Sorana Cirstea vs. Alexandra Eala | 2026 Dubai Round of 16 | WTA Match Highlights

Oh, that is super work at the net from Gastea. That was awkward. Not an easy shot that, but Gastea made it look pretty straightforward. Yeah, it's a nice point that from Gastea. Oh, wow. That is a beauty from Gastea. Oh, and that is an absolute beauty. Oh, Gastea. Well, she's having a word with the umpire about the noise. Wide and Ayala has done it. Now the crowd, I think, have just realized. It's time off the backhand to gift Ayala the first point. That is super work from Ayala. Oh, found the line with the forehand and then the winner. More comfortable. Oh, that's a beauty. Struck so crisply. Oh, but Ayala with Belter off the backhand. A little lucky, a little flick off the netcord, but now she's getting a little run going. And Ayala does it again. It's another test that she's passed. It was tough against Jasmine Paolini last night and we knew Serana Gastea would make it tough tonight, but she is a remarkable player, a remarkable talent with remarkable support. She's into the quarterfinals here. Only her second at 1000 level. What a performance.
