Emma Navarro vs. Ann Li | 2026 Strasbourg Semifinal | WTA Match Highlights

there's the drop shot that we saw so much in a previous match win three-set win of her tri-sport campaign so far all very alert there that was coming with heat that forehand is absolutely rampant considering this is just the first game brilliant laser-like backhand down the line response from Emma Navarro well that is where a lot of Navarro traffic will go running rings around her opponent right now Emma Navarro looking cool as a cucumber well a matter of urgency for Emma Navarro who whizzes through that opening set that'll prove the real uplift for her as she takes it with a breadstick six games to one but a set to forget from Annalie's perspective could she regroup and get herself together early second Navarro 6-1 that is immaculate from Annalie that's more like it nasty kick wasn't that now good defensive skills as well good serving very effective and that's how she's been all day folks she's only missed she's only lost three points oh there's a lovely rewarding flash for Annalie we've only seen the odd sprinkle of those forehand winners high level tennis in that game from Annalie now that will really encourage a love service hold for the first time in the match oh wonderful winner oh Annalie how crisp what racket head speed and what guts to save a second match point Emma Navarro steadies the storm into her first WTA final on clay showing the poise and patience of a former top 10 player rediscovering her highest gear a generous embrace at the hug between two good companions and compatriots Navarro gets it done 6-1 6-3 and around an hour and a quarter kept her opponent at arm's length throughout broke sir five times and was only broken once herself I would say finally the final of the international the Strasbourg yeah I'm excited um like I said yesterday I think it's my fourth time playing and uh I think the farthest I made it was the quarterfinal so I'm excited to be in the final and um had a lot of fun playing out here today and uh it's another beautiful day in Strasbourg so um yeah good day today I was looking at the data yesterday it's been a tough battle today you make you made it look easy but it wasn't that easy no it's never easy um and yeah Anne's a really tough player and uh made me work for it especially there at the end um you know played a really tough two games after I was up 5-1 and um yeah made it really tough on me so um congrats to her she's had a great week and uh I'm sure she'll do really well uh in Paris next week so um rooting for her uh but yeah happy with my performance today and uh I'm happy to be moving on let me just come back to the to the match because it's very solid first set you didn't open the door at all you well you managed to set up the pace didn't give him give her any free free shots and wow what a performance once again thank you well that's kind of the goal hit the best shots you can without missing um and yeah I feel like I played a pretty good first set and it's always tough um in the second set just trying to uh match the level or um not make that too much of the focus and um yeah kind of reset and continue on with um what I came out here to do so I think I did a good job of that especially on the serve if you don't mind that was way way way impressive today thank you um yeah I got a lot of slack in media yesterday they were asking me what was up with my serve so I had to come out here today and serve a little bit better thank you so much Emma can't wait to see you in finals I was once again finally so happy with that see you tomorrow congratulations once again merci beaucoup
