A Talented Erhu Performer Joins Philadelphia’s Firstival to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at Chinatown

Rosie, invited by the GPACC(Greater Philadelphia Association of Chinese Culture), played the Erhu during Philadelphia’s Firstival to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at the Crane Community Center on Feb 21, 2026.

This is part of the "52 Weeks of Firsts" event, which is a yearlong, citywide celebration honoring Philadelphia’s legacy of innovation produced by the Philadelphia Historic District 250th Committee. Not only was Philadelphia the birthplace of the country, but it was also the backdrop for many other marvels.
