TRAVEL VLOG | Ski Chalet Tour & Skiing Holiday in Morzine France 🇫🇷

Good morning! It is holiday time. I'm just getting ready to go away. Bring all my hair clips over here. I thought I would just start the day by getting ready with you all this morning. Voice is still a bit croaky because it is 7am and we're leaving in a couple of hours so we've got a nice, nice amount of time this morning to just get organised, not have to stress. So I washed my hair last night and I'm going to curl it this morning and pin it then whilst I do my makeup it will just be sat holding its curl and then we'll get dressed and go. So we are going today to Geneva. We're flying into Geneva but then we're actually driving to France to go skiing which I have been talking about going on a skiing holiday I feel like for years. Tom's never been so I've always wanted to go with him and I do feel like skiing is one of those holidays that especially somewhere just like Geneva or France where it's only an hour, hour and a half flight. It's a nice destination to go with people like with friends, get a chalet or in this case we're actually going with my family. So by the way what I'm doing with my hair, I've just sectioned off the bottom section, I do it in kind of like three layers usually, sectioned off the bottom and then I take sections about that thick each time from the back, curl it, pin it and we'll take that section, curl it, pin it, that section, curl it, pin it. So just so you know whilst we're chatting. Yes so we're going with my family so there is my mum and dad, my brother and his wife and we are staying in a chalet which we got. I'll try and do, I'm sure they won't mind but I'll do like a chalet tour when we get there so that you can see where we're staying. It's in a place called Morsi, so yeah it's about an hour and a half drive from the airport which is, which has meant that we've decided to hire a car especially as, well we've hired two cars between us because it just gives us the flexibility then of, if there's, because we're going for a full week, it's actually eight days including the travel days, so a week, there might be a day that we want to do a bit of exploring or because we're staying kind of like up on the top of the hill it's a, it's like it's a longer walk down to the town so we might just drive down to the town for like, if we're going out for lunch or dinners or you need to do a supermarket shop, that kind of thing. So we thought let's get a car, it'll give us the flexibility of the odd day if we want to drive somewhere to do a spa day or I don't know, some of them might want to go drive back into Geneva and do a day in Geneva, I think especially because my brother and his wife have been skiing a few times, they are, I would say they're at a higher level of skiing and I'd like to maybe get to where they are. Mum's not skiing at all and my dad will probably ski a couple of days of the, maybe two or three days of the whole week, whereas I'm quite keen to ski most days to be honest with you, I mean we'll see how my body feels because I know it can be quite tiring. In my mind I'm like yep skiing all day every day but actually the reality of it is that I probably will be exhausted or just want a break from it at some point but we'll see, I'll take you along with me. Today's video we're going to focus on getting there, do a little travel with me vlog and a chalet tour of where we're staying. We did have an email from the owners to say that there's a road closure so it might take us longer to get there which is a bit of a shame but she did say it could be back open again today and I do believe this chalet is available to rent, well in fact I know it is, it is available to rent so provided the owners are happy with me too, which again why wouldn't they be, I will, I can include maybe a link to where we're staying in the description box below. I'm going to take the next tier, the next level um just like that and then just carry on really so I might chat to you when I've started doing my makeup because what I've done is I've condensed down my makeup to like a really small essentials set that I'm going to take with me so that I wasn't taking loads of stuff I don't actually need. Hair now done, just sat in front of the window so I will show you my little pouch, this is one that I got from, do you remember I got this from Tesco's, I think I included it in one of my gift guides, it's a good little stocking filler gift idea type pouch, it's the perfect size to fit every single makeup product that I need including brushes as well so, oh in fact no I am missing one thing, I wanted to take my tea to tan, in fact I'll go and get that to put it on now but it's a full-size one and I was going to see in the airport if they've got a mini one just because I do feel like it's quite a big product to take. Hi Terry, tea to tan, so I just spritz it onto a brush and sometimes I actually just focus it on like where I would put bronzer or sometimes I do it all over but you see how it just adds an instant bit of bit of colour, there's no coverage with this though, it's more you just go for the colour really. So yeah I'm going to see if I've got a small one, I know they sell smaller ones I just will hope that they have one and if not it's not like an essential, essential it just adds a bit of colour to my face but yeah I don't I don't need it in my makeup, my everyday makeup for travelling for the week so yeah if they've got a small one we'll get that but anyway that's what I do with my tea to tan, so I will take this brush in case I do manage to find a small one because this is like my dedicated tea to tan brush. Family have just set off to come here, we're all flying from Manchester so they've got a couple of hours drive to get here first and then yeah they're on route, it's exciting. Right base product, I'm going to use my my Charlotte, Charlotte Tilbury Clarins BB Skin Detox Fluid, this has SPF 25 already in it but sometimes, well most days, I'll still put SPF on underneath anyway but I go in with about that much and then I also like for my base the flawless filter, sometimes if I'm having a no makeup makeup very light base I'll actually just go in with this but I like to mix it in with that BB cream for a bit of extra coverage and then lastly for my base I do this all at the same time just for ease and convenience, is a concealer, I'm using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, I usually use the collection one but mine is on the dregs so I need to buy a new one and I thought I don't want to, I don't want to take one that's basically ran out so this one, this one works well. Oh have you got muddy paws? Hairdryer? What? I will just blend all of that in and just bring it down my neck, can you hear the hairdryer? I think Tom's washed his shoes and they're not quite dry so he's, he's hairdrying them, I think that's what he's doing. So for my base that is it, oh apart from obviously I will go in with a powder and again I usually take the Laura Mercier powder but the pot's double this size so I thought I'd take this smaller one that I've got which is the Max Factor Facefinity Pro Blur but before we do that brows I'm using the Precisely My Brow Pencil from Benefit in Shade to just brush through my brows first and then it's a really fine tip one which I personally prefer, they do have thicker ones but I like the really fine tipped one so that I can really like draw on some brush strokes especially here where I lack fullness in my brows and then all this radiator I'm sat next to is turned on, do you know what I'm going to turn the heating off because we're going in a couple of hours and we don't need the heating left on whilst we're gone, where everything comes out, hello gorgeous boy, are you going on your holidays as well for a week? Oh officially the worst part about leaving is leaving Mr Barney Boo, we had an extra big family cuddle in bed this morning, an extra long cuddle, I'll just run through the Got To Be Schwarzkopf Brow, what do they call this, Brow and Edges Gel just to help keep them in place, not that they move very much when they're not laminated I feel like they're just pretty, pretty flat, I don't know why I got, because I got into the habit of going to get my brows done and then I stopped and I don't know what it, well in fact I probably could tell you what it was, it was that after every session I was booking in for my next one and there was one occasion where I was like you know what I feel like I want like rather than booking in again I'm going to have this time off and then do it again and I just never rebooked because I do feel like when you're putting products on your brows, same with lashes and lash lifts, you do kind of frazzle them a bit, although brows I was using Nanobrow for a while which was helping thicken them and then again I just fell out of the habit of using it, you need to just stick with those things don't you, I'm going to go in with this blush which is the Giorgio Armani Illuminist Silk Cheek Tint in shade 53, it's a nice bright cool toned pop of pink, I just drag a bit over my nose as well, I thought I think I also have in here, I know I've not brought it with me so again most days I will I have been using the Toasted Teddy Road one but I just thought I'll take one blush and I just thought I think I was thinking this one will look nice, fresh faced, nice on the slopes rather than the other one which is much more warm toned, this one's nice and cool so yeah blush done, bronzer I've got a brand new fresh Hoola which I showed you in my pack with me vlog which I got from in the clearance from John Lewis, I think it's because I had a quick look online, I'll leave all these products linked below as well but when I was linking them in that description box and I went to find this one, I think they're changing up the shades Benefit are, I think they're doing them rather than Hoola Caramel, Hoola Original, Hoola Toasted, I think they're bringing out like a range of, oh little goes a long way in a fresh palette, I think they're bringing out like a range of colours so it's like instead of having names like that it's going to be like light, medium, medium dark, dark or something like that, I'm guessing that's why they're on clearance is to get rid of the old stock ready for the new, ready to make room for the new stock that's going to be coming in with the new name and then rather than take an eyeshadow palette I thought with this I'll be able to just use an eyeshadow brush, put a bit on the lid and use this as my eyeshadow, I did also get if I wanted to do a bit of a heavier makeup look, I am bringing this which I'm not going to use for today but a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick, this one's in Downtown Brown just again to deepen it if I wanted to and what else, do a tiny bit of highlighter, I've got this mini Charlotte Tilbury highlight in Spotlight, I have a large one of this but they just last so long I'm not even squeezing the product out it's just any excess that was already on there, just pop a bit on my brow bone, bridge of my nose, cupid's bow and cheekbones and I'll just use my finger too and then we've got a bit of powder to go on, mascara we've got the, oh shall I take a new one actually because that one's drying out a bit, I think I'm going to regret this, we'll try it now and see how I get on with it, the Sky High Lash Sensational mascara but then I've also, Lash Sensational have brought out this body rather than Sky High, do we try this new one, try it now and see how I get on with the brush, oh yeah that's nice, just because I feel like the Sky High one is just like drying out a bit too, like I've had it for long enough now that I need to get a new one but they sent this one in PR and this is the first time I'm using it and I really like this, so I with mascara and without, Tom did say, suggest like oh how far is it to drive where we're going so that we could bring Barney and I just thought I don't, that's the dream but it is, it's too far to drive where we're actually going but I, we would consider that, doing a little road trip instead so that we can go as a whole fam, right lips, now I think my lip liner I've put in my hand luggage so let me go grab that, this is the Iconic Nude Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude, it's a nice time of day to go to the airport this because I feel like we didn't have to rush last night, you know any last minute packing bits we've got time to do today but setting off to go to the airport half nine ten ish, it's like not rushed but also you're not lingering too long because there's nothing worse than, well for me anyway, the type of person I am especially with travelling but if you have a flight later on in the day I just feel like I'm sat around waiting all day for it and then we end up going to the airport really early, right okay that is my lip liner, I think I'm going to go in with this, this is a bit, usually I just use a lip balm but this is just to hand, my lip balm is in my hand luggage, this is from Too Faced and it's their Lip Injection Maximum Plump, I remember using this for the first time I think when we lived in America so I would have been about 14, 15 when I first used this but that's my makeup done and that is everything that I'm taking so that's nice and easy and like I said all fits in to one little makeup pouch, we're on the other camera, it's been a while since I've used this camera, I have to remember to look here but yeah we're all ready to go I think, Barney's gone on his holiday so I'm sad to see him go but I thought I would just show you my airport outfit which is very comfortable, very casual but I wanted to wear this big thick coat which obviously would have taken up a lot of room in the case so we've got this big coat to wear, I'm wearing my American Vintage joggers, I've packed the jumper because I don't think I'm going to need it I do have the last in case it is a bit chilly when we get there and then my Ugg boots, so very comfy and cosy and casual for the journey and I'm taking my Chloe handbag for hand luggage, suitcase is packed and ready, family is about five minutes out so they'll be here shortly and then we're going to Uber across to the airport, nice and early, probably a bit too early but I'm, I was just saying to Tom I can't when I'm ready I'm like we're both sat here ready, you are, you're all packed, okay well he's making a coffee but I'm sort of jittery and like what do we do now, and guys this time I'm not going to buy a puzzler, I'm going to take a puzzler that I've already got because I do this all the time every time I go on holiday I buy one and I get nowhere near to finishing it so this is my entertainment for the plane although we have downloaded a Peaky Blinders episodes we're re-watching all of them ahead of the new movie coming out but we've started from the beginning and I think the movie is out now in the cinema like for you guys watching and on Netflix in a couple of weeks so we're not going to finish in time I don't think we might end up having to watch on Netflix but it's the one, Chloe bag, oh okay I need to get used to this camera because I forget it it's like a on a gimbal and it tracks well it tracks yeah is it is it this button here where you can track your face Chloe bag with all my laptop and everything in it just fell to the floor I was hoping to get a by terry tea to tan the mini size they don't sell it which is a bit annoying so we're just having a quick look in the duty free before heading over to we're gonna go to the lounge and just have like some breakfast but yeah they've got all these travel exclusives but just not by terry see they do have a good selection this was the mascara that I was saying I really like the Lancome Hypnose when I was doing my makeup oh they've got some lip perfectors as well how much are these how much over there you pay 38 so how much are they full price this is really good as well the hourglass vanish airbrush concealer cheers old school vlog and then I didn't realize she's filming it no it was all right it was the old school boober rant plane snacks in hand we've literally got lunch the flight was delayed but so far it's delayed by 40 minutes so fingers crossed we'll be all right um but yeah we've grabbed some lunch for the plane that's us we're saying they just announced a passenger to come we had that once didn't we where they literally called our names on the go to gate I'd do anything I can not to fly right now and that's the suitcase made for me that we're just waiting for our bag we've landed car secured we're all ready to go doing car hire at an airport isn't half a palaver we've also had an extra palaver because Tom's license is expired so my brother's having to drive which he's fine with but now I'm trying to find my parents to see where they are so that I can give my case to them where are they over here so that we've got a bit more extra room in our car because our car is slightly smaller than this so he found it so can I leave my car my suitcase in here yeah we've got loads of room yeah where's she going is that mom and dad are they here we're here look at that that is scaring me apparently that's going to be a blue but that to me looks like it's literally vertical so that's more zine down there and then this is our chalet look at the views we're going to have can't wait to see it in the daylight tomorrow pizza but we don't know it yeah that's what I said what time are these people going to be here they're on the way so it won't be long I the artwork upstairs front door this is where you come in there's dad out the front oh this gimbal I have to get used to it I don't usually use this camera so no shoe policy in this house which is fantastic so we've bought slippers have you bought any I have got some of whatever those like old school tent shoe type things Tom's bought some oh my god you've got the perfect gear for the retro day yeah we're okay right let's go into here we've got up here the little mezzanine which is I say little it's actually huge um for a nice chill zone on the ground floor with behind here we've got yoga bits and weights and then out here still on ground level we've got master suite in here which is absolutely gorgeous this is the primary room with I can't wait to see the views in the morning and then the bathroom in here is gorgeous as well it's so nice there I am hello we have missed look how gorgeous this is and look floor to ceiling as well obviously you're just getting reflection in there but wait oh they've turned the lights off for the slope oh no they haven't it's round there over there there's a big slope over there so yeah this is the main bathroom just doing a tour this is your no this is your room the parents room and then back out here we have to the right the main kind of family bath the bathroom and it's also the toilet that we would have potentially it's like the last toilet before you leave the house through here the garage and exit um or we will probably be most likely using this room which is the boot room it's so cozy in here we've got heated boot things that come on so that our boots are nice and toasty in the morning when we put them on we've got some guys on route currently that we've pre-booked to fit skis and ski boots so they're on their way so as soon as they get here we'll be in here having our boots fitted our skis fitted and then this will be the room that we use for before leaving to go skiing okay right back out here that bathroom in there which I just showed you which is pretty much the bathroom for up here which we've not actually been up here yet this room we haven't had set up because we don't need it but this is the bunk bedroom where if you had kids let's see if there's a light I can put on there we go if you had kids this would be all set up for them which is perfect little reading lights on each bed little mezzanine and back downstairs downstairs again into the main kind of living space on this floor we can see that slope lit up again over there we've got fire which we'll get going seating area loads of seating area which is nice isn't it obviously it's a chalet for like however many people 16 six of us we've got plenty of seating space and then through here in fact I'll just show you what the kitchen looks like nice big dining table and then we've got the cinema room in here nice and cozy with some games and everything as well so we've got a whole cupboard full of in there we brought cards didn't we I think we've got downstairs loo show you in here in the kitchen because we've got a whole pantry unit as well washer dryer dishwashers glassware and then we'll go have I shown everything on this floor no I'm not showing your room I was getting confused and I was thinking what's what's through here and then through here is where my brother's going to be staying and his wife actually your room's quite big how do you get oh you have got access to the balcony yeah oh it's perfect this is the best room do you think yeah definitely I like the um I like the fact that it's on the ground floor as well oh big light oh you turn the corridor lights let's get it on and then nice bathroom and then downstairs again is where we're staying we've got the choice of a couple of bedrooms down here in fact I think there's three that we can choose from plus we're on a level down here where if you can see outside we have this gorgeous view and look at that massive hot tub and outdoor seating area so we will be sure to we will sure to be having I can't get my words out um some like hot tub time out here it's gorgeous we have got a room through here we haven't really decided which room we're going for this one actually feels a bit bigger so maybe we will go in here it just doesn't have access to the balcony but that's fine there's a balcony upstairs that we can go on to and then this bathroom yeah I think this one's bigger because the other options are this uh there's two rooms here this one is the smallest room which still has its own en suite and then this is the one that we were looking at because it has access to the balcony but like I said I think the other one's better this is the James Bond room got the James Bond um posters um well like artwork there and then the bathroom through here very similar but yeah I'm feeling like this one might be the one through there decisions decisions but that is our chalet tour for the week I think what I'll do is well tonight we were going to do a supermarket shop and then um get some bits for breakfast and for dinner tonight and just have a chilled one but actually we've missed the boat because our flight was delayed the supermarket shuts in 20 minutes and we've got the ski guys coming to fit us so we won't have time to do that so we think we might just pop out for some casual food this evening did talk about hockey game a nice hockey game but again I think we're going to miss that um and what else are we doing this evening oh we'll do a supermarket shop in the morning yeah got ski passes got everything sorted yeah we're all getting to that like hangry stage aren't we like no energy yeah we just put them on get them fitted and then well I've only bought two pairs of ski socks because I find them quite tight on my legs so I might just go leggings and boot socks yeah I've only got three pairs but George told me he's got 17 so I'll use some of his pens maybe the men's ones might be slightly bigger on the calves you're sorted where's mum okay um so yeah I think we'll close this vlog up here that's this vlog done that's the travel vlog done we're here we made it we're safe we're in awe of this place it's gorgeous well done dad for getting there yeah it's beautiful and um we're here for the next week so I'll pick up the camera again probably tomorrow fresh in the morning enjoy a nice chilled dinner tonight and then um I keep thinking those lights over there are the slope and I go oh they've turned them off yeah it's the place that she's just recommended for dinner okay so we can check it out from the bottom see what color it is yeah it's not that snowy I probably didn't need my room boots I'll just wear my odds the whole time it'd probably be more likely I pray chemplin or whatever if we walk yes because that's right down there on that slope so that's where you come down to it and then I guess you know if like my feet are hurting me I mean we're only five minutes five minutes from here aren't they yeah anyway I'm gonna close off this video here so I hope you guys have enjoyed traveling with us and I will see you guys
