All right, unloading here, come on.
Jeez Louise, hit the light.
All right, folks, today, a brand new unreleased bat,
our first review for 2026,
the highly anticipated Louisville Slugger Atlas Hybrid.
That's right, this is a two-piece bat,
a composite handle, alloy barrel.
First things first, this should hopefully solve
the Atlas's snapping in half right about here.
And we now basically have a more balanced version
of the Louisville Slugger Select Power right here.
So if the Atlas right here and the Select Power had a baby,
it would be this exact bat.
I'm really curious which of these two bats
the Atlas Hybrid is gonna be more like.
If it's better than both, if it's worse than both,
we're gonna find out, brutally honest, let's go.
So let's see what barrel size this is closer to here.
Atlas and Select Power, the exact same.
All right, that's promising.
And well, I guess all three have the same exact profile.
All right, so let's get a bunt here.
I'm curious if this is gonna have
the Select Power kind of thud,
or at least the old Select Power thud.
Oh, or like the ping that the Atlas has.
Ping, loud ping, wow.
All right, let's kind of ease into it.
No break-in, this is an alloy barrel.
Super ping.
It sounds just like the Atlas.
All right, short hop the wall there.
98 miles an hour, a little swing.
Interesting.
Okay, that should get, let's see.
Oh, geez, all right.
Okay, we are on the board there, 100.3, 403 feet.
Initial impression, I'm a little surprised.
I thought it'd be the other way around.
This feels more like an Atlas than it does a Select Power,
or what I think this is probably closest to,
like the old Select 719.
That's low-key kind of what I was hoping for,
but this is definitely more just like,
it feels weirdly like a one-piece still.
Okay, on the hands there.
Oh, geez, that's really moving well.
Wow, that's impressive.
Okay, 101.2, 363.
Doesn't feel that buttery, but it's hitting well on those.
Oh, I hit the piss out of that, bro.
Oh my gosh.
That went over.
Dude, I haven't done that in a little bit.
Oh, that was crazy.
Okay, 410.102.
Let's try to get some good Velos here.
That sounded a little better.
That was neat of the barrel.
Okay, there's 104.
Smelly a ball.
All right, pretty good.
Damn.
411.102.
All right, I like it so far,
but I'm not getting like the vibe
that the barrel is just sucking up baseballs.
It still kind of feels like a one-piece.
I'm hitting really well though, so I can't complain,
but I'm not getting that first reaction I had
with like the first time I swung the Select Power
or recently when we swung like the Hype Fire.
Bro, this may be the loudest two-piece hybrid
I've ever swung.
103.
Oh my gosh, I almost did the splits.
No way.
That's crazy.
All right, I'm losing my footing here.
All right, we're cooking now.
Oh, we can swing way harder now.
Really good barrel there.
Dude, it's flying like crazy.
104.406.
I'm really curious about the Select Power and Atlas
in comparison to this.
We're going to get one more really good barrel.
These aren't the really hard baseballs yet.
Soon we will bust out the really hard baseballs.
We should get close to 110,
but with the softies, let's get one more here.
Okay, that's pretty much perfect.
Jeez.
Dude, the ball's like floating.
Okay, 105 exactly.
Pretty good, but let's see what these other bats got.
All right, so let's go to the other Louisville Slugger
two-piece hybrid, the Select Power.
This has a huge sweet spot,
but by no means is like this the hottest bat in the game.
Oh, the barrel feels better.
Wow, this feels nice.
I don't think I hit that as hard.
Jeez.
102.410 feet.
That felt good.
The Atlas hybrid makes this sound like the old Select Power,
even though this is kind of pingy.
104.2, that's a tank.
Okay, one more here.
Missed.
That's still going though.
The missed barrels.
I feel like I can miss more
and still get a good enough hit for a home run with this.
That was somehow still 101.4.
I hit that 39 degrees.
That's not a good launch angle for a home run.
The barrel feels better on the Select for sure.
106.6?
Round one goes to the Select Power.
Like in my opinion, for sure.
But let's go to the hard baseballs.
Let's give the Atlas hybrid a second chance.
All right, I'd be disappointed
with anything less than 110 here if I really get it.
There we go.
A little bit into the bat.
That's humming though.
Yeah, 109.6.
Let's go.
That sounds a little better.
All right, 418, 106.
Perfect barrel.
That's gotta be 110.
Heads up, softball team.
109.
All right, I think we should give the Atlas a chance.
All right, with the hard baseballs,
we now have the Atlas One Piece.
I don't know, dude.
I feel like the Atlas and Select Power
are already so freaking good.
That was off the hands for 106.
This feels nice.
Definitely a little less barrel here.
This is noticeably lighter than the Select Power,
where the Atlas hybrid is not.
There's 107.
More balanced bat, obviously gonna be a lot more top spin,
a lot more liners.
That was somehow 110.
Less barrel on this,
but I can just freaking put the bat wherever I want.
105.
So I definitely hit worse with the Atlas
just because it's a lot lighter.
That's still 108, though.
Like, especially for a high schooler,
dude, I still might be leaning this way.
All right, time to get serious here.
We're gonna get a few more with the hard balls
with the Atlas hybrid,
and then go back to the Select Power.
Oh, that is nice.
110.
I might like it better than the Atlas.
I don't know about the Select Power, though, 108.4.
I officially like this more than the Atlas, bro.
Like, even though I feel like my bat speed
is a lot better with the Atlas,
I catch barrels much better with this,
but even better with the Select, at least for now.
107.
I thought that was gonna be faster, though.
Yeah, I'm kinda catching a little barrel fest right here.
109.3.
Well, I guess that's gonna play.
Jeez.
Why was that 104?
All right, unloading here, come on.
Jeez Louise.
Hit the light.
Yes!
Let's go, that's crazy.
Dude, I guess I just got fully extended.
That was 111 flat.
449?
We got proof.
Okay, this is shutting me up a little bit.
All right, Select Power, what you got, come on.
I think this is my baby.
On the hands, 107.6.
Got that clack sound.
The more I hit with this bat, heads up,
the more it's getting not pingy,
and I'm starting to get that clack back.
107.4.
This is the barrel catcher.
Over the building, this is the barrel catcher
of the Louisville BB Corps bats.
And that's not the best exit velo ever,
but it's way more frequent
that I'm getting my ideal contact
at definitely good enough velo to get it out
with the, again, slightly more unloaded Select Power.
It's not like you're gonna need to be way stronger
to swing this over the Atlas Hybrid.
It is barely noticeable, guys.
The Sweet Spot absolutely makes up for it.
107.434.
Okay, do we have 450 in the tank?
I think so.
I don't, ah, it could be close.
I don't think so, though.
Ooh, dude, that was not perfect.
That was pretty dang perfect, for all intents and purposes.
108.443.
Heads up, Cam, that might hit you, sorry.
The Select Power, year in and year out,
is the unsung hero of BB Corps bats.
And the more you hit with it,
I feel like, honestly, the better it gets.
So just swing the same one
and just beat the crap out of it, I love that thing.
All right, last one with the Hybrid, 109.5406.
Again, I think this might even be a tiny bit hotter,
but I barrel it so much better with that,
like I would game the Select.
Good take.
Good pitch.
I think I'm gonna stand by.
It almost feels more like a Goods one-piece
or like a slightly end-loaded one-piece alloy,
maybe like an Omaha, than it does a two-piece Hybrid.
It's really stiff and pingy.
It's fricking good, though.
It's just kind of confusing me.
Okay, last one, Cam.
108.
Beautiful, beautiful swing.
109.434.
We're really splitting hairs here, folks,
but if I had to give you a final verdict,
swinging these Louisville BB Corps is always really tough
because they're really very close.
They're all exceptional bats.
Personally, today,
especially considering the durability issues
we've seen this year with the Atlas,
I'm gonna go three-hole, but that's insane
because this is like our sixth overall ranked bat.
This is a fantastic BB Corps bat.
I would say the younger the hitter, the better this bat is.
And then between these two bats, very similar again.
The swing weight, again, almost negligible.
The pop, almost negligible.
Even if I were to make the argument
that this was a little hotter on Perfect Perfect
and one-tenth of an ounce lighter,
I'm taking the sweet spot of the Select Power
over both these bats, honestly.
It's an end-loaded bat,
but it's not very end-loaded at all.
Again, I feel like the way it catches the ball on the barrel
and again, with just how durable and sturdy this bat is
and how well it does against velo, against mishits,
in cold weather, warm weather,
I think this is one of the most popular bats in the game.
And I think the single most popular bat in college baseball
for good reason, that's one of the bats
in my gamer discussion.
Gotta be the Select Power today.
Like, I think I could probably comfortably say
this is a top 10 BB Corps bat.
I just don't know if it's the best Louisville.
