Nestled within the quiet suburbs of Weligama, Hansa Villa is conceived as a calm retreat shaped by its surrounding landscape, calm and grounded in character. The design responds sensitively to the borrowed views of the adjoining paddy fields and distant rubber estate, allowing nature to become an integral part of daily living. A simple, understated architectural form anchors the house to its site, while expansive openings frame long, uninterrupted vistas and invite light, air, and greenery into the interior.

The material palette is intentionally restrained; natural stone, soft-toned walls, timber ceilings, and textured finishes create a sense of warmth and authenticity through quiet layering. Water elements and landscaped edges gently mediate the transition between built form and landscape, reinforcing a tranquil atmosphere throughout the villa. Inside, the spaces are uncluttered and thoughtfully proportioned, prioritising comfort, clarity, and calm. Hansa Villa is ultimately a place of retreat and reflection, where architecture recedes to let nature, light, and stillness define the living experience
