Using Sand To Level Potholes In Our Mobile Home Lot...

Y'all want to stay tuned to see what we're going to do. Donnie left me out here with a rake and he said that, "Oh, today we're going to move all of this sand and get it out of the way." And he I'm out here with a rake trying to get it to do what it does. He's all lolly gagging. I don't even know what I'm doing here. If I pull it a little bit. Oh, that's what he was talk. Oh. [Applause] [Applause] [Music] You know, standing around watching Donnie work, holding up this stick, I kind of feel like I'm working for the government. Ronnie. Yeah. All right, Ronnie. The uh Everybody's going to ask why we bought this big old mound of sand. Basically, this is the deal. I can go to Home Depot and I can get one of them little tiny Well, I can get a little tiny bag of sand and it cost me about $4. I can get a half or quarter. I think they're a quarter yard of sand at Home Depot and they charge me uh I think it was $55. Or I can get a dump truck load delivered dumped out here for $200. Mhm. Now I'm going to have to go to Home Depot and pick that bag up and put it in the back of my truck. And it's going to take to do these bricks. It probably took uh it probably took uh 50 bags maybe. Mhm. So do the math on that and you'll figure out what that cost is or it would have took probably two of two or three of those bags of sand. But I'd had to go get them. The big bags quarter quarter yard bags. I'd had to go get them and get them down here and try to figure out how to get them off the truck and had to pull a piece of equipment in to get them off and yada yada yada or I could do this and then I got extra to fill in dirt and all. Mhm. But what we should have done, the first one, first house we did, go back and look, we bought bags of sand. The second house we Well, the first house we did actually, we bought premixed mortar. Mhm. Then about halfway through it, we decided we'd buy we'd be better off buying bags of sand and mortar. When we did this house, we bought the big bags. What we should have done when we did that house was got the dump truck load. Mhm. And we could have done both. We could have done both, but this is only our what? Third one. Third one we've done. So, we're learning as we go. Mhm. So, it's a lot easier to get a dump truck load to dump. Mhm. And you ain't got to mess with it. And you have extra to fill in little cracks and crevices and low spots and that kind of stuff. Mhm. So, we got all this stuff knocked down and pushed down and looking pretty good. If you remember, that's where our septic system was. So, he didn't get it graded out the best. So, we went back in there and filled it up a little bit. So, we got a couple septic lines in there. Mhm. But it's looking good, I think. Yep. Looks nice. But we still got a little bit more. You see this here? I think we let the rain do that. I got to open house tomorrow though. Blame it on the rain. What do I do about the open house tomorrow? It ain't going to rain between now and then. They'll be all right. Just tell them that the uh We're waiting on the rain. We're waiting on the rain. You know, all summer we ain't had that much rain. Exactly. It's been kind of dry. It's been real dry. Pond's about empty. Mhm.
