SKI VLOG 🇫🇷 Come Skiing With Me | a fun family trip to Morzine France

I have to just do this introduction out here. Good morning and welcome to Norzine. We are in France, well we actually, Switzerland is just over there. We flew into Switzerland yesterday into Geneva and we drove down here to France to the mountains and we are on a skiing holiday for one week with my family and I, if you missed my last videos, I've done like a pack with me and a travel with me so some of you may already know that we are here. It is our first morning this morning so we're waking up nice and fresh, feeling like we're just taking in the surroundings. It's the first time we've actually seen the views because when we arrived last night it was dark already. With a few flight delays and things in between it meant that we missed doing a food shop which we were going to do last night and just have a chilled one so instead we actually went out for dinner which was delicious. We went to a place called La Rotonde if you ever come to Morzine. It was, I think it was like a well known amongst the locals place this morning. A few of the peeps have gone over to do the shop which I don't know if you'll be able to see it on camera but just down there is the Carrefour which is the local supermarket. So they've gone to do a food shop this morning to get some breakfast bits. I think the plan is going to be for kind of like, I mean we've got this beautiful place. I have done a full chalet tour on my previous video so you'll see that if you've seen that video. So yeah we have a beautiful place, beautiful kitchen area back there so we have plenty of space to self cater. So what we're going to do I think the majority of the time is fill up on a nice breakfast, have a nice chilled start to the day, head out skiing for the majority of the day and then head back to have dinner here or pop out, just kind of play it by ear, see how we feel. Have lunch out on the slopes hopefully. So yeah we're in an area called Morzine but I think the majority of the skiing happens in Avoriaz which is either a 15 minute drive or I can just see down there there is a, I think it's called the Super Morzine which is a like gondola to Avoriaz which is probably like 10-15 minutes and then there's another couple more to get higher up the slopes and we can ski from there back to Morzine. So that will probably be more likely the plan because although there are slopes here in Morzine there's not, it was really warm last week so there's not as much snow here than I think there will be over there. Yeah, welcome to my skiing vlog and yeah I hope you enjoy. We did a bit of a shopping list last night so as soon as the guys are back I'll show you what we bought. I'm just exploring the kitchen whilst making a tea. I'm going to get over here. Yes, we're looking for teaspoons but look at this. Grab a teaspoon. I was just saying exploring the kitchen whilst making a tea and I've just found this cupboard and this is 100% a cupboard that I wish we'd have installed in our kitchen so if anyone's looking to do a kitchen reno consider this because I think this is genius. I've seen it before online and I'm like why didn't we do this? Cupboard for your chopping boards. Yeah, we're definitely lacking that in our room. You can fit trays in here as well so yeah I thought that was something worth showing you. Another kitchen discovery, you'll have seen this in the tour but we've got a pantry in here and I've just realised they've got the same basemats as us. We've got some of these from H&M home. We've even got dalesford candles up here. Pick your own eggs and squeeze your own orange juice. It's like I have a six-year-old child in here. The B.M. Biscuits. The B.M. Biscuits. Frosties. The B.M. Biscuits and I'm Matt. Because you guys were saying, oh did you get some biscuits? Yeah, what's wrong with biscuits? There's death in a box. You just eat quite a lot of food don't you? So in between meals. There is a wine fridge. Is it like that? You bought it for me but we have to keep it in the fridge. No, it's in your room. I've got nuts in. Your dad's bought this one as well. It's basically, I mean you can eat it wherever you want. Just be careful. That looks good to be fair. If I ever, if it's ever too late and I'm going deaf, I could win it. Yeah. Do you think you would just try it now? That's what I'm saying. I'll tell you. I was going to say like, don't let him go to heaven without tasting charcoal. It's our food haul. We've got some berries, pastries, bread, cheese board bits, hams. What's in that? Is that porridge? Porridge oats. Champagne. Fresh eggs, waters, crisps, snacks. Yeah, go for it. What are you going for? Is this your rosé of choice? Champagne for mum? Not for mum. For everyone else. What else? We've got pate, coffee capsules. What else are you doing? Nice. Chad, block your nose. You're not an egg fan, are you? Skiing day one. It is warm in here. I think it's the boot thing, isn't it? The boot heater. Outfit for skiing day one. We've got my sunnies, which I'll probably put in my bag actually. This is from Oysho. I've got my Jaylux set on. All ivory. I love this. I thought you'd like that. Yeah, we're having one. You know that tanny leather one in the sunroom? Ready to go. I've got yours. Off we go. The boys are somewhere back there. We're going the opposite direction, aren't we? We're going out of Morzine. Well, that's Morzine down there, isn't it? And now we're going, oh, my ears are popping. Are yours not? No. We don't know where the boys are because we just jumped in. And then Tom put his skis, after hitting my dad in the head with his skis, in this cart behind us. There's three different guys there. I'm not sure they are. I think he held on to them. He must have taken them back out and put them... We'll watch because if not, we're going to have to grab them because they'll go back out. And then we'll be waiting even longer. Then I will probably cry. You know, some people cry for skiing because it's like, it's been too much today. Mine would be crying because we haven't even got on the slopes. I don't think I've been on a ski holiday and not cried at some point. It's a bigotry. It's like a horrible day and you're going over the edge and there's wind everywhere, you're cold, it's uncomfortable. The wind's going against you because we're smaller. We're just stationary. First chairlift. We're riding up to the top and it is gorgeous, isn't it? It's nice, isn't it? So pretty. Did you feel your ears popping in the thing? No. Oh, just me then. Just me. My brother's back there somewhere. Dad and Liv are up front. I like this. Watching the skiers come down. It's gorgeous. First chairlift. We were saying it feels so different to the Trafford Centre. It feels really slippy. The snow's very wet so it feels like you could pick up... Oh, someone's down. Like that TikTok where they then blow the trumpet. Boop, boop, boop, boop. For the team. Yay. Oh, someone's dropped their pole. Uh-oh. Go on. Thirst trap. Jesus. All the weight on the outside ski. Yeah, I know. What? Well, I've got that for the film. Good? No, sorry. That was a bit dramatic. If ever I gasp like that again, it's for a dog. Look at the snow. Oh my goodness. He's not got boots on, look. As yet. Excusez-moi. Who? Oh, no. What happened there, Cannonball? Oh. Just walking through Mosey in town. All done skiing now. Most people have had a change of clothes, but unfortunately, we didn't bring spare shoes, did we? So we're still in our stompers. We've just done some shopping. We've got some new trousers. I've copied Liv with her trousers. What's the brand again? Double Art. Now we're just going to... Are we going to do the trampoline? I'm ready. Come on, you can. Put your legs on my lap. We've come out for dinner. Our second night of dinner. We've come to a place called Le Grillon. At this point, we're just trying to dart in and find somewhere we could because two of us are still in ski boots. So it might be quite casual here, we don't know. It could be the best meal we ever had. It could be the worst. So we're just going to order some food and then go back and be alright. That's going to be fine. Down this green to the next trailer. Getree supermarket shop in a foreign country. Browsing all the shelves. We're actually just getting stock up for some dinner bits tonight. Look at the size of them garlic. Yay! That was painful. That log is now fully on fire. This log is on fire. Good morning. I feel like I haven't had a proper chat and catch up in a while, but it has been a couple of days now. We're actually on officially day three. First day was so much fun getting on the slope. Second day yesterday was pretty much a repeat of the first day. Just a bit more casually. We actually went a bit further and I had a bit of a freak out. First day I felt so confident and I think because obviously my dad and Tom well Tom's a beginner and dad hasn't done it in many many years. We were just pacing ourselves a bit and I don't know I just felt more confident. Yesterday we went higher up and Livvy didn't come as well so it was just yesterday it was just myself my dad, my brother and Tom. And we went so high. And although I think we went that high the first time it just was a bit more overcast so I couldn't see as far. And we also went a slightly different run but we went on this really wide run that dad and Tom felt so much more confident on being able to do bigger S's and slowing down. But for me it freaked me out. I had a bit of a tear, a bit of an emotional freak out because I was like I'm so high up and I just felt almost a bit like fear of heights. And I was like I forgot how to scale like I was just doing snow plough and I was I don't know I just wasn't enjoying it. So we got down half way and then I was like so much more comfortable doing from half way. So anyway because Liv didn't go yesterday she was with my mum yesterday she had a break. She's now gone off with my brother and Tom to go and do a similar thing maybe even go a bit higher see how they get on. And I'm going to go and meet them in a few hours to go for lunch. We're going to Folly Dews today so we've booked a table nice and early. It's a bit of a party scene as well so I feel like we'll it's nice that we're getting there early to have a table, enjoy the scenery, well hopefully we're sat outside but who knows. Have some lunch and then by the time we finish lunch we'll probably just start picking up getting a bit of party dance dance and we'll have a little dance for a couple of hours and then come back and ski back. So it'll be nice to, because you kind of have to ski to it so I'm going to meet them at the top of the lift, they're going to aim to be there at like half eleven I'll get there for half eleven, meet them ski to Folly, stay at Folly ski down this evening and that's me done today. That'll probably be enough, my shins are hurting. We'll have to put on some proper ski boot socks on today that are a bit more padded. So yeah I bought some new, I can't remember what I vlogged and what I haven't but I bought some new Santa Pets that are a bit more fitted they're a bit more flattering the others that I've got are like obviously like matching set but you'll see when I try on the pair of trousers for today. They're just a bit dressier I would say so a bit more fun to like get a bit dressed up so yeah I'm going to hair wash, freshly straightened curl, I've only got straighteners here so I'll see how I get on with them, do my makeup, get dressed and then I'll show you my final outfit for a day on the slopes and Folly days, a Folly day which should be fun. So breakfast, I'm just going to have, the others have just set up and then I might also before we go just have a little piece of toast or something but berries, yoghurt fruit, banana a little tea you're actually sat on a mint tea that I'm going to have for my tea because I'm using you as a tripod I've also got this to take today as well which should be fun, the Insta360 which we haven't had a go with yet so that should be good they've got the invisible selfie stick in their backpack, the boys have got backpacks on so they've taken that for me, I'll bring the camera and hopefully we'll try and get some shots of us, it's like with an invisible selfie stick so it's more like it's just quite cool footage so fingers crossed that works and then yeah we'll just hopefully have a nice fun day we had a very chilled night last night we came back Tom had a work call, I had a call Liv and Mum had been in the town during the day so we came up about, we had like a late lunch at 3-4ish then came back up to the chalet and just stayed here all night which was so nice, just to have a chill night we had games night, we played imposter for the first time which was quite good I was voted the imposter, I think it was four times three or four times no yeah it was four times and I've won every time apart from one time we did it where it was two imposters and it was both me and Tom and we didn't win that one but yeah it's a good game if you've never tried it welcome to skiing officially full day 3 right so my ski outfit for this afternoon skiing Polydeuce, fun day I've gone for these fitted more fitted trousers which I picked up actually from the town centre I wanted some more fitted ones because you get can you hear me? I wanted some more fitted trousers for today and then I've got this top on from Hilara a nice kind of like roll neck some sunnies from YSL and my mittens are I've only got the one ski jacket so the same white one that I wore the first day and the second day we're ready to go okay I'm with mum and dad oh do you not want to be on camera? well let me just get myself glammed first we are heading up to the top, we're in one of these gondola things up to it's called Supermauzeen so we're heading up to the top then I'm going to, I've got my skis to ski down, get a chairlift and then I'm meeting the other guys there and then we're going to ski to Folly so I'm going to be by myself on a chairlift with random strangers no oh no no not this bit, oh I hate it when it stops no not this bit so because I think George could whiz down but it's quite a hard bloop, it's the one that me oh with the ice on it when we left dad with you on that first day we did it and we were like oh that was hard still not as hard as yesterday though I don't think we're still going and I think mum and dad might even because none of us have ever been up this slope because there's obviously not much snow on this side I think you're going to maybe go and get the cable car up there aren't you to see yeah and what the view is on the other side, you'll have to take a photo so that we can see yep so we know what's over there but the others have pretty much gone to where did they say they went to, the highest slope it's like on the Switzerland border so I'm glad I didn't go with them this morning because it's the heights for me I'm fine with the skiing but that big open slope yesterday I panicked a little bit I had my panic so yeah it's really peaceful when you've got the chairlift isn't it the open one is it cold blowing on you no there's been no wind at all no it's not cold it's been beautiful and also it's kind of like a bit of a break in between skiing to have that open chairlift it allows it to cool down a bit because it's so hot that's why I've braved it without a shell in a layer today this usually has the fleece on the inside so we're either going to regret it or be thankful for it and I've got the tighter trousers on which make me a bit warmer but when you're carving the whole side I said, I mean the gondola on the way up I was like what a little bit of makeup I'm going to be I was like your sister's going to tear it up looking like she's not skied five hours and then I'll be like crying yeah at least you're not crying I was yesterday no mascara left my engagement ring's twisted oh I thought you were going to say something my engagement ring it's like it's like that picture where it's like just skiing down for one run ready for my apres red bull call me and then they go jump, woo, red bull give me a kill I'm trying to like trade a view is it hot? cause I gotta say you're looking like you're good for me wrapped up nice and neat baby don't be shy we'll be here dancing day and night get in my groove now don't be shy cause I got my favorite things you could be the part where it all begins you could be the first and the second and the third and the rest of it you could love the things I love there's a jury on top get on my list of the things I love you could be the one I trust for the second chance I'll say I'm nothing for right I like it all with the jury on top those lads I'm down I knew that was going to happen we need an outro I'm not ending the video we've had 2 days of skiing we've still got 5 days left day 3 is finished Thursday or Friday Friday would be a good one we've been to party you were loving it we didn't do that we went to it but then we did the red still like that one laughing that's a big bird might be a T-Rex laughing hot dogs it is the next day and I've actually had a day off off of skiing I've been here I went down to some markets this morning and a little top up food shop and well we should have got more because we just realised we're cooking tomorrow so we need to go and get some more food bits so we're going to head down now for that but it is, it's actually the evening I've just had a work day, editing day and we're going to go down to the supermarket grab some bits for tomorrow head over to dinner we've booked a restaurant which we went to our first night we got so lucky getting that table it was really nice so we decided to book again tonight as it was the only availability they had left for the rest of the week so we're booking there going there and then we've got a reservation a couple of hours after that at an indoor golf simulator type place that we thought would be quite fun to go boys loving their golf so they're going to go and do that this evening for an hour and then probably head back so yeah that's our plans for this evening and we're ready to go you look nice all in white straight out of a Bond movie hi look how brown you are compared to me bye hi bye what shoes are you wearing? your boots that you've travelled in yeah I've only got my Uggs or moon boots I've not even worn my moon boots that was an absolute waste of a packing space it's just not cold enough it's so warm isn't it I'm warm now it's been 15, 16, 17 degrees I'm surprised we've even got snow to be honest because we've had no fresh snow there is no fresh snow forecast for the next couple of weeks so we've got lucky really with being able to ski as much as we have but yeah there's no fresh snow so it's actually quite hard in places it's a bit slushy and icy especially towards the end of the day so yeah back out on the slopes tomorrow morning bright and early so time for dinner yeah whichever you feel more comfortable in dressy more casual but both look good yeah true yeah it's everywhere very casual anyway isn't it because a lot of people are going straight from skiing even with the ski boots on half the time it's going quick the week so far isn't it hello are you ready let's go I was going to vlog our garlic bread it's the best cheese garlic bread dinner has been consumed on a skiing holiday play golf we're going to do a couple versus couple little challenge loser loser can pay for the round of water no the round of golf drinks round yeah sounds good I'm full after that dinner delicious though our last time ever having dinner this is where we are we didn't realise it was a full unit that we get to ourselves what's this one lights there's a wifi code as well do we lock the door we're in I was not expecting this is there I was not expecting this I thought it would be this big concept where you get drinks and loads of people are in there what a cool thing there you go so the big light put that one on and turn that I think turn it on do you think yeah that's fine people must just use this as an actual place for them to practice it's like what we would have in our own house but look how tall the ceiling is ours definitely would not work George even thought about what he was wearing oh no I couldn't be wearing that can you get it is there a wall behind yes very funny so easily fine what did you say I'm hearing a lot of this yeah they're all very forgiving oh look at that hello oh you're clock moon dragon it is final day of skiing and I'm not going to lie my legs are feeling it I'm feeling a little sore today I remember yesterday as we were coming down the last blue into where we go it's always really hard that last bit is very choppy and bumpy and all of us struggled to get down that last bit so I felt like I was in a constant squat the whole time it was that bumpy so yes we are ready for the final day Tom's just made me pancakes for breakfast which was very nice cheese crepes feeling a little full from that actually so we'll go burn it off today this morning, pack this evening, I think we're going to go out for dinner as well this evening and then we don't have to super rush in the morning, about half nine we need to leave, we actually have to check out by that time but that's perfect timing for us to head off to the airport to head back home, that's safe skiing here we go isn't that the first time oh my gosh they're doing diving team video final day we've come to Ardon just stopped for lunch we've come to a place called Mamo's Cafe and I've ordered what I used to have when we lived in France the galette breton that's where I lived in Brittany it's like a savoury pancake made with buckwheat so I've gone for the egg cheese ham and onions I felt safer that time look at these chocolate cups though my goodness best hot chocolate in town that's good isn't it what's this place called Florian Fontaine we've also picked up some little cookies delish look at that is it friendly yeah look at that oh the drool the drool I like your hair oh he's coming he's
