Inspired by 18th-century porcelain figurines, ceramicist Chris Antemann’s work simultaneously examines and parodies male and female relationship roles. Her delicate, painted figurines populate playful scenes with equal parts charm and cheek. Antemann spent years working with the master craftspeople of Meissen in Germany, but it's her quiet life in Joseph, Oregon that encourages her creative inner voice.
