is good for the environment. Pat gave examples of how upgrading to the
Xeon 6 could save enough energy to power millions of homes.
Looking to the future, Pat shared Intel's plans for developing AI PCs
and introducing new products like Lunar Lake and Panther Lake.
He stressed Intel's commitment to open standards, flexible ecosystems,
and continuous innovation. This vision is about more than just technology.
It's about creating solutions that drive progress and improve lives.
Pat's message was clear. Intel is committed to surpassing current technologies
and shaping the future with groundbreaking advancements.
