Piastri blames ‘combination of bad factors’ for pre-race crash at Albert Park

Oscar, obviously hard luck out there. Just talk me through what happened in that moment when you were out on the formation lap. Yeah, I mean, we need to review fully what happened. I think, yeah, I think using, you know, I've got on the kerb a little bit. But from what we've seen as well, I think everything kind of reacted the way it should within the rules. But essentially, I had 100 kilowatts more power than I've had the whole weekend at the point that I shifted. And when I shifted, went into wheelspin. And, you know, given that I was on the kerb already, yeah, it was a combination of bad factors. So, you know, obviously just very disappointed. How much, obviously, does it hurt being in your home race as well? So much fans, so many fans out here for you, and you hadn't even got the chance to start the race. Yeah, a lot. You know, it's a shame. I mean, things like that shouldn't be happening anywhere. But yeah, especially at my home race, it's obviously even more disappointing.
