This was a wooded lot originally, let's give it a yard and a driveway!
Okay guys we're trying to smooth out this front yard a little bit and get it grated out
and uh he's just learning how to use a tractor. Mice! Mice! It ain't got a second time driving
it's first time was just 30 seconds ago. Basically what I found if you curl your
bucket like that and put it on float and you just keep driving backwards on it keep pulling
the material it'll eventually flatten out it's a lot flatter than what it was when we started here
you see I kind of kind of cut in a driveway there driveway is going to be on that side we picked up
all them bricks and throw them over there we picked up all these bricks over here and threw them over
there in the last picked up all them bricks in the last hour put them over there so there's a ton
of bricks in here we've been picking them up picking them up picking them up picking them up
so gotta keep getting it but I've got it pretty well flattened out he's working on the driveway
over there just keep backing up you pull that it'll pull that high and put it in that low
there you got it see how that side's not touching it's gonna drag it over there
after he does it a few times it'll get it good that way I still got my grapple bucket here I got
to grab them stumps and run them around back and drop them off so we'll do that here shortly
okay y'all got a load of rock in here I'm gonna try to make a driveway right here the uh this
load of rock costs 650 bucks can't spread it because the limbs are too close down here
see they can't tailgate spread they won't tailgate spread so I've got to come in here
and spread it myself or they want 800 to spread it so they'll spread it for 800
or I can come in here and spread it myself um so yes you can get this stuff done
but if you've got the equipment i.e tractor loader I guess you could use a wheelbarrow and rake if
really wanted to um if you want to put in some labor you can get it done a lot cheaper so we're
down here um day after work we're going to spread this stuff out and see how far to go see how much
more of the stuff we need and all that good stuff so hopefully we'll be able to uh get some done and
I'll uh show you how it goes here hey y'all we're out here at the road let's walk it one time
I spreaded it all out got it we need to get a rake up in here and rake over it
it's got a little humps and bumps that kind of stuff it's kind of bigger rocks
got to rake it out with a hand rake knock it down if I had my uh if I had my box blade
might be able to do it a little better got about a car wide up here
had a little extra rock so I made a path from here to the door so that should keep your
feet from getting muddy and this here pretty nice pretty nice thick gravel here
laid out some of this looks thin but it's not it's uh where dirt was mixed in with the gravel so
it's nice and thick it's probably three inches here in the middle
gets obviously tapers off smaller on the side right there where that pile was it's probably six
inches thick so that's how we do a driveway knock it out made it pretty wide down here and it kind
of you know most of the traffic is going to come in this way so I made it kind of taper that way a
little bit but I did get it all the way out to there too I didn't want to get too far out there
because the motor grader comes by and scrapes the road you're just going to take it
and you'll lose your gravel so I didn't go crazy out here but like right there it's six inches high
you can't really see pipe and gnats in my face there it is all right y'all that's about all we
got for today uh we'll catch you on the next one make sure you give us a thumbs up and subscribe
the channel if you hadn't already and uh you want to see what we're going to do with this place
make sure you you come back check us out
