Starship Booster 19 with Raptor 3 Installed on Pad! FIRING in hours for Flight 12...
SpaceX has just rolled out Starship Booster 19 (B19) — the first Starship V3 booster prototype — to the new launch pad at Starbase, and a static fire test could happen within hours. This marks a major step toward the next Starship launch and potentially Flight 12, expected in the coming weeks.
In this episode of Great SpaceX, we break down the latest developments from SpaceX at Starbase, where Booster 19 has been lifted onto the Orbital Launch Mount using the famous “Chopsticks.” Early observations suggest that B19 currently carries only 10 Raptor 3 engines, far fewer than the full 33-engine configuration designed to generate over 9,000 tons of thrust. This indicates the upcoming static fire may be a partial-power test, allowing engineers to validate the new launch pad and V3 booster systems before pushing the vehicle to full capability.

Meanwhile, Ship 39, the first next-generation Starship V3 spacecraft, has completed a full round of cryogenic testing. The tests verified the vehicle’s redesigned propellant systems and structural strength as SpaceX moves closer to preparing the ship for its own engine tests and future flight.
But SpaceX is not the only company making progress in the global launch race.
• Blue Origin recently conducted a hot-fire test of the second stage for its New Glenn rocket, powered by the BE 3U engine, as the company prepares for upcoming launches and its future lunar missions.
• Rocket Lab has returned to flight with another launch of its Electron rocket, sending a confidential satellite into orbit.
• In Europe, Rocket Factory Augsburg is moving closer to the first launch of its RFA ONE rocket from SaxaVord Spaceport, part of a growing wave of new small-launch startups.

With Starship V3 testing accelerating, the next few weeks could be crucial for SpaceX as the company prepares the hardware needed for the next flight test. If the static fire campaign succeeds, the timeline suggested by Elon Musk and Gwynne Shotwell could place the first Starship V3 launch attempt as early as next month.
Will Booster 19’s first test ignite a new chapter for the world’s most powerful rocket?
